Guerrero Maya Jr. ©, Hombre Bala Jr., Sensei vs Mortiz, Rayo Tapatío I ©, Rayo Tapatío II: decent, but really too short to be anything. Sensei doing comedy isn’t interesting just because I want to see comedy, but because he’s an awful flavorless wrestler for a guy doing a martial arts gimmick. Maya & Bala might be a good team. Bala’s green/black outfit is good, just hope it’s not the ‘default’ gear.
Ángel de Oro, Diamante, Rush © vs El Alebrije ©, Misterioso II, Olímpico for the Mexican National Trios Championship: no. This was a midcard comedy match that just happened to include some shiny gold things, and had a messed up nonsensical finish on top of it all. The only way this is a success is if there was a bet made that someone could put together a trio that’d get these técnicos cheered – that was a wild success, actually. Rush and company were not wildly popular, but Rush didn’t have to give any booing people dirty looks this match. I think I might have just over estimated what I’d get from these guys in a title match; I was looking for a step up, and this was mostly usual. Psicosis is not really over as a threat, but he’s at least trying every time he gets. Not so much with some of the guys here.
was the back suplex on Rush’s list?
@CM93: It was! (as backdrop)
