Clearly, the Vipers (“2.0: The War Machine” – uh oh, watch out for angry porn stars) are taking over. Whoever put together this card appears to be suffering at the hands of Amnesia. Also, I hope there’s more of an evident direction when I watch these shows than when I read about. The big angle from the previous week (Cibernetico vs the Legion, with the Clowns thrown in) is not included, though it does nicely allow for people who haven’t been on much to be on. It still looks like vacation mode, but it’s a wacky trip to the beach.
Main event is WagnerManiacos vs Legion, and those matches have been going fairly badly for the Legion side. I see Electroshock, I see Alex Koslov, I do not see good things for the foreigners here.
The last time we saw Decnnis and Guapito on TV, they were in bitter feud with Joe Lider & Nicho el Millinoario. Naturally, they’re partners now. Maybe this will be addressed on TV? Note that Crazy Boy & Extreme Tiger’s own painful break up hasn’t really been, when they’ve teamed before. This feud is far more recent.
The entire Air Force (and Aregnis – AAA implies he’s not a member) has a rare teamup on TV, because the new Vipers are four man strong and need someone to oppose. This could be fun.
The last time we saw Cinthia Moreno & Sexi Star, they were sort of feuding after Sexi Star turned on her and Cinthia joined the tecnicas. Naturally, they’re partners now and Cinthia’s back on the ruda sign. Maybe this will be addressed on TV? (I hope they introduce another Viper named Déjà Vu.) This should be a good match and we can all find out together if Fabi got a more secure cap.
The opener is quite a collection of leftovers. Zumbi is the Brazilian wrestler from the Chilpancingo taping. Mantra is back from his single appearance on the 10/30 show. Looks like he’ll continue feuding with Octagon from a safe distance. We thought Mantra might be Black Abyss, but it didn’t look that way on TV and that’s unlikely to be the case here. I had thought he might be one of the Consgrados. Since he’s teaming with Angel Mortal (first TV appearance since 2008) and Mr. Condor left AAA last year, that would narrow down the suspects to one. I guess we’ll see!
Remember that guy, Alan Stone? He was pretty good.

With the frequent Wagnermania vs Legion matches recently, what are the chances on the El Zorro vs Elecktroshock being resurrected?

Interesting lineup. Fuerza Aerea vs new Vipers looks fun on paper but you have to remember these aren’t THE Vipers. These are new guys who have yet to be seen on TV in a match and may be the worst wrestlers ever doing DTU spots only.
Opener looks all sorts of fun and is a great flashback to the great days of AAA w/ random appearences (Mantra) and new guys showing up only to never be seen again (Zumbi).
I approve! But I fear these tapings are useless and whatever they do at Rey De Reyes will be based off the 2 tapings beforehand and this is all just filler.
Man Cubs getting my hopes up with the Zumbi. Oh well, that match probably won’t air anyways.
The Observer says NOAH’s Go Shiozaki was supposed to work this taping before he got hurt.
I would bet he was supposed to be in the main event in Alex’s place, with Alex in the semimain instead of Decnnis.

There is absolutely NO FORWARD MOVEMENT AT ALL. It’s all status quo stuff until the 2 tapings they’ll do in late February/early March to set up a couple of Rey De Reyes matches. Then April – May will be the same exact booking with the final 2 June tapings setting up Triplemania.
It’s horrible.
Are the Vipers just going to keep rotating matches against the Black Family and Fuerza Aerea?
Are the mini’s heading anywhere? Why is Mini Chessman a tecnico all of a sudden?
Fabi vs Sexy are still feuding? Why? Sexy won the feud.
What did Aero Star, Alan Stone and Laredo Kid do to stop being booked regularly?
Mesias vs Morishima is going to be such a mess. It’s obviously just booked to give Mesias a chance to pretend he is one of the best wrestlers in the world which we all know he’s not. So they’ll wrestle 30 minutes and the crowd won’t give a shit. Mesias will win and it will mean nothing.
This company is so directionless.
It has a direction and that is to keep Wagner in main events as both tecnico & rudo. He has feuds with everyone so he can main event on both sides.
I think Mesias is doing these big matches so he can have an audition tape ready for WWE once his contract ends.
The whole Legion thing is stale and they just need to completely revamp everything.
EMLL is about to have something with Mistico rudoing it up and AAA will be left in the dust if they don’t make a big move.
AAA just needs to pull the Perros trigger and bring him in already.
