Sexy Star, Tigre Cota, Yuriko vs Cinthia Moreno, Drago, Pasion Kristal: felt more like Pasion Kristal showcase than a Drago one. Kristal impressed as someone who could do flips, not so much as an exotico. They really should’ve treated Drago like he was above this – he came off as another guy.

Cuervo, La Parka Jr., Ozz vs Billy Boy, Charly Manson, Escoria: Clipped up too much to be a decent match, though I’m not sure there was one here underneath. Some good sequences but not a good string of them. They seemed to be wanting to get over Charly’s punch as a deadly move, which sure seems to be in poor taste but now is mostly irrelevant.

Chessman, Silver Kain, Último Gladiador vs Electroshock, Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario: the match was mostly the non-weapons version of the match they’ve been doing a lot of before TripleMania, a bit shorter than usual. I guess the Maniacos are easy to beat now? The Nicho storyline is a lot more tolerable as long as you don’t treat it like it’s supposed to be a ‘shoot’ – and I’ not even quite sure it’s meant to be that one. Nicho is totally sympathetic, being suspended for an arbitrary rule that only seemed to exist for one show (Taboo running in here!) and suffering a cruel punishment for it. The way everyone reacted to him, I’m thinking he’s not supposed to be the sympathetic técnico, but that’s a problem for another day.

Dr. Wagner Jr., Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Damián 666, Halloween, X-Fly: The new trios champions lost in their first match! That seems just about right. Everything looked good. Match was fine, but didn’t feel like a TV main event – there was no real storyline to it, it just happened and now we’ll never talk about it again (because the trios champions lost).
