AAA on Televisa #963 (11/06/2010)

taped Polideportivo La Huizachera, Tehuacan, Puebla, 10/18/2010

using your head

Cinthia Moreno & Esther Moreno vs Alissa Flash & Kitzune Nanoko: AAA throwing people on TV with no introduction or explanation never gets old. Of the four women in the match, Kitzune was the most entertaining to me, which really is not at all what I expected it to turn out. I’m surprised the foreigners won, especially the one that didn’t seem like they were coming back, but I’m trying to make sense of nonsense.

Laredo Kid & Súper Fly vs Decnnis & Tigre Cota: Super Fly is the world’s worst actor, but maybe that was supposed to be the point? Super Fly never did the reveal of the injury being a ruse all along, so it sort of comes off on it’s own as a strange injury angle and not the subtle start of a turn. There was definitely nothing subtle here, including the shot of Cibernetico walking into the building to put this match in it’s correct context. Decnnis & Tigre Cota are fully taking advantage of the opportunity to do wacky bits on TV. That’s the way to go.

Cuervo, Espíritu, Ozz vs Damián 666, Halloween, Super Crazy: Secta came off as important people here, which is pleasantly surprising. This wasn’t the Perros stumbling backwards into a win, but Ozz just being better than Super Crazy on the night. The big difference between rudo Secta and tecnico Secta is the tecnico version wears shirts.

Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario vs Alan Stone & Chris Stone: Still waiting on the Stones being interesting as a rudo. This was a normal 187 match with the Stones getting a win to set up, uh, probably nothing more than the finish of the match. At some point they’re all start having angles going some place.

El Mesías, La Parka Jr., Octagón vs Hernandez, LA Park, Zorro: Different mask for the skull guy on this show than the last, and he’ll have another one on the next show. That’s one of those things you need to figure out in advance. Also good to figure out: why we should still care about him. Octagon was selling a lot during this match, but he doesn’t seem particularly concerned about his attacker and Skull Mask is suddenly more concerned with La Parka.

11/15 AAA Lucha Libre Premier (episodes 3/4)

AAA LLP (MON) 11/15 Six Flags Mexico
1) Mascarita Sagrada, Mini Charly Manson, Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Chessman, Mini Histeria
2) Cinthia Moreno, Fabi Apache, Mari Apache vs Jennifer Blake, Oyuki, Sexy Star
3) Cibernético & Hernandez vs El Mesías & Electroshock [Campeonato Premier, quarterfinal]
4) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Zorro vs Chessman & Jack Evans [Campeonato Premier, quarterfinal]

2010 AAA TV Chart
Projected Air Date (#3, #4)
Mexico: 11/20, 11/27

On to the second round, which may mean they’re done after 3 shows/6 episodes. Or they’ve got something entirely different planned for December? I’m picking Dr. Wagner/Zorro vs Cibernetico/Hernandez as the final tag match.

Jennifer Blake is back on all sorts of different shows except the main AAA TV show.

Puebla, Guadalajara, CMLL > Nosawa

CMLL (MON) 11/08 Arena Puebla [Luchas2000, Fuego en el Ring]
3) Misterioso II, Pólvora, Sangre Azteca b Metro, Stuka Jr., Valiente
4) Hijo del Fantasma, Shocker, Toscano ?? Felino, Taichi, Volador Jr.
5) Místico b Rey Bucanero

Doesn’t seem like CMLL will post full results this week. Luchas 2000 teaser of it’s recap says Mistico won the main event in the usual manner, while Fuego mentions Sangre Azteca & Co. continue winning to set up their title match. No idea on the other matches.

CMLL (TUE) 11/09 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Templario b Thunder Boy
2) Hierro & Magnum b Drago & León Blanco
3) Metal Blanco & Palacio Negro b Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
4) Demus 3:16, Escorpion, Semental b Delta, Diamante, Gallo
5) La Máscara, Místico, Sagrado b Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila, Taichi

Semental and Gallo seem to be feuding. That’s a step down (or five) from Felino.

Drago & Leon Blanco seemed to have problems in their match.

NJPW

CMLL in NJPW
11/11: [Super J Block A] Sombra & Mascara Dorada b Nosawa & Fujita [Dorada tornillo Nosawa].
Sombra & Dorada move up to 4 points (2-1) and take the lead.

Sombra & Dorada have a day off from tournament action tomorrow. When it picks up on Saturday, they can make the final with a win over Prince Devitt & Taguchi. It’s a tougher road for the other teams: Richards/Romero, and Nosawa/Fujita all need 2 wins plus someone else to lose (the ROH team for Devitt/Taguchi, the CMLL team for the other two) to make the final. Liger/Samurai appear to be eliminated unless there’s widespread draws in the next couple of days.

CMLL has spontaneously decided to name this team Generación Dorada, by the way.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Ras de Lona and KrisZ’s news update.

Lineups

indy (SUN) 11/14 Modesto Livestock Auction & Flea Market
1) Dr. Maldad & Octagoncito vs Mascarita Dorada & Shamu Jr.
2) Oliver John vs Konnan

Random show with an amusing inaccurate poster. Christina Von Eerie  is on the show, though probably not CMLL Women’s Champion by Sunday. Odd for Dorada to be on the same show as Konnan.

CMLL (TUE) 11/16 Arena Mexico
1) Bengala & Freesbe vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Dalys la Caribeña, Lluvia, Luna Mágica vs Amapola, Princesa Sujei, Seuxis
3) Ángel de Oro, Delta, Fuego vs Cancerbero, Loco Max, Raziel
4) Shocker, Toscano, Valiente vs Mephisto, Texano, Vangelis
5) Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Místico vs Atlantis, Felino, Último Guerrero

That’d probably be Mephisto’s return. Fuego vs the Cancerberos, check.

CMLL (TUE) 11/16 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Javier Cruz Jr. vs Quca
2) Idolo & Metatrón vs Ángel del Mal & In Memoriam
3) Gallo & Neutrón vs Evola & Exterminador
4) Mascarita Dorada, Meteoro, Shockercito vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior
5) Máscara Dorada, Máximo, Sagrado vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Héctor Garza, Taichi

Two Doradas. What does it mean? (They really need to do a Dorada/Maximo/Shocker team as minis and normals on the same show.)

11/13-14 Lucha Times

box

AAA-US: Most time seems to go to Chessman/Hernandez/Zorro vs Cuervo/Parka/Ozz, though the handcuff match with 187 and Maniacos seemed to go the longest. Militia (now with Tito) take on Argenis/Crazy/Gato in a sure sign they were running another show this night.

CMLL 52MX: Women’s Trios, and things go poorly for Mephisto.

CMLL LATV: yea, right.

CMLL TF: Appears to be on at 4pm Eastern on Sunday, but watch it change again. Matches are Angels/Fabian vs Pandilla Yoghurt + Panther/Fantamsa/Dorada vs Averno/Mephisto/Okumura.

———

CMLL: currently listed as 90 minutes. We’ll see. Enough time for the lightning match, Invasors vs Peste Negra (the return!) and more Dragon Rojo vs Mistico.

AAA: Do not miss the exciting debut of El Illegal. Also, Tiger & Jack return from Japan to team with Aerostar vs the Militia and the minis may make TV.

AAA Fox: Cibernetico/Hernandez vs Parka/Psycho + Mesias/Electroshock vs Tiger/LA Park.

CMLL Fox: Cancerberos vs Angels/Fabian, Porky/Maximo/Shocker vs Hector/Negro/Volador.

CMLL C3: Atlantis vs the Invasors. Rush vs Polvora in a bodybuilding contest preview.

CMLL TVCD: Puebla still off? Probably.

ACM: They’ve been airing the semimain lately, and Silenco/Simbolo vs Demonio/Veneno is the semimain here.

PdM: Reruns? Off?

IWRG: Psycho Circus + Pirata vs Dinamitas.

———-

CMLL TFN: No Limit/Okumura vs Terrible/Texano/Vangelis + Mistico/Shocker/Strong Man vs Averno/Felino/Negro
