CMLL on LATV #15 (07/31/2010)

taped Arena Mexico, 06/06/2010

Stuka Jr.

Bam Bam & Shockercito vs Demus 3:16 & Pierrothito: This was going good until Shockercito’s monkey flip headscissors to the floor went so bad, and it’s hard to think of the match besides it. I went back and forth about using Shockercito’s spot as the accompanying picture, and ultimately decided I didn’t want to see it on this page for a week. It’s ugly, seemed more ugly stuff gone bad, and I can’t believe he worked five days later in Torreon. (No, really, I can’t believe it, newspaper must’ve been wrong.)

Metro, Rush, Stuka Jr. vs Histeria, Maniaco, Monsther: and now we know why Maniaco and Chucky haven’t been around much. Maniaco & Rush went completely off the rails for a while, and Rush clearly thought it was all Maniaco’s fault and needed to get some revenge after the match was actually over. (Seems to be a pattern with him.) Chucky seemed either to not be able to see well or was afraid to actually hit/be hit. Monsther II – it’s definitely a new one, there’s no doubt – is lucky not to join them with his own misaimed performance.

  1. As I told you in e-mail (or twitter?) – video always clears things up. The cmllmagazine updates and live recaps made it sound like Demus caught Shockercito and power bombed him on the floor, then took care of Bam Bam. Made sense. Name change followed by putting him over big time. But the video clearly shows they fucked up that spot and Shockercito was hurt big time so Demus called an audible and did a rushed finish with Bam Bam that really didn’t come off well. Shockercito has a laundry list of scary incidents, huh? This, the tope suicida onto his head and being launched over the ringpost by accident (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM7Dkv53z4Q). The guy is unbreakable.

I felt bad for Maniaco in the main event. As usual Rush got crossed up on spots and then he got rough with Maniaco. But Maniaco couldn’t really fight back b/c that would have cost him his CMLL job so he had to take the abuse post-match. And this was coming off the previous week where he looked great.

Not only is there a new Monster (verified by the double springboard he does to end the second fall) but that’s not the Chucky we know from AAA. Too tall/built better/doesn’t walk like a dwarf.
