AAA: Rey de Reyes tournament, and replays from last week.

52MX: Angels/Fabian vs Euforia/Dr. X/Polvora, and Panther/Porky/Shocker vs Negro/Guerreros

LATV: more minis and the Triada vs Panther/Rush/Sagrado. Let’s note that this show is getting bombarded with Bracito de Oro vs Pequeno Warrior, and there seems to be 0% chance it’ll air on this show based on usual patterns. I know the commerical time on the main show is horrible, but I still believe that practice is actually the worst run part of CMLL’s TV.

IWRG: Back to the every other episode is new policy? WHO CAN SAY. This would include more of the Canek/Pirata Morgan/Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. feud, and Dr. Cerbero/Masada feuding in the semimian.

CMLL: should be top 3, including Mistico trying the tecnico thing, the Trios champs vs the Renegados w/Vangelis, and the Triad vs Panther/Stuka/Toscano. If they air the lighting match here (which they did last week), I’ll be forever annoyed.

AAA-MEX: tag team title match, Psycho Clowns, and Mesias/Parka/Octagon vs Nuevo WagnerManiacos

CMLL-FOX: Mistico vs Atlantis

C3: the trios title match, and Mistico’s last appearance as a rudo?? (no)

Puebla: on at 12:30 on Saturday and only 90 minutes, so stuff is being cut or just left out. Main event should air, since that’s setting up a program.

ACM: They’ve got to air the Pimpi hair match, right? And maybe Hator’s title match and what ever else is left.

PdM: the top 2 from the SLP taping, which we didn’t even know was a taping. Perros vs Demon, Santo, Wagner (III)

TFN: this should be Dos Leyendas week, so I’d imagine they’d go back to airing the top matches, including Negro Casas vs Mistico and Ultimo Guerrero vs Villano V

  1. Re: CMLL on TFN – you would *think*… but unfortunately, we never got the Dos Leyendas show, so we’ll be skipping a week. This vexed me greatly, as we’d spent time building up to both matches you mentioned, then when we got there, we didn’t get it.

Monday’s show will be the show taped on 27 March, 2009

    * Ultimo Dragoncito vs Pequeno Violencia (minis)
    * El Hijo Del Fantasma, La Mascara & Hector Garza vs Misterioso Jr, Sangre Azteca & Dragon Rojo Jr
    * Mascara Dorada, Shocker & Dos Caras Jr vs Terrible, Mephisto & Averno

When Rey Mendoza Jr turned up on the show (after a couple of months gap), we had to explain in passing that he’d lost his mask to Ultimo Guerrero.

We did some commentary work last night for shows from September/October of ’09, and much like Dos Leyendas, we missed the 76th Anniversary show. That would have marked the 1st Anniversary of us doing the English versions (show #1 for us was the 75th Anniversary – even though TFN jumped on board a few months into the run)

  2. @Stew: The shows are still airing then? That’s pretty neat, I just assumed they finished their original run and TFN bought the shows just to fill up a few months.

Dragoncito vs Peq Violencia will be another first-run match since it never aired anywhere else. Awesome.:D

I guess I jumped the gun on Mistico vs Casas airing but as you said – the commentary led me to believe it was up next. I’ve seen it of course so no harm done but I can see it how it would be annoying for the show’s continuity.

  3. @Stew: They did skip airing Dos Leyendas originally in their usual bit of ntot showing the big shows. It didn’t turn up until the flu shows…

Wait, what did they have you guys do for the flu shows? Just skip a few weeks?

  4. Sorry for not replying for a couple of days – have been (and still am) in Chicago, catching the SHIMMER tapings (feat Dark Angel)

Yes, it’s still an ongoing concern. We get tapes sent from the French office every so often (usually 6-10 at a time). We don’t know what we’ll get until they arrive. For Dos Leyendas, I imagine the batch we had stopped just before what would have been the shows – so we were still calling shows as if DL was forthcoming. So when we got the next batch, it wasn’t there. Gutter – and not a lot you can do about it.

As for the swine flu – we’ve deliberately tried not to refer to dates or such so as not to “date” the show – so it’ll be treated as if it’s week-by-week television with no mention that “we’re back after an x week break”

I remember the swine flu interfering somewhat with Dos Caras’ Rudo turn, which was something I had fun with in calling as we moved to a more traditional tecnico/rudo announce team. Real shame that ended up aborted.
