Zorro is focused

Aerostar, Gato Eveready, Relampago vs Cerebro Negro, Chico Che, Dr. Cerebro
: under seven minutes but an easily good match for that time. Crowd was way into Chico Che. Not sure it’s relaly helping IWRG for their guys to show up to lose quickly in openers on AAA TV tapings, but it got me this match so I’m fine.

Espíritu, Extreme Tiger, Jack Evans vs Billy Boy, Decnnis, Tigre Cota: This was also pretty fun. There was a download version of the show missing the first third of the show, and everything you really want to see was in the first third.

Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Último Gladiador: slightly better than usual typical Psycho Circus match.

Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario vs El Ilegal & Hernandez: so the way to get Ilegal & Hernandez over as a threat is to have them lose multiple times to 187, I see. It got Konnan over for changing the rules, so that’s great.

Dr. Wagner Jr. & El Mesías vs Chessman & Zorro: Didn’t really get into it, but at least set up the main event in a sensible way.

12/11-12 lucha videos

I haven’t watched anything.

Trying Multiupload:

ECLL repeated the same episode they repeated last week. LATV & ACM were also reruns.

From Japan

Both the Japanese matches are from other sources – thanks for their help! They’re small WMV files.

RadioFormula’s website isn’t up, so I’ve put up both the version that aired (33 min) and the version from the website (47 min.)

En El Ring doesn’t have anything up.

Atlantis win title, CMLL in NJPW

CMLL (SUN) 12/12 Arena Solidaridad [Estrellas del Ring]
1) Golden Boy & Potro Jr. b Difunto I & Tigre Universitario
2) Hijo del Fantasma & Rey Hechicero b Ephesto & Misterioso II
3) Sangre Azteca & Virus b Diamante & Máscara Púrpura
4) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Último Guerrero b Máximo & Sagrado
5) Atlantis DQ Héctor Garza, Blue Panther [AZTECA CHAMP]

Card was changed a lot from the original lineup. Of note, Panther was said to be replacing an injured Mascara Dorada, which seems to be the first time someone associated with CMLL acknowledged Dorada is actually missing shows due to his (ankle) injury. (Despite that, Dorada & Dragon are booked for ACM this Sunday.)

Garza pinned Panther, and started to put the belt back on, but it was an elimination match. The ref went down, Garza pulled Atlantis mask and covered, ref counted the tree, then called it a DQ win for Atlantis. There was a moment of applause for Hijo de Cien Caras here too.

CMLL (MON) 12/13 Arena Puebla [Cinco Radio]
5) La Máscara, Shocker, Strong Man b Atlantis, Dragón Rojo Jr., Último Guerrero

Shocker got UG with the reinera in the third for the win. There’s clearly going to be a CMLL Heavyweight title defense here on 12/20 or 12/27. In the article, Shocker talks about relaunching Los Guapos in 2011, which might have been the fifth or sixth consecutive year for that idea.

Ultimo Guerrero, Dragon Rojo and Stuka are listed as main eventing a show back in La Laguna on Christmas. Except, Dragon Rojo probably is not, since he’s got the Copa Jr. final on that day.

CMLL in NJPW:
01/04 Tokyo Dome matches:
Jushin Liger & Hector Garza vs Mascara Dorada & La Sombra
STRONG MAN & Naknishi vs Beer Money vs Karl Anderson & Giant Bernard [IWGP TAG]
I’d pay money to see Jushin Liger do the Koslov stop sign spot.

On CadenaTres, Mephisto said CMLL was working on a video game project. We’ll see.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lineups

CMLL (FRI) 12/17 Arena Neza

2) Sensei & Starman vs Artillero & Súper Comando
3) Coco Blanco, Cocolores, Neza Kid vs Hermano Muerte III, Puma King, Tiger Kid
4) Metro & Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso II & Sangre Azteca
5) La Máscara, Máximo, Rotoporky vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Texano

Notable only because the cage match/mask match hyped here isn’t happening, unless they break pattern and run an extra show on Christmas (which could still be possible.)

12/12 Lucha Libre USA Results

MW (SUN) 12/12 Hard Rock Casino, Albuquerque, New Mexico [PWTorch]
1) Rellik & Sydistiko b Oriental & Tinieblas Jr.
2) Mini Park b Rosetta Park [lumberjack]
3) Lizmark Jr. b Marco Corleone, RJ Brewer, Charly Malice [MW HEAVY]
4) Magno & Rocky Romero b Rellik & Sydistiko
5) Mascarita Dorada & Octagoncito b Pequeño Halloween & Tigresa Caliente
6) Petey Williams b Súper Nova
7) Blue Demon Jr. b Tatanka

And they’re back.

1-2-3 were taped for the second season premiere, said here to be some time in January, probably mid-late January since they’re not taping again until 01/22. 4-5-6 were the second week, and Demon/Tatanka was a dark match.

There was a 10 bell salute for Solid before the show.

Sydistiko (whoever that might be at the moment!) used a shooting star press to win the opener.

Rosetta Park is a female version of LA Park, facing a mini version of LA Park, in a match with women and minis around the ring. Maybe this will make sense on TV?

The not-TV shows included singles matches which seemed to be the end of the Lucha Libre USA Heavyweight Tournament, but they walked it back for TV and did a four way final instead. Charlie Malice did not jump from this promotion, but there’s always time. Treachery (Rellik & Sydistiko, w/Lizmark) interfered, a man in a light blue mask countered them, but then turned on Charly with a Canadian Destroyer. Blue Mask unmasked himself as Petey Williams, who’d appeared on the non-TV shows. Brewer was eliminated next, and the rudos threw dust in Marco’s face to set up a Lizmark superkick for the win and the title. That ends the first show.

During the second show, Lizmark had a painter at ringside for a portrait. Marco dumped yellow paint over in the end. Hooray?

Rellik & Sydistiko challenged any team to face it, got beat by a new team. No sign of the tag team tournament on this show.

Pequeno Halloween! He probably could’ve used another partner. No sign of the marriage, hope all is well. A woman ran out and attacked Tigresa, leading to the win.

Petey Williams was introduced as from Glendale, Arizona and a partner of RJ Brewer, and they’re called “The Right”. No mention of RJ’s girlfriend. Rudos yanked Super Nova’s mask after the match. Magno made the save, and challenged Brewer to a mask vs hair match for ‘next week’.

Demon vs Tatanka occurred.
