Sin Salida Occasionally Live Results – Sombra/Volador retain, Texano/Terrible win the hair match

Didn’t realize EstadioWeb would be on the air so soon. Sounds like they’re onto the Super Porky match already. Will update with results as I get ’em.

Live chat. Not sure how many we’ll get.

Happened already:

CMLL (FRI) 12/04 Arena Mexico
1) Pegasso, Rey Cometa, Rouge vs Hooligan, Loco Max, Skándalo
2) Mascarita Dorada vs Pequeño Damian 666 [lightning]

3) Brazo de Plata, La Máscara, Máximo b Felino, Misterioso II, Negro Casas

– Monito is out with the tecnicos.
– Crowd loud behind Negro.
– Porky may be dressed up like Santa Claus already.
* tecnicos win the first fall
* and the second, which includes a Porky dive. Tecnicos all beat the rudos clean, including Porky getting Negro.

Misterioso does an interview with the announcers with the usual random mask/hair/title challengers. Poder Mexica wants a trios title shot vs Garza and company. Misterioso took the campana here for the finish, which doesn’t make his case too strong.

4) Héctor Garza, Místico, Strong Man b Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero
* Rudos win a super quick first fall
* tecnicos come back the second
* tecnicos take the third, with Strong Man setting UG up for Mistico to finish with La Mistica

– After the match, UG talked to the announcers. Seems like we’ve switched GdA NOT breaking up.
5) La Sombra & Volador Jr. b Ephesto & Mephisto [CMLL TAG]
* rudos take the first
– crowd very pro-rudo tonight
* tecnicos take the second off ‘ranas
– crowd way into the match
– in a long third fall, it comes down to Volador & Mephisto.
– Ephesto interfers, almost gets away with it, almost gets his team DQ
* Volador pins Ephesto, Champions retain

On Now
6) Terrible & Texano Jr. b Naito & Yujiro [hair]

– La Nazi is seconding Terrible & Texano Jr., to counter Mima Shimoda. Mima didn’t actually come out before the match, but turned up in the 3rd fall to fight.
* Mexico wins fall 1 quick.
* Japan takes a little longer to win 2
* Texano gets pinned first (!)
* Terrible ties it up with a pin on Yujiro
* Terrible defeats Naito. No Limit lose their hair.

  1. I totally forgot about this show, but the chat was absolutely epic stuff. I’d be interested in doing a Guerra De Titanes chat.

  2. Just to fill in the other results, Tecnicos won the opener in an OK match (I clearly expect a lot from everyone other than Rouge), and Dorada won the lightning match. Cometa went for the simple tornillo instead of trying to kill himself this week. I agree that he should be saving the big move, but I’d argue that using it at Coliseo and last week instead of saving it for this week was the actual mistake. This week seems like it would have been worth breaking out. Maybe he should just use it on shows I attend. Minis were as good as you would expect from these two.

I checked the tape when I got home and the minis and tercera aired on TDN. Would have preferred the opener and minis, but at least they kept the tercera to a two fall match. Also, it was Felino in the Santa outfit, not Porky. But, Porky has advertising all over him now.

Mistico/Garza/Strongman vs GdA/Niebla was fine. Niebla is now wearing a fake ass to the ring. I believe I heard a short lived “Gringo MFer” chant for Strongman which is a first at Arena Mexico for me.

Tag match was definitely the match of the night. Lots of dives and some decent near falls in the tercera. Lots of wasted near falls too, but some that actually had me thinking it was over. Kind of expected a title change given all of the tecnico wins earlier on the card. Mephisto was wearing a two devil horned mask and wore a Diablos Rojo (I think) soccer jersey to the ring. Maybe Dos Jr can come back and feud with him over this gimick. Volador/Sombra came out in all black which works well for them.

I’m probably in the minority, but I was happy to see Terrible get the win in the hair match. Texano getting eliminated put the finish in doubt way more than if Terrible had been eliminated first. Anyway, I thought this was a good end to No Limits run here and I actually think they showed some improvement over the course of their time in Mexico. Where was Vangelis to run off Okumora when he and Mima Shimoda made their appearance? We finally could have had some interaction between the Nazis. I would have totally marked out for this just for Rob.

The crowd was a bit better than I expected, but I still think it has to be disappointing given card and the ticket prices. I’d say the lower level was 80% full and the second and third levels were probably a little over half full. I’m not sure if the cheaper seat attendance was affect by all of the demonstrations and extra people in town right now which made traffic when going to the Arena.

  3. Forgot to mention this above, and I’m not sure it means anything, but the normal Televisa crew was calling the show. I think this was probably the case with the Yujiro/Warrior match that aired on Cadena Tres too, so I wouldn’t read too much into it, but thought it was worth pointing out given the discussion of the possibility of Cadena Tres airing the show in a previous comments section.

  4. @Alan – I agree regarding Terrible getting the win for the team. That was good booking. They have pushed Texano hard, but Terrible has just kinda been along for the ride. Texano being eliminated first but Terrible getting the big win for his team should help elevate him.

  5. Oops. I meant that for Alan, not Nikita. Alan said he taped FSE. I still use a VCR, but also use a DVR.
