Coliseo, Naucalpan, LA Park says he’s done with AAA (and may be fibbing)

CMLL (SUN) 04/11 Arena Coliseo [@cmllmagazine]
1) Disturbio & SementalBengala & Principe
2) Dr. X, Puma King, Tiger KidFabián el Gitano, Molotov, Sensei
3) Amapola, La Comandante, Princesa SujeiLady Apache, Lluvia, Marcela
4) Blue Panther, Sagrado, ToscanoDragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca
5) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último GuerreroBrazo de Plata, Héctor Garza, Strong Man

Rudos took the main in straight falls, when Garza accidentally hit Strong Man in the second to cause the loss. Strong Man was angry, so Garza decided not to go to the locker room and instead flee thru the front door.

Sagrado pinned Dragon Rojo in the semimain. I haven’t had time to run the stats, but I believe guys who get pinned by Sagrado tend not to win title matches the following day.

After the rudos took the second, Fabian demanded a mask match with Dr. X. Dr. X accepted – and then Puma & Tiger challenged Molotov & Sensei to a mask match! Ras de Lona replayed many of these recent Coliseo mask challenges and had words from everyone, and it’s pretty clear this is heading to one massive cage (or maybe relevos?) match in the very near future.

IWRG (SUN) 04/11 Arena Naucalpan [@gladiatores]

Dr. Cerebro retained this title, though he lost another one. See the lineups for more.

Super Luchas #359 has an interview with LA Park, who says he’s done with AAA. His dream was to come back and beat up Parka, and now has no reason to go back.

Most likely, this is setting up Parka Jr. & AAA doing something that explains Park turning back up; this all supposed to be a feud based in reality, so they wouldn’t want him around having random trios matches to take the edge out of it. It seems like the plan is to have no match encounter between the two before TripleMania (which might get them out of having a mask/mask match quite yet), and so the’yre taking it really slow. But, I still don’t trust this one coming off right.

Perros del Mal offically announced Latin Lover would be joining them for the 05/02 show. His name was mentioned on the PPV lineup, but I kind of forget about it when he wasn’t originally listed in a match. Perro Jr. is unsure what name Latin Lover will be using.

Marcela is listed for Big Japan Pro Wrestling shows on 04/28 (Tokyo) and 05/04 (Yokohama) versus joshi wrestlers. there’s shows in between and after those dates, so her stay may be busier and longer than that.

Estrellas del Ring talks to Luna Magica, who’s hoping to return to CMLL.

Proyeccion Luchistica has an audio interview with Dark Angel.

Cronicas Y Leyendas look back at Herodes & Carlos Plata losing their hair 1979, Alfonso Dantes defending the light heavyweight title in El Toreo, the second part of the Gran davis bio, and Perro Aguayo’s senton.

Cesar looks at this week’s lineups.

Rob has some random reviews.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and 70-60 in the 2009 top 100 countdown.

Dos de Tres has La Parka on the cover.

Box Y Lucha 2969 has Silver King turning on Wagner, and Marco joining Perros..

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 04/15 Arena Naucalpan
1) Dragon Fly vs Dinamic Black
2) Guerrero 2000 & Héros vs Comando Negro & Eterno
3) el Ángel, Freelance, Suicida vs Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
4) Brazo de Plata, Brazo Metalico, Hijo del Brazo de Plata vs Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Máscara Año 2000, Máscara Año 2000 Jr. and Chico Che, Ultramán Jr., Zatura and Bombero Infernal, Maldito Jr., Samoth [EdM Trios, semifinal]

The Cerebro Terribles have apparently been stripped due to Cerbero Negro not being around over 90 days. Of the four teams, only the last one is a regular unit, not that means much.

CMLL (SUN) 04/18 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Relampago vs Cerveruz
2) Astaroth & Idolo vs Malefico & Quca
3) Hierro & Palacio Negro vs Mr. Trueno & Ráfaga
4) Hijo del Fantasma & Valiente vs Misterioso II & Sangre Azteca
5) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Máscara Dorada vs Dragon Rojo Jr., Ephesto, Rey Bucanero

Dragon Rojo & Mascara Dorada can not escape each other.

IWRG (SUN) 04/18 Arena Naucalpan
1) Héros vs Alan Extreme
2) Daga & Dinamic Black vs Comando Negro & Eterno
3) Chico Che, Eragon, Jack vs Dr. Cerebro, Maldito Jr., Samoth
4) el Ángel, La Roca, Suicida vs Black Terry, Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Veneno
5) Canek & Scorpio Jr. vs Máscara Año 2000 Jr. & Pirata Morgan

I have amazingly low interest in that main event. I wasn’t able to pay close attention to Ras de Lona, but it did appear “La Roca”‘s name was dropped during a segment where they were showing all the kids in the training school practicing in the ring.

  1. Back in November it was mentioned that Latin Lover was with the Perros group and AAA at the same time. Until now he hasn’t done any work with Perros so it’s not surprise to me that he has a booking with Perros now that he’s gone from AAA.
