Other News

This vignette aired on CMLL TV this past week and is being hyped elsewhere by the promotion. There was previous talk that Magnus would be reintroduced prior to the start of the A&E Luchador series, and that starts in three weeks. This is probably him, though it looks a little bigger than that. It’ll probably go just as well as the first time. La Catedral notes the figure actually looks a bit like Dragon Rojo Jr – hey, remember they used his silhouette for Nueva Era CMLL? I’m still waiting for that one.

SuperLuchas #433 has Dr. Wagner on the cover and shots of a half full Arena Mexico in a column inside. (Some of the coulmn is here.) The El Amigo De Siempre column mentions the next Toryumon Mexico show is 10/23 and mentions there’s a new lucha promotion coming to AYM Sports (but that’s about all he says about it, no helpful specifics.)

Black Terry Jr. posted video of Sairus/Mascara Oriental vs Peligro/Pesdailla from the XMW show.

Rob has highlights of the 09/20 CMLL C3 show.

LuchaWorld has Ras de Lona from two weeks ago and KrisZ’s lucha report.

  1. Results for the 2.xmw show

i dont know who won the first match cause i missed it but :

Low Rider won the second match.

Pesadailla y Peligro sucessfully defended their tag team belts
Sexy Lady and Dement Extrem b. Sick Boy and Shitara until other Luchadores came in and they brawled a little bit around..
complete match is on the XMW Facebook Page

Dance Boy b. Toxico,Angel o Demonio, El Dollar, Toxico, Big Memo, Fantasma de la Opera and probably some other wrestlers….but it was such a wild brawl everywhere that it was hard to follow who is in the match and who not.
So Dance Boy from Quertaro is the First KotDM from the XMW.Match was a Lightube Barbedwire, Shoppingcart, Casket, Chair and whatever they could find match… a crazy massacre. The people from Arena Aragon appreciate Lucha Extrema alot and after the main event throw a lot of money in the ring and what i never saw before gave them 20, 50 Peso Bills

i was at the show and i went to a lot of mexican backyard shows like this one but this was very strange . first of all no one knows where the “Arena” is and its not really an arena ..there are actually just 4 walls with a metal roof in the middle of a football field in one of the dirtiest and dangerous areas of Mexico City and just the people who life in the front of the Arena know about it. Show started 1. 30h later and then after the second match the lights went out for about an hour or so…
then i think some of the wrestler didnt find this place either and arrived in the middle of the show …so there where just put in the Sexy Lady and Dement Extrem Match.
The crowd are mostly friend and family members of the wrestlers and some Rudos from DTU and me so a very strange mix but the crowd was in very good mood the whole night.
After seeing the Porros so often in D.F i found my new favorite Deathmatch Luchador and it is TOXICO ..!!!
Very strange but good Show and i will probably return for the OLX Show on the 16 oct when Villiano 3 fights against El Cuchillo a local guy in a hair match…and the Perros come as well to fight against some local talent…which will be interesting.

  2. La Catedral best match order was in worst to best:

Orden de calidad de las luchas:
    6.- Preliminar
    5.- Especial
    4.- Segunda
    3.- Semifinal
    2.- Tercera
    1.- Estelar.

so, Niebla vs Atlantis was the best match of the show, and the first one wast the worst.
