Electroshock tells AAA that he and Silver King had previously agreed to be BFF, but Wagner was always jealous. Pimpi can join Electro’s side if he “behaves like a man”, and no one knows what will happen with Ultimo Gladiador. UG’s not been a rudo for too long, they ought to keep him as one for longer.

In a usual Felino talks about being unmasked interview, he says Mr. Niebla is missing due to surgery knee surgery three weeks ago. Niebla has had problems wiht his knees, but he’s also had problems not with his knees. WON mentioned earlier that Niebla was suspended for 30 days. They may be wrong, but Niebla missing Dos Leyendas (despite working the night before) to get knee surgery is weird. Felino credits his own good heal to clean living – no smoking, no drinking, no drugs. Felino would be the greatest possible addition to CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society; he could cure him from being a cat!

SuperLuchas speculates about Euforia, Dr. X, Fabian, Polvora, Raziel and Cancerebro in a mask match. Five rudos might be enough to beat Fabian el Gitano, but it’s no sure thing. (The Angels were also involved, just not enough for the headline.) Maybe CMLL will just keep doing this until June; two months might be enough time to make this a defined rivalary.

Huracan Ramirez Jr. wants Canek Jr.’s mask, and makes the challenge via blog post.

Casandro is offically out of the CHIKARA King of Trios due to his broken leg. The fates will not allow the CHIKARA champion to come to CHIKARA!

Fuego en el Ring concludes their interview with Solar, who talks about winning championships in sold out buildings, changing people’s views on Mexicans and more build up for a match with Satanico. Solar says Hijo del Solar earned his degree in psychology, in case lucha deosn’t work out.

The UK reality show Shocker (and Camorra?) was on turned out to be “The Tourist”, as SuperLuchas and ESTO note. I’ve since learned that you should pick something a bit less generic than “The Tourist” if you want people to be able to find your show on Google.

Dos Caras Jr., as Dos Caras Jr., is on the WWE RAW European tour. No one’s sure what this means. Actually, everyone’s sure what they think this means, but they don’t all agree. I wouldn’t take it as Dos being on TV on Monday, but it’s better than not being on the tour. Dos wrestled with his mask off, which will scandalize the message boards.

Generico will be signing autographs on April 18.

Perros del Mal announced much of their schedule for the next two months

Looks like we already have the 04/18, 04/28, and 05/01 (cage match with mask/hair, plus Charly/X-Fly for hair) lineups written up, and the 05/05 is a rechedulding of an earlier show. Of the others, the 05/02 one is the biggie. Perros del Mal has a long list of guys working this show, and the names not usually seen are Marco Corleone, Latin Lover (unless “Latin” means someone else; they’re trying to skirt the name issue), Sabu, and Tommy Dreamer. Also, there will be matches for the NWA titles and hardcore matches; hopefully at the same time! This will be a Kid’s Day show as well, delayed a couple of days, so tickets will be cheap. This also the show being taped for the US.

Getting back to the list of talent, Perros del Mal also says Marco Corleone has joined. So not so much going back to AAA, and not so much using AAA wrestlers on the MTV show. Sorry for getting that wrong.

Histeria & Alebrije are fighting AAA for their names

When a company and a luchador part on ill terms, there’s always talk about one side or another taking the matter to court. Usually, that’s the last anyone hears about it. Some of those who left AAA last year are taking real action.

The story was covered slightly differently from a lot of sources: the Gladiatores, Notimex, R de Rudo, Record, Fuego en el Ring. Note the pictures are credited to Perros del Mal, with Histeria & Alebrije wearing their masks to this meeting. Cuije and Psicosis (II) were also there, and so were many cameras.

Wednesday, Alebrije, Cuije and Histeria met with AAA and  representatives from at Mexico City’s Board of Concilation and Arbitration. The luchadors want to take their issues of identity ownership and unfair termination to court, but this is a step to see if it can be worked out before a trial. We’ve heard a lot about the identity issue, though I’m not totally sure what the luchadors are claiming – most quote Alebrije talking about building up the name over 13 years, but the Gladiatores says the luchadors actually have the copyrights for their characters in their own name. The unfair termination claim is kind of new; I wonder if it’s the old complaint about their places being taken by Americans?

AAA’s side refused comment. The two sides will meet again Friday to figure out if they can come to some to an agreement. The luchadors said others – Cuije, Psicosis, Charly Manson, Tirantes, and possibly Latin Lover – plan on following on following similar lawsuits, building of the result of this case.

There’s so much I don’t know here (including “the entirety of the Mexican legal system”) that I’d be wasting your time by guessing at how this is going to turn out. We know that LA Park lost a similar case, and Mascara Sagrada won his case, but the circumstances of the two were different from each other and most likely different for this case.

Who knows if it’s related, but all of the new clones – the new Vipers & the new Alebrije – have either been taken off TV or have never appeared on TV.

In retrospect, in makes more sense that the Perros del Mal never ended up running in AAA. They would’ve had a huge chunk of their roster suing their new partner! Perros seems to have gone the opposite route to support the ex-AAAers against AAA.

Arena Mexico, 03/05/2010

– Diamante vs Raziel in a lightning match: disappointing. Not just that they blew the spots (and badly), but because they appeared to just have the big spots in mind, and no plan on how to actually connect them. It shows more when you don’t actually hit them and there’s nothing left.

– Dark Angel, Lady Apache, Lluvia vs Hiroka, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei: Lluvia’s new best match? Not great or anything, but this was in the better half of CMLL women’s trios and I have hope of actual improvement. Also, seriously, do something with Dark Angel already.
