CMLL (FRI) 03/19 Arena Mexico [Box Y Lucha, KrisZ, ESTO, Ovaciones (PDF), Cesar]
1) Dragon Rojo Jr., Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca b Ángel de Oro, Fuego, Stuka Jr.
2) Mephisto, Terrible, Texano Jr. b Hijo del Fantasma, Máscara Dorada, Valiente
3) Blue Panther, Brazo de Plata, La Máscara b Ray Mendoza Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Taichi
4) Héctor Garza, Máximo, Negro Casas b Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero
5) Místico & Volador Jr. b Felino & La Sombra [elimination]
6) La Sombra b Felino [mask]

R de Rudo has video of Mistico stealing Felino’s pin on Sombra. SuperLuchas has Sombra talking about the biggest win of his career.

I’m not around this afternoon, but if Ras de Lona airs the end of the match, I’ll grab it and put it up later tonight; it may be a long time before we get to see it otherwise.

Taichi says he’s still trying to figure out lucha, but watch out when he does.

Puma King is proud of making it into CMLL on his own, not because he was using the Casas name.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Rob has a whole lot of CMLL FSE.

I may pop back in with the lineups if they turn up in the next hour.

  1. the handhelds are starting to come in. Felino announces his own name, age, etc., never seen that before.

  2. Porky/Dorada/Volador Jr. vs Terrible/Texano/Vangelis from 1/15 also hyped as airing later.

  3. IWRG starts 6 minutes after 3! Gringos del Averno also have yet another name. Gringos VIP.

Gringos vs. Chico Che/Black Terry/Dr. Cerebro

They missed Dr. Cerebro jumping off the balcony.

  4. Two completely random event from last night that I forgot to mention. First, the opening “dance” sequence was the most bizarre thing ever. Started out with edecanes dressed as druids with torches. I waited patiently for Mesias to come out, but no, this was just a random way to make it look like they actually are copying AAA’s copying of WWE. The ladies then failed in their attempt to put out the torches so they handed them offstage, removed their robes to reveal harem style veils/bells/etc. No idea how the druids/harem outfits were supposed to be connected, either to each other or the show in general. They then dance briefly while a guy spinning torches comes out on stage. He is followed by four men in gladiator gear who entered the ring and had a sword/battle axe fight while the edecanes stood around holding the helmets the men had worn to the ring. No idea what all of this was supposed to mean, but clearly CMLL is running out of ideas for big dance numbers for their big shows.

Also, there was a presentation for the apartment CMLL is giving away during the show. Its entirely possible that we misunderstood what was going on, but it seemed to have been won by the long haired guy from 3ra Caida. One would think that the fact that he announces their Puebla show might have disqualified him, but apparently not. This got the highest amount of “rudo heat” from the crowd of anything that happened last night.

  5. CMLL isn’t on LATV tonight it seems. Well at least here it isn’t. College Basketball is on.

  6. @Alan: It was indeed the guy from Tercera Caida who. People are vouching for him legitimately going to the shows and maybe he really did win without any help, but it looks horrible and everyone involved should’ve known much better.

  7. @Alan: We actually spent a lot of time discussing Bernardo winning the apartment during the chat.

IWRG finished later and CMLL on LATV started as it was finishing. The good thing is CMLL does so much intro bs on that show, you can miss that and still catch both matches AND grab a snack, make a phone call, watch a movie and not miss a thing.

Bracito vs. Peq. Warrior on LATV. Its amazing how much crappier this show is on LATV than it was in the past. They’ve come up with a way to fill out the first half of the show with a 10 minute lightning match, edecanes dancing, promos, and commercials.

  8. CMLL is airing here
    3) Bracito de Oro DQ Pequeño Warrior [lightning] – repeat from the main show
    2) Dr. X, Hooligan, Nitro b Delta, Diamante, Guerrero Maya Jr.

(first segment includes masked Felino doing a promo.)

    52MX
Bronco, Puma King, Tiger Kid DQ Fabián el Gitano, Leono, Starman
Ray Mendoza Jr., Sangre Azteca, Vangelis b Máximo, Metro, Rush

Looks like a new episode of RFS as well.

  9. Shoedini would make a great prize for the next CMLL contest!

Guerrero Maya Jr. wearing his Multifacetico jacket. LOL!

    da da da da….

Why don’t they change the intro music? It would eliminate the beeps.

  10. No C3 on Canal 44 but the RealPlayer link has it except with horrible video lagging issues.

  11. From what I can make out the mini’s Torneo is starting C3. Hope it eventually makes it online.

  12. Fun cibernetico. Great to get to see some rudo/rudo and tecnico/tecnico work from the minis.

  13. Something seems strange about the Canal 44 feed. Is it possible they went completely local now and are not using the Mexico Cadena Tres feed for their evening proramming?

  14. Just got back from FCW. Dos Caras Jr. was there so he’s still employed. That was shock of the night. He’s also a rudo and seems to be feuding with Incognito. Alberto trying to cut a promo was funny as hell.

  15. Has anyone gotten results from last nights XLAW show? I know La Hermandad showed up as surprise wrestlers. Not for nothing but XLAW git the short end of the stick if this is the thanks for LA Park and Sabu being used by AAA.

I know they’re indy guys (or at least claim to be) but to give up your headliners a day before your show is pretty ballsy since it could have cost you some tickets at the gate. Especially when you clearly see Sabu and LA Park working together on Friday night.

  16. AAA TV had the women and now Koslov vs X-Tiger. Mesias/Electro/I forget his name is up later. I assume the Wagnermaniacos match will air too.

Yeah that was the lineup for todays show. I could have sworn Electro and Wagner had some more words with each other but I guess they left that on the cutting room floor. Along with all of LA Park’s comments for La Parka. Overall I think the show was entertaining. I wish they would air a late night version of their show with no bleeps or editing.

But then again I understand that they want you to come out to the live shows to see everything unedited
