Tanahashi, Averno, really not that much, lineups

Tanahashi arrived in Mexico yesterday, talking about wanting to learn a lot while in Mexico and even learn lucha from the beginners classes.

Averno says Mascara will have do something exceptional to take the [NWA] Middleweight Belt from him. This can only mean one thing: top rope campana. By the way, CMLL still lists the NWA titles as NWA Titles on their website. Of course, they also list Hijo del Fantasma as the current CMLL middleweight champion, so maybe it’s not a big priority.

CMLL is trying to get the word out about the main show airing at 1:30 pm this coming Saturday.

AAA returns to IWRG tonight. They also promise surprises on it’s May 15th anniversary, and also say they’ll announce the full TripleMania card next week. I’d like to stay off the internet on next Wednesday, so I’m fairly certain the TripleMania lineup will come out on Wednesday.

Valiente talks about his career, from an anonymous guy in small shows to traveling to Japan yesterday to represent CMLL.

Dos Caras Jr. is wearing his mask for the current WWE Mexico tour, and would prefer you not ask him about not wearing his mask elsewhere.

Alebrije says he’d like to face Brazo de Plata, Shocker, Ultimo Guerrero and Atlantis – the invaders are taking on tecnicos and rudos. He says he knew this was working out good when they were facing tecnicos and he was actually getting booed.

Texano would be open to teaming with Hector Garza, if Garza fully joined the rudo side.

A Fuego en el Ring interview starts out: “In recent weeks, the case of Septiembre Negro has been on everyone’s lips.” Really?

Mini Charly Manson & Mascarita Divina gave incredibly generic quotes about their TripleMania match. They don’t even mention the ladder stipulation.

Octavio Ocana, the child actor who worked opposite of Guapito on an AAA Kid’s Day show, says he’s been training for two months with Octagon and Apache. Hmmm.

The Perros are running a show on 05/21 in Zacatecas.

DJ Spectro looks back at Medico Asesino vs Gardenia Davis and Los Terroristas.

Cronicas Y Leyendas looks back Sangre Chicana.

Kcidis draws the Gran Alternativa winner.

05/05 Mondo Lucha show at Congress

Hopefully this’ll be quick (edit: it wasn’t!), because I’m a bit overloaded today. Though what could be more vital than lucha results from a part music concert/part burlseque show.

Mondo Lucha is a group trying to do the Lucha Va Voom bit of lucha and burlesque dancing. “Trying” is the emphasis. This show was trying by the end.
