1) Saruman & Tritón ?? Dark Devil & Keshin Black
2) Dinamic Black, Freelance, Golden Magic b Carta Brava Jr., Imposible, Polifacético
3) Black Terry, Multifacético, Trauma II b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
Black Terry replaced Argos, and his team won in straight falls. Oficials did rip up Multifacetico’s mask along the way.
4) Bestia 666, Hijo de LA Park, Super Crazy b Máscara Año 2000 Jr., Trauma I, Veneno
Hijo de LA Park replaced Damian 666, who was busy over on the AAA TV taping. It worked out quite well for kid skeleton, as he beat Trauma I and challenged him to a Juniors title match.

Tonight’s Arena Mexico show is the first Friday night show with no tournament match and no special stipulations match since March 4th. The Forjando un Idolo tournament is officially over (though it still continues unofficially.) Averno vs La Mascara is just about over; if Monday is Averno’s last day, this would be his final Arena Mexico appearance for the time being. Both the lightning match (Rey Cometa vs Hijo del Signo) and the fourth match tecnico trio (Valiente, Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro) look fun, but this is the least important card in quite some time.

A Record interview with Atlantis carries the headline “I want to be a tecnico“, though he’s not as definite about it in the article. Atlantis says he was surpised to be on the tecnico side tonight, teaming with his Forajando un Idolo partners against Peste Negra. He alludes to more such tecnico outings in the future and vows to be professional, but he’s not decided if he actually wants to return to the tecnico side full time. His partners are apparently trying to convince him to go back. Atlantis compliments his partners, saying Delta is very popular and Maya is very skilled on the mat and always wants to learn.

Dr. X explains he really wants to take Fuego’s mask, because he’s missed out on other masks he wanted to win. He wanted Hijo del Gladiador, but Rencor Latino won that, he wanted Solar’s mask but Guerrero dle Futuro got that, and he wanted Fabian el Gitano but Angel de Oro took that from him. This is really going to be sad for Dr. X if this turns into another cage match. Fuego‘s ready for the mask match too.

REINA 07/01: I’m not sure I’m translating these right, but…
3) Aki Kanbayashi & Tomoka Nakagawa (O) beat Silueta (X) & Mika Iida
5) Hiroyo Matsumoto & Zeuxis (O) b Manami Toyota & Ray (X)

06/30 AAA TV Results (Tizayuca)

AAA TV (THU) 06/30/2011 Auditorio Municipal Tizayuca, Hidalgo [R de Rudo, WagnerMania]
1) Argenis, Atomic Boy, Fenix ?? Mortiz, Semental, Tito Santana
dark match. No finish known. AAA debuts for ex-CMLL-ers Semental & Mortiz.
2) Cinthia Moreno, Drago, Pasion Kristal b Sexy Star, Tigre Cota, Yuriko
Drago was a replacement for Sugi (France) and picked up the win on Yuriko via top rope ‘rana.
3) Dark Dragon, Decnnis, Súper Fly b Aerostar, Argos, Laredo Kid
Dark Dragon top rope styles clash on Laredo Kid for the pin, sounds super painful. Super Fly gave the Air Force a final shot to join up with the Milicia, which of course they turned down. Rudos beat them up after the match and ripped up their masks. Why didn’t Super Fly ask Dark Dragon to join?
4) Electroshock, Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario b Chessman, Silver Kain, Último Gladiador
Nicho, suspended, wrestled his match completely like normal (so plenty of weapons) and then bitterly complained about the suspension which seems to not have affected him at all. Nicho was angry AAA would treat an original member of AAA this way, after he’s given so much of his body to the company. Nicho said he was angry AAA gave his name to someone else, someone not nearly as good as him, when he left. Nicho talked about his son, and said he’d be forced to find work in another promotion if they suspended him without pay.
5) Cuervo, La Parka Jr., Ozz DQ Billy Boy, Charly Manson, Escoria
Taboo ran in for a DQ, beating his brother with a chair.
6) Dr. Wagner Jr., Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans b Damián 666, Halloween, X-Fly
Clean win for Jack (450 splash) and Tiger (superbomb) on Halloween and Damian.

As mentioned in the comments on twitter, a response on the Galavision facebook page – not the most official of statements, but we take we can get – says AAA was dropped because CMLL is HD and AAA is not and they wanted HD programming (and all lucha is the same lucha to them.) I don’t know what this means, but the permalink to the comment now doesn’t work; maybe it’s deleted, maybe it’s private and I don’t have an account, maybe I just don’t understand facebook. Anyone got a spare Google+ invite?

Way back in SuperLuchas 404 (cover date March 7), they were talking to Dorian Roldan about his AAA and CMLL working together idea. This came up (emphasis mine)

So, perhaps they will get HD cameras and Galavision will welcome them back with open arms and everyone will live happily ever after. Both CMLL & AAA being on regular TV makes it much easier for me to create gifs, and that’s the really important thing here. Until then, polite requests to Galavision via their twitter or facebook might help, might just annoy their social media people. Who can say.

52MX: Averno vs La Mascara in trios.

LATV: if they’re back on schedule (???), the Hijo del Fantasma vs Rey Bucanero NWA LH final airs. If they’re not, maybe they can show the Astro Boy match again.

TF: another show not a fan of chronological order. The show we should’ve got last week (and may get this week) has random trios, the show that follows the on they actually showed last week has Rush vs Psicosis. That sounds like a Thing.

CMLL: Averno vs La Mascara in trios.

AAA: edited highlights of TripleMania, including maybe the dark match maybe. I need to fit enough maybes there to make sure Bihari doesn’t get excited and then let down.

C3: Women’s Trios + Forjando un Idolo finals.

Mega6: swing match is a women’s trios (so no.)

Puebla: Averno vs La Mascara in trios.

Monterrey: I don’t know!

Perros: I don’t know! I will tell you that I saw terceracaida alert us that this week’s Perros del Mal show was about to air on uStream Thursday, thought I should investigate to find out what they’re on, and then totally forgot about it and did something better. Refunds are available at the front desk.

IWRG: the show that happened tonight that everyone was too busy going to the AAA taping (or going nowhere) to tell us about yet.
