Copa Bicentenario, Misterioso angry with Dragon Rojo

CMLL (TUE) 10/19 Arena Aficion [Estrellas del Ring]
2) Antar & Zairus DQ Mascara Oriental & Nino de Fuego
3) Arkángel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skándalo b Brazo de Platino, Brazo de Platino Jr., Robin
4) Brazo de Plata & Máximo b Terrible & Texano Jr.
5) Volador Jr. b La Máscara [Copa Bicentenario]

I was wrong – they actually brought the tiny little cup and put it on the line in this match. Mascara took the first, Volador took the second, Volador escaped a campana attempt and dropped Mascara with a backcracker in the third.

Terrible & Texano lose to the Brazos in their last match before heading to Japan.

Misterioso says the people liked Poder Mexica, but he, Sangre and Dragon Rojo “did not agree on many things.” Still, the way Misterioso found out Dragon Rojo had left the group is by reading about it. Misterioso is angry about not getting a thanks or a heads up, and feels this is all part of Ultimo Guerrero’s plan of never giving him a CMLL Heavyweight Title match (like he just did with La Mascara) by putting Dragon Rojo in his way. Misterioso still wants the title match and also wants a mask match with Dragon Rojo.

CMLL moved Sunday’s show from Arena Coliseo to Arena Mexico.

Blue Panther says it’s up to Averno, Mephisto, Ephesto, Misterioso and others to carry on the classic struggle, because “they have capabilities I no longer have.”

Dorian Roldan asked his twitter followers if they want to see the big AAA shows on PPV. I’d say yes, but then they’d sell a $30 product for $60 and it’ll just get bad reviews.

El Economista has a short article about AAA. The article mentions El Hijo del Santo and Hijo del Santo as current stars, so research wasn’t the highest priority. It also suggests they will sell a million copies of the video game. They will not sell a million copies.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Tabu, Cibernetico, Escoria/Black Terry Jr.

Alissa picked up the win in the opener.

Segunda did end up as a trios, with Tito Santana being brought in to the Militia and Argenis getting onto the show. Cota got Gato with a sharpshooter.

Tercera had unannounced rules. Nicho & Silver were handcuffed to the ring, with Joe & UG battling to the key. Silver was freed first and Konnan helped the rudos work over Lider. Lider got enough of a comeback to free Nicho, and picked up the win with chair assisted facebreaker.

Konnan helped the rudos again in the fourth match, and Zorro pinned Cuervo with a cane shot to the face. Rudos beat down the tecnicos after the match, with 187 making the save.

Sounds like Octagon & Cibernetico didn’t get along during or after the main event. Octagon was pinned by Halloween after the Motorcycle Rider (with a new mask) appeared and distracted Octagon. Maybe it’s Pentagon? Cibernetico reiterated his anger with Octagon after the match, despite Mesias trying to make peace. Cibernetico also introduced his newest Bizarro – Escoria, who had a new look. Escoria is out of the Black Family, though we didn’t get their reaction to this on this show.

Next taping is Halloween.

box

AAA-US: first part of Heroes Inmortales; mixed tag (good Alex show), Copa Antonio Pena (up and down) and Mesias/Perro (can’t remember if I watched the whole thing.)

52MX: Arena Coliseo Tag Team Finals.

LATV: a new episode? NAH.

GDL: La Sombra vs Mr. Aguila, which got good reviews from Fuego en el Ring (who may be slightly biased.) If Sombra has a better match with Mr. Aguila than Volador had with La Mascara, does that make Sombra really really good?

———–

CMLL: Invasors vs Trios champs rematch, plus Invasors/Marcela vs Women’s Champs rematch.

AAA-MEX: taping from this past Monday, with Mesias/Parka/Octagon vs Hernandez/Park/Zorro.

CMLL-FOX: Blanca vs Luna, CMLL Trios

C3: Top 4 from last night, plus Guerrero vs Garza/Aguila/Taichi

Puebla: Ultimo Guerrero vs La Mascara

ACM: ????. Wonder if the DTU show will eventually air here?

PDM: ????

IWRG: Seems to have changed back to Thursday shows, which would be a better call this week. Relevos AAA, more of the Trauma I vs Ultimo Gladiador feud and Cerebro Terribles vs Fireman

CMLL-TFN: Valiente vs Dragon Rojo in a title match – no spoilers. Maybe they’ll show that five times too.
