recap

tito may be more insane than Fenix here

Atomic Boy, Fenix, Relampago vs Dark Dragon, Tigre Cota, Tito Santana:  every single spot they could do in 11 minutes. Turns out: that’s a lot of spots. This match didn’t feel edited or anything, which makes it even more impressive. Relampago wasn’t good and there was no sense of building to bigger moves, but it was quite a show.

round barrier - crazy

Electroshock, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Chessman, Silver King, Último Gladiador: another match where they just went from the word go and it worked. Crowd was far more into Electroshock than the other two, which was a little surprising (but Electroshock’s always treated like a bigger deal so not much), and Jack looked surprisingly off in a few places, but this was still a good time.

stereo 'ranas

Damián 666, Halloween, Hijo del Lizmark, X-Fly vs Dr. Wagner Jr., Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown : I forgot to write anything in my notes for this summary, but I do remember Dr. Wagner’s mask was so awesome that it could’ve potentially been too awesome. This was the arbitrarily less hardcore version of the usual match (which means chairs, but not tables, thumbtacks or fire), and they had to get by with wrestling high spots instead of prop high spots. It worked OK. X-Fly has three different belts, can he use one of them to hold up his pants?

  1. I agree about Wagner’s mask. It was awesome. AAA should sell that mask. I know I would buy one.

  2. This was a real awesome episode. Main event was kinda cluttered (though X-Fly can still go for a man who looks chubbier every time I see him), and Halloween has looked great this year. But those first two matches were really all killer no filler, like TNA X Division matches (but actually good). I think Dark Dragon and Fenix are really underrated and work off each other really well. Extreme Tiger’s springboard rana was really spectacular and Chessman bumped it really fast. It was good to see Chessman back (I haven’t seen him much if at all this year) and he looked really good here (aside from his ending 450 looking a little shaky).
