06/06 Arena Mexico Sin Salida Lineup (CMLL vs Indepedents)

Wireless must’ve gone down or something, because both @CMLL_Oficial & and @CMLLMagazine stopped posting for a while. Maybe the main event just knocked them out? They’re back now, and have a full lineup.

CMLL (SUN) 06/06 Arena Mexico
1) Bam Bam & Shockercito vs Pequeño Damian 666 & Pierrothito
2) Metro, Rush, Stuka Jr. vs Histeria, Maniaco, Monsther
3) Hijo del Fantasma, La Máscara, Shocker vs El Alebrije, Olímpico, Psicosis
4) Máscara Dorada, Místico, Mr. Águila vs Averno, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. [Relevos Increíbles]
5) Brazo de Plata, Rayo de Jalisco Jr., Strong Man vs Giant Benard, Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000

They’re using the Sin Salida (No Exit) name for this show.

Very suspicious that Hector Garza is not listed on this show. He was introduced as a member of the Indepedentes earlier today, friends again with Mr. Aguila. The heavyweight trios match of doom was announced as the main event, but it would not be a surprise for a Hector Garza vs ??? (Sombra? Ultimo Guerrero?) singles match to be added on top.  I’m going to hold off on celebrating 52MX getting the better matches for the moment.

No new Indepedents members announced with this card, besides Tirantes Sr. working as a referee. I’d presume this means Perros del Mal need a new referee. Update: Estrellas del Ring has photos of Tirantes hiding under a Pandita mask for the first part of the press conference.

This is not an overwhelming card to go up against TripleMania. The people who are thrilled to see the Dinamitas vs Rayo de Jalisco are not the people who’d be going to see 2010 AAA, and I’m not sure that anyone who was hyped for LA Park vs La Parka Jr. will change their mind for this. The person who just want to go see lucha probably ends up going to the TripleMania show, because that still seems much more meaningful. That can change if another match is added.

Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and Mr. Aguila is a dream team, and a welcoming indication that Tuesday’s Super Sky Team reunion is designed to fail. There’s no better time for Volador to test out a rudo twist then when he’s teaming with Averno & Negro Casas.

That opener needs to turn up somewhere. Put it up on YouTube, CMLL!

In news not related to this show, but expected, Jushin Liger will be returning to CMLL sometime soon to defend the CMLL World Middleweight Championship. The Best of Super Juniors tournaments concludes on 06/13 and the next set of shows (preceding the next tour) doesn’t start until 06/28. There’s a taping in between that Liger would miss, but that time span makes the most sense.

  1. I guess it’s my job to bitch about every major and minor booking problem but I won’t rant yet. Maybe in my blog another time. Right now I just have one comment and one question:

    1. This card won’t effect Triplemania at all. In fact the main event only provides ammo for AAA to make CMLL look bad in the press. (talking about how behind the times they are)

    2. Is there anyone who thinks it’s good idea to already have a match where an invader is teaming with CMLL guys? Even though it’s Relevos Incriebles… who’s the invader on the other side? Doesn’t it seem like we missed a few steps in the angle here?

  2. The opener and semi-main are better than anything AAA has to offer on Triplemania.

The only thing that has my interest in Triplemania is the Parkas match and I think that match will be mostly really good because of the crowd heat and not so much due to the Parkas.

Maybe they can somehow combine the good stuff from both shows.

  3. I’m kinda surprised at no Mascarita Dorada. I hope CMLL does a Bam Bam/Mascarita vs Damiencito/???(Maybe Tzuki to drop his mask) feud.

  4. The semi final is a dream match with out a doubt; Infact I expect it to be the match of the night, for both the AAA & CMLL shows. “Metro, Rush, Stuka Jr. vs Histeria, Maniaco, Monsther” Why Rush? Is Valiente or possibly Flash double booked?

  5. @Tim: I think he’s working the MTV2 tapings that weekend. I could be wrong, but I recall seeing that listed around that date.

  6. CMLL is listed for Sunday at 2p.

Giant Benard vs. Strongman is an interesting feud.

Lots of possible stip matches for Anniversary for sure.

  7. Is this the first major show in a couple of years that CMLL has run without some sort of stip match at the top of the card?

  8. @LLL: The preview features Larry Rivera and GQ Money/Fabian Kaelin, so I’d guess they are doing the English commentary. Maybe Fantasma (not that one) will be doing Spanish commentary ;).

  9. I’m actually surprised that CMLL is running a “big show” PPV on a Sunday night. That main event looks like it could barely draw flies. I’m interested in the semi as is everyone else.

  10. This won’t be on PPV nor will it be at night (i.e. not going straight up against Triplemania). It’s just your normal late afternoon show taped for 52MX and FSE. By the time the main event hits the ring Triplemania will just be an hour or so into their show.

  11. the best of all this will be the match kemonito vs cuije cannot wait for that angle
