Rudos took the last two. Tecnicos dived on the rudos at the end of the third fall, came back, started celebrating the countout win, but the rudos slipped back in and submitted.
2) Metal Blanco, Palacio Negro, Stigma DQ Hooligan, Loco Max, Nitro
Loco Max is back to being bald. Tecnicos took 1/3, the last when Nitro fouled Palacio Negro. Tuareg sticks together.
3) Delta, Diamante, Valiente b Euforia, Vangelis, Virus
Tecnicos took the 2/3, Valiente beating Euforia for the deciding pin.
4) Héctor Garza, Jushin Lyger, Super Porky b Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpion, Último Guerrero
Guerrero jumped the tecnicos and took the first. An Escorpion screw up led to the tecnicos taking the second and UG and Escorpion arguing. They settled down, but the tecnicos still won the third, Garza moonsault on UG.
5) Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto b Máximo, Rush, Toscano [CMLL TRIOS]
Challengers took the first, champions took the second. Usual near falls in the third. Avernos beat Toscano, Rush beat Ephesto, Mephisto got Maximo with the Devil’s Wings for the deciding fall.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the CMLL Anniversaro show drew a crowd 8,400. That’s disappointing by Anniversario standards – the least attended show since 1995 – but about what was expected the last week. There’s no distinction between paid/free; SuperLuchas has been pretty insistent free tickets were handed out the day of the show. Atlantis/UG drew 10,100 the week prior, since CMLL did an okay job of promotion a match that was not actually the Anniversario main event.
This may or may not have anything to do with the mystery wrestler, but those on the Box Y Lucha forum have noticed CMLL filed a trade mark for “El Nuevo Mistico”. CMLL’s talked about having a new Mistico since the day the old one left, but not as much in recent months; it’s clear they’ve still be working on it. You can see the PDF filing for the trademark here. The design is pretty obviously the Sin Cara mask and colors, with the Mistico pants. If I’m understanding this right, they filed for the trademark back in May, and maybe got it approved September 27th (that part I’m not sure off.) On the surface, that would fit with the vignette that just started to air hyping a new star.
In this scenario, that would actually seem to disqualify Magnus from being either. The A&E show later this month is going to focus on Magnus being Magnus and CMLL cares about this show quite a bit, so they’re not going to sabotage it by changing Magnus’ character while the show is on the air.
I’m not sure this new person is Nuevo Mistico. That mask doesn’t look right – check out the ridge on top of the mask in this still. It’s not as big as the spikes on Mephisto’s head, maybe more like Drago’s scales, but it’s not what a Mistico mask should look like from that angle. Not really a Mangus mask either.
Magnus should be back on TV in the next couple weeks to help promote the show, and I think we’re going to see this person soon too, so this should all be sorted out soon.
Heroes Inmortales will cost between 219 to 299 Mexican Pesos ($15 to $21) on PPV, depending on when and how your order it. Ordering thru their web page by October 8 seems the way to go. I am not really excited by this lineup, but I would pay $15 to see it live, I think. Show is listed as starting at 5PM, but I wonder if that might be the pre-show; they’re scheduling the Monterrey Quien Por Pinta Corona contest to wrap up just at 5.
Volador and Lyger are hyping up Friday’s Leyenda de Plata final. Volador says he knows the Mexican fans will behind him and it’d be an honor to win this title. Lyger says Volador is young, agile and strong, but he’s no stepping stone.
Arkangel calls the Arena Coliseo tag team belts “dusty”, and says Fuego & Stuka are good, but the Tuareg learned to defeat the desert so the champions should be no problem.

That championship is supposed to be only for luchadoras who’ve wrestled for 10 or less years. Those rules have been ignored since Ray came to Mexico as if they were weight class. Still, Lady Apache, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sujei and La Seductora all started more than ten years ago, the first three being in major promotions in the 90s.
