Niebla returns, Super Porky down, Sombra a wanted man?, lineups

CMLL

CMLL (FRI) 03/04/2011 Arena Mexico [SuperLuchasMTCMLLCesarRecord]
1) Camaleón & Tigre BlancoApocalipsis & Inquisidor
2) Fabián el Gitano, Sensei, StarmanArkángel de la Muerte, Mortiz, Puma King
3) Goya Kong, Lluvia, MarcelaAmapola, La Comandante, Princesa Blanca
4) Misterioso Jr.Ángel de Oro [lightning]
Upset! Mistersioso used the ropes to stay on top for a pin at 7:43. Angel de Oro protested vociferously after the match.
5) Máximo, Super Porky, Valiente DQ Héctor Garza, Terrible, Texano
Straight fall win. Porky did a plancha off the stage to start the match. He later fainted during the match, and was checked by the doctors the rest of the time. Twitter thought Porky had a heart episode, but nothing’s mentioned about it in their recap. Valiente beat captain Garza in the first, and Texano fouled Maximo in the second.
6) Averno, Mr. Niebla, Negro CasasLa Sombra, Máscara Dorada, Rush
Niebla snuck in a foul on Sombra in the the third for the win in his return match. Averno took both Dorada & Sombra’s masks after the match.

Brazo de Plata having a fainting spell is a strange way to build up a hair match. Also strange is Super Porky and Satanico continuing to go back and forth about their own hair match. Porky says he also wants to retire Satanico, so Satanico hopes they do that match and go to a draw.

Sombra talked about Generacion de Oro attempting their seventh defense of the Trios titles this Sunday. Gifnally giving in on the name change.

A man in Cuernavaca claims La Sombra broke his nose and busted his lip two years ago, and the government has refused to do anything about it. Fernando Saldivar Zavala says it happened at the old Arena Isabel, the government has been giving him the run around since, and Sombra has avoided returning to Cuernavaca to stay out of the case. There’s no details about what led to the attack (if the attack happened.) I have no record of that show (which doesn’t mean much) or any result of Sombra being back in Cuernavaca since that date, but CMLL hasn’t run there much since Arena Isabel was shut down.

Ras de Lona included Demus laying out his plans for the Cancerberos, once he takes over. He figured that a trios is the best way to go, so he’s keeping Raziel and Polvora, but Euforia and Cancerbero may be let go. Poor Cancerbro, getting kicked out of the group with his own name! There were also interviews with everyone in every match at Dos Leyendas, except for Brazo de Plata & Maximo. That’s an odd duo to miss. Peste Negra were having a good time. Texano remembers he already beat Maximo for his hair once.

Today is the first day of the FMLL shows in Guadalajara. CMLL runs their show tonight, with the Oro II vs Fantasma de la Opera mask match. The undercard has a Traumas vs Puma/Tiger tag match and Guerreros vs Peste Negra in the main event.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

03/04 AAA TV Results (Puebla)

AAA TV (FRI) 03/04/2011 Gimnasio Miguel Hidalgo de Puebla [AAAMi Lucha Libre (4)Record]
1) Fenix, Lolita, Mari ApacheBilly Boy, Jennifer Blake, Sexy Star
Fenix was the mystery luchador, Lolita continues to fill in for Fabi Apache. Mari Apache sentoned Sexy Star for the win. Tirantes attacked Mari after the match, then was ready for Apache when he ran in and bloodied the older man. Tirantes accepted a match with Apache, which should take place at Rey de Reyes (and probably won’t be a singles match.)
2) Charly Manson, Escoria, NygmaEspíritu, Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario
Charly threw powder in Joe Lider’s face, leading to the Bizarro win. Bizarros beat up Joe Lider & Nicho after the match, but Escoria would not let his partners attack Espiritu. While that was being sorted out, Zorro attacked Charly.
3) ElectroshockHeavy Metal [vale todo]
Maniacos interference – still apparently unwelcome by Metal – backfired this time, giving Electroshock the win. The Maniacos brought out a bottle for Metal to use on Electro. He refused, but Electro stole and hit Metal himself. This great Hombre Contra Hombre five match series has now had every match so far end by someone else getting involved. Electroshock leads 2-1.
4) Carlito Caribbean CoolJack EvansDecnnisOzz [Rey de Reyes, semifinal]
Crowd was way behind Carlito. Carlito pinned Ozz after a swinging neckbreaker, Jack got Decnnis with a bridging pin, Carlito got Jack with the backcracker. After the match, Konnan offered Jennifer and Sexi to Carlito to get him to join La Sociedad. Carlito agreed, saying all Mexican women are ugly (having no idea who Sexi is, I guess), that Mexico is a horrible place, and he’ll be on the first plane to leave after winning Rey de Reyes. Carlito specifically wants to take out Mesias, but had issues with LA Park later.
5) Cuervo, El Mesías, Extreme TigerLA Park, Silver King, Último Gladiador
Carlito tried to interfere, only for everyone in La Sociedad and AAA to counter-interfere. Post match included a confrontation between the four Rey de Reyes finalists.

2011 TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#980)
Mexico: 03/13
US: 03/26

Periodico Digital reports rent for the show was 20,000 pesos ($1667 US) and AAA responsible for paying for any damage to the building after the floors were damaged last time they were there.

Mini Chessman and Mascarita de la Muerte support Dorian Roldan’s idea of AAA and CMLL working together. Not sure either of those two guys would actually make a combined show.
