new tag champs, Terrible/Texano eliminated,

new tag champs/CMLL

CMLL (TUE) 11/02 Arena Coliseo [ESTO, SuperLuchas, Cesar]
1) Disturbio & Durango Kid b Molotov & Tijuana Joe
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo b Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Plata, Rey Cometa
3) Delta, Diamante, Fuego DQ Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
4) Blue Panther, Hijo del Fantasma, Rotoporky b Negro Casas, Shigeo Okumura, Taichi
5) Dragón Rojo Jr. & Último Guerrero b Héctor Garza & Mr. Águila [CMLL TAG]

New champions! Dragon Rojo replaced Atlantis, still hurt from Super Porky’s senton on Sunday. (Hmmm.) Also, despite the champions accepting this match under the condition Tirantes Sr. would be the ref, Rafael el Maya was the official instead. notes Garza protested both of these things, to no avail.

Fans were behind the Guerreoros. Challengers took the first fall, champions took the second fall. Third fall was even until Garza accidently kicked Aguila in the head when aiming for Dragon Rojo. Guerreros immediately got the pin and the titles. After the match, Ultimo Guerrero taunted Hector Garza: Hector got five shots at UG’s title but couldn’t win, and UG beat Hector in his first chance.

The Invasors are done. I mean, they’re not going anywhere physically, but they’re not going anywhere economically either.

Virus fouled Fuego and may have pulled his mask. All of the Cancerbros seems to have issues with Fuego. It’s  fire thing.

Pegasso is still out, Angel de Plata replaced him.Tijuana Joe filled in for Starman in the opener.

CMLL in NJPW: 11/03
Nakanishi, Giant Bernard, Karl Anderson, Strong Man b Yuji Nagata, Hirooki Goto, Wataru Inouse, Jushin Liger [Nakanishi b Liger]
G1 Block B: Tanahashi & Taijri b Terrible & Texano Jr. [Tajiri pin after Tanahashi High Fly Fly on Texano]

Loss drops Texano & Terrible to 2-3, so they’re not going to make the semifinals. The tour is off for 3 days, but resumes with a Nakanishi/Strong Man vs Tanaka/Ishii tournament match with the winner gets in.

LuchaWorld has Alfredo on PWE’s 10/23/10 show.

Robert reviews 10/16 CMLL C3.

As part of Project 33, Nikita reviews the cibernetico from this past week’s CMLL FOX.

  1. Thanks for the link Cubs.
For anyone that cares, “Project 33” is me watching a wrestling match everyday for the 365 days that I will be 33, and writing about it from my perspective as a 12yr veteran of the independent circuit. Much lucha to be viewed…

  2. @Rob – I actually kinda wanna show people that there is a lot more to watch out there than the current WWE/TNA product that just rots the brain. But if something intrigues me, I’ll give it a shot….
