AAA-US: It should be the first half of the Leon taping, but last week’s rerun makes it a bit uncertain. If it does it, it’ll include the Milicia turnover.

52MX: Novatos vs Vets cibernetico, Delta/Toscano/Valiente vs Felino/Misterioso/Okumura. Uncertain.

LATV: assuming another new episode, Molotov/Sensei vs Apocalipsis/Mortiz and Diamante/Fuego/Sagrado vs Hooligan/Loco/Raziel.

GDL: swing match is Blanco/Negro vs Tiger/Pmua. Also, Delta/Metro/Azteca vs Cancerberos and Porky/Toscano vs Ephesto/Mephisto. Feel free to skip the main week too.

CMLL: Televisa’s listings say this show is only 0h30m long; they haven’t been accurate lately. They taped commentary for the Fojando un Idolo matches, so probably top 4 here.

AAA: Wednesday’s night taping, including the debut of Drago.

CMLL-FOX: best guess is the two Forjando matches (definitely taped for this show) and maybe the main event.

C3: Two Forjando matches, plus Pesta Negro vs Blue Panther/Super Porky/Man of 16 Moves

CMLL-Mega6: Swing match should’ve been Angel de Oro, Dragon Lee, Magnus vs Arkangel, Skandalo, and Rafaga, but results from here have dried up.

Puebla: Sombra/Dorada/Strong Man vs Alebrije/Goto/Psicosis.

ACM: Diluvio Negro vs Estrella Dorada in a hair match, maybe

IWRG: Sunday’s show becase there was no Thursday one? Or a rerun?

Mexico preview, Samurai del Sol

No IWRG show after all. There are holidays that annually slip my mind, this is one of them.

Tonight’s Arena Mexico show is headlined by a rematch of last week’s main event, Guerreros vs Goto, Volador, Garza. The focus has been on Ultimo Guerrero vs Hirooki Goto, and we’d expect something to be set for that next week. In Forjando un Idolo, Rey Cometa and Escorpion battle to avoid elimination, and Palacio Negro and Angel de Oro wrestle for control of their group.

Samurai del Sol updates his health status: he never lost consciousness, X-Rays came out okay, but he’s going to be in a neck brace for a month to be on the safe side. He hopes to be back in DTU for their lucha libre expo show. There’s video of the injury on YouTube (that account has a lot of clips from the show), and I think he just flew a lot farther than they were expecting.

Puma King has a plan to advance yet: he needs to beat Hijo del Signo and get people to vote for him to get a bonus point. He’d also need Diamante to beat Hombre Bala, but that would put him in second. He needs some friends to vote for him first, though.

recap: here

why Strong Man should not jump off the buckles

Metro, Stuka Jr., Valiente vs Misterioso Jr., Pólvora, Shigeo Okumura: Usual match with these sides, right down to Stuka once again jumping to the top rope, right in position for Misterioso’s finish. It’s about time for something different than that.

La Sombra, Rush, Strong Man vs Atlantis, Hirooki Goto, Negro Casas: Brave Hirooki Goto deciding he was going to stand up to that bully Rush (or, alternatively, Rush finding someone who can hit him harder) was interesting, but otherwise this was mostly a Strong Man man match.

Escorpion & Último Guerrero vs Máscara Dorada & Metal Blanco in the CMLL Gran Alternativa Tournament final: Technically spectacular but lacking when it comes to story? The rudos took a lot of moves, kept kicking out, and then just decided they were going to hit their moves and win. And they did! There usually should be something that happens in between. It was also a lot of guys doing individual moves (or plugging guys into the usual spots), and no sense that these two teams had been working or training together, which is sort of the idea.
