Atlantis win title, CMLL in NJPW

CMLL (SUN) 12/12 Arena Solidaridad [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Golden Boy & Potro Jr. b Difunto I & Tigre Universitario
2) Hijo del Fantasma & Rey Hechicero b Ephesto & Misterioso II
3) Sangre Azteca & Virus b Diamante & Máscara Púrpura
4) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Último Guerrero b Máximo & Sagrado
5) Atlantis DQ Héctor Garza, Blue Panther [AZTECA CHAMP]

Card was changed a lot from the original lineup. Of note, Panther was said to be replacing an injured Mascara Dorada, which seems to be the first time someone associated with CMLL acknowledged Dorada is actually missing shows due to his (ankle) injury. (Despite that, Dorada & Dragon are booked for ACM this Sunday.)

Garza pinned Panther, and started to put the belt back on, but it was an elimination match. The ref went down, Garza pulled Atlantis mask and covered, ref counted the tree, then called it a DQ win for Atlantis. There was a moment of applause for Hijo de Cien Caras here too.

CMLL (MON) 12/13 Arena Puebla [Cinco Radio]
5) La Máscara, Shocker, Strong Man b Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero

Shocker got UG with the reinera in the third for the win. There’s clearly going to be a CMLL Heavyweight title defense here on 12/20 or 12/27. In the article, Shocker talks about relaunching Los Guapos in 2011, which might have been the fifth or sixth consecutive year for that idea.

Ultimo Guerrero, Dragon Rojo and Stuka are listed as main eventing a show back in La Laguna on Christmas. Except, Dragon Rojo probably is not, since he’s got the Copa Jr. final on that day.

CMLL in NJPW:
01/04 Tokyo Dome matches:
Jushin Liger & Hector Garza vs Mascara Dorada & La Sombra
STRONG MAN & Naknishi vs Beer Money vs Karl Anderson & Giant Bernard [IWGP TAG]
I’d pay money to see Jushin Liger do the Koslov stop sign spot.

On CadenaTres, Mephisto said CMLL was working on a video game project. We’ll see.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 12/17 Arena Neza
1) Camaleón & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Apolo Estrada Jr. & Durango Kid
2) Sensei & Starman vs Artillero & Súper Comando
3) Coco Blanco, Cocolores, Neza Kid vs Hermano Muerte III, Puma King, Tiger Kid
4) Metro & Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso II & Sangre Azteca
5) La Máscara, Máximo, Rotoporky vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano
6) Latin Lover & Shocker vs Héctor Garza & Mr. Águila

Notable only because the cage match/mask match hyped here isn’t happening, unless they break pattern and run an extra show on Christmas (which could still be possible.)
