He’s listed as Mr. Kennedy on the lineup, but he’s working as Mr. Anderson in TNA now. He was contacted to be the mystery man in the Copa Pena at Heroes Inmortales, but was not available (and AAA ended up with Konnan Big instead.) I don’t think he’s going to become AAA Heavyweight Champion, but it is AAA.

As suggested on AAA’s TV, the Rey de Reyes tournament has been a victim of downsizing, down from 16 participants to 12. It seems as if we’re missing a rudo in Elegido/Kenzo/Crazy group – maybe that’s the most likely winner for the group, given those 3. The Parka/Zorro/Chessman/Octagon group is toughest to pick, while the other one really has to be Marco or Jack.

Cibernetico vs Konnan is listed as lucha a muerte. Whatever that ends up meaning.

If Pimpi wins the trios match, he gets to be in WagnerManiacos. If the WagnerManiacos win, I dunno. Seeing as there’s two mystery spots, and there’s a tag team usually on these show that will work with anyone for the right amount of money, this seems like an easy guess.

A few weeks ago, the WON had a list of even more women AAA was talking about bringing in. One of them was Christina Von Eerie, so that’s who that is. (I have absolutely no idea who that is.) Update: AAA says it’s actually Lacey Von Erich. Why? Update 2: AAA changed it to Christian Von Eerie.

20 thoughts to “03/12 AAA TV Lineup (Queretaro) – Rey de Reyes”

  1. Just looked up Christina Von Erie and as I figured by her name, she has a Misfits/Horror Punk look.

  2. I can’t even remember if this is the venue WWE ran in Queretaro. I just remember it was an outdoor location.

I think the indoor gimnasio would have been sufficient.

  3. Lacey Von Erich is hot, and being in a six-woman will hide her weaknesses. That’s a good move.

This show will end at around 1:00 am local time.

  4. Great site cubsfan! I was just wondering if you had any idea what happened to this great wrestler I saw a few times in AAA. His name was Aero Star. He seemed like he could be the next Rey Misterio Jr. but I never see him on TV any more. Did he retire? Does the promotion know he still exists? Thank you.

  5. @Rob: That makes no sense Rob… how would a native opening match Mexican’s payday for a major show be anything close to a US-born female wrestler’s payday? Gotta cut Ozz too!

  6. I find all this talk about nationality to be a bit troubling, especially during the Age of Obama. We’re supposed to look beyond all that stuff. Fans want a product with an international flavor, and AAA is giving it to them.

As a WWF fan of the 80’s one thing I loved about the product was the diversity. The All-American Backlund, the Samoans, Snuka, Rocky Johnson, Tito Santana, etc…………. AAA is doing the same thing.

I’m sure Perro Jr., Santo, and other top names are welcome back, but they’re so hard to deal with when it comes to price, you can’t fault any office for not dealing with them.

  7. @LLL

I can’t speak for everybody on this site, but speaking for myself only I don’t have a problem with foreigners coming in, but I do have a problem with the reason for why they are being brought in. AAA (Konnan) wants to Americanize lucha libre, and all these American wrestlers are being brough in to make the company more American. AAA (Konnan) also seems to be fazing out the Mexican wrestlers. That’s not creating variety, that’s eliminating variety.

When CMLL brings in a foreigner, we are seeing that foreigner wrestle in a Mexican wrestling company. When AAA brings in foreigners they make the foreigners out to be the greatest thing to ever step foot in a Mexican ring no matter how crappy they are, and the company is adapting itself to the foreigners.

I like variety, so when I tune into Mexican wrestling I want to see Mexican wrestling……. not a company based in Mexico that tries to be American.

Does that clear things up for you LLL?
