Felino snuck in a foul on Sombra for the deciding fall. Recap notes Poder Mexica is on a losing streak here. In an interview with SuperLuchas, Maximo is evasive about joining the rudos.

Cesar notes the 03/19 AAA lineup is a bit lax because many AAA wrestlers were already supposed to go to Panama that weekend for RXW. Mesias, Marco, Jack, Nicho and Konnan are mentioned as going.

Mini Black Warrior wants, in order: 1) Bracito de Oro’s mask, 2) Bam Bam’s title and hair, 3) Pierrothito’s title, and 4) Mascarita’s mask in honor of the bicentennial. That’s a man with goals.

Over on El Martiente, Clark_El posted the Olimpico interview from Box Y Lucha. He’s very critical of Perros del Mal, bitter over the same guys being on top, and apologetic towards CMLL for ever leaving. Olimpico says people in the company have talked with both AAA & CMLL and tosses off a mention of an attempt of a Perros del Mal/AAA alliance (???). Olimpico clearly wants to be back in CMLL, but he’s in the spot as Zumbido. They need CMLL far more than CMLL needs them.

ROH announced more lucha names for their shows over the next few months: Alex Koslov and Rocky Romero return to face of on their 03/26 in Phoenix, and Solar has been added to their 04/03 show in Charlotte. That’s five lucha wrestlers for Charlotte, so they need one more, and there’s the obvious Solar opponent.

Today’s Ovaciones doesn’t have new news, but it does have Alex Koslov attacking someone with a chair in a computer lab.

AAA runs down the Rey de Reyes announcements from this week’s TV show, mentioned “Copa 187” is a contenders tournament for the tag team titles. Also, May Flowers is happy to be back on TV, and since Zorro said the numbers 12 and 21 are important, they look into meanings of the 12.

AAA action figures were shown off at last week’s New York Toy Fair, but the line is “currently on hold.” There are pictures of the Parka & Wagner figures at the link, if you haven’t seen them.

El Pancracio has one two stories about a lucha libre expo a couple weeks ago, plus interviews with Lobo Vikingo and Celestial.

SuperLuchas confirms LA Park will face Sabu on March 20th.

ESTO writes about The Voice of Santo, the many voice actors who supplied his voice for the movies.

Cronicas Y Leyendas looks back at Scorpio Jr. vs Black Scorpio.

DJ Spectro has a photo of Villano III before he was Villano III.

There’s a screen of Super Amigos in Toronto tonight.

411Mania reviews the 12/19/09 Perros del Mal show.

Luchas 2000 #509 has Volador Jr. & Negro Casas with their new belts, and Dr. Wagner Jr. teasing a punch to Electroshock’s mask (which is awesome. Also, have we ever seen Dr. Wagner and Dr. Doom in the same place at the same time?)

This month’s Dos de Tres includes a clever meeting of Psycho Circus and Los Payasos (theoretically the original Los Payasos, but given it’s Los Payasos, it’s probably not the originals.)

Lineup

CMLL (MON) 03/01 Arena Puebla
1) Asturiano, Blue Center, Milenium vs Akron, Karisma, Mr. Rafaga
2) Dalis la Caribeña, Estrella Mágica, Lady Apache vs Princesa Blanca, Yezca, Zeuxis
3) Bam Bam, Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito vs Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
4) Blue Panther, Toscano, Volador Jr. vs Naito, Shigeo Okumura, Taichi
5) Strong Man vs Último Guerrero

Strong Man/UG this week, Bam Bam/Violencia next? It’s odd Naito is off Sunday’s show if he’s still around to work on Monday.

  1. Olimpico will come back b/c he has lots of history with CMLL. I think the cost of coming back will be his mask though. He’s in a much better position than Zumbido who offers nothing and has a rep for outside the ring issues that CMLL really doesn’t need. In the end I assume Negro Casas will go to bat for both and get them in.
