***Festivals de las Mascaras***
1) Dinamic Black & Ray MarinAlan Extreme & Muerte Infernal
Ray Marin and Muerte Infernal were replacements for Nino Tormenta and Karibe King – those two are Fray Tormenta trainees, so probably the other two are as well.
2) Aracnido, Eterno, JackCapitán Muerte, El Hijo del Diablo, Fuego Eterno
Freelance, Segura, Cerebro Negro and Dr. Cerebro were listed in this match. 3 of those guys were over in IWL. Fuego Eterno & Aracnido look like someone’s trainees. First match here for Jack in a while.
3) Cuchillo, Kahoz, RamboCoco Rojo, El Brazo, Veneno
Brazo replaced Bobby Lee Jr. Makes sense why Veneno worked the IWL opener now – he managed to get to both shows.
4) Fray Tormenta, Pantera, Solar IBlack Terry, Negro Navarro, Scorpio Jr.
Tecnicos took 1/3. There was a bit with Pantera and the lucha commission over Pantera wearing his mask lately. Commissioner wanted him to take it off, Pantera pointed out this was the one show where he didn’t have to.
5) Canek, Konnan, Rayo de Jalisco Jr. DQ Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000
Canek was the surprise partner of Konnan and Rayo. Konnan was ‘injured’ early on, giving the rudos the advantage. Tecnicos elimianted Universo 2000, but he came back in for the DQ. Konnan returned to make the save, but actually turned on the tecnicos.

UWE (SUN) 07/03/2011 Arena Lopez Mateos [MT]
2) Chico Bonce, Mr. Potro, Super Panda b Herejia, Judas el Traidor, Leopardo Negro
3) Sadico b Rey Crystal [AULL Light]
Sadico retains the title.
4) Robin Maravilla, Rocky Santana, Yakuza b Rey Krimen, Sepulturero I, Terry 2000 [AULL TRIOS]
New champs! Mutual respect after the match.
5) Ray Mendoza Jr. & Villano IV b Atlantis & Último Guerrero [UWE TAG]
New champs! Final fall came down to Villano IV and Ultimo Guerrero, and had at least two different bits where the ref went to yell at Atlantis while Ray came into help. It worked the second time. Usual challenges after the match.

Other News

NJPW announced Hiroshi Tanahashi will be in CMLL from the very end of August until mid-September. That sounds like the CMLL anniversary show. Perhaps CMLL actually has a plan???

CMLL also says Sombra leaves for Japan on July 28th, which means he won’t be a part of that Friday’s show.

The dark match from IWL show was Mercurio XD, Jorge Quebrada, Yago over Andy Boy, Dragosht, Golden.

Rob has highlights of 04/15/11 CMLL and a special surprise.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

2011 AAA TV Schedule
Projected Air Date (#997)

Opener is almost a complete rematch of the TripleMania opener, with Laredo in for Aerostar. That could be really good.

As promised, this is the return of TNA people, with matches that playoff off TripleMania. Women’s match should playoff that finish, Abyss gets another shot at the tag champions, main event plays off the last title match. With how (relative) little time there is before the next major show, I suspect some of those will set up matches for Verano de Escandalo.

I had it wrong before – at least according to the lineups NOAH has up, he’s not needed until the following week. He should make this show fine, and Sugi (and Ronin) are back from France on the 5th.

Semimain looks like an attempt to do Psycho Circus vs Perros without it being the exact same guys.
