CMLL (SUN) 01/03 Arena Coliseo
1) Principe & Súper Camaleón vs Cholo & Ramstein
2) Metálico, Molotov, Sensei vs Dr. X, Hooligan, Nitro
3) Bam Bam, Eléctrico, Mascarita Dorada vs Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
4) Flash, Leono, Rush vs Cancerbero, Raciel, Virus
5) Brazo de Plata, Shocker, Toscano vs Dragon Rojo Jr., Ray Mendoza Jr., Rey Bucanero

That’s a weak semimain event. Maybe they’re adding a match and changing the card (Ramstein in a match always seems like a fakeout) , but there’s no obvious match to be added.

  1. Agreed, Gonzalez, but it’s not really outrageous to me. I just don’t understand why Mysterio has to be the only masked wrestler in WWE (excluding Hurricane, but that’s a different kind of gimmick anyway). Masks add an entire layer of mystery and backstory to a wrestler, not to mention the hype around an unmasking. Of course, I’m on a blog about lucha libre, so you know this anyway.

  2. So, since Bucanero replaced Ephesto and teamed with the rest of the Triada del Terror, CMLL seems to have forgot about what happened in May.

  3. I just watched that ECW match and “Julio Cruise” definitely looked like Super Nova to me. Incognito didn’t even get into the ring, only being knocked off the apron.

  4. @Travis: They *might* eventually – though it’s more likely that Rey Jr. stays as the only masked guy to keep him unique – but they probably wanted to test them as unmasked wrestlers to give them more options.
