Mexico, Monterrey, Super Porky sponsored

CMLL (TUE) 11/24 Arena Mexico
1) Disturbio & Semental b Molotov & Súper Camaleón
2) Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei, Zeuxis b Estrella Mágica, Lady Apache, Lluvia
3) Euforia, Pólvora, Virus b Ángel Azteca Jr., Ángel de Oro, Ángel de Plata
4) Blue Panther, Brazo de Plata, Máximo b Felino, Ray Mendoza Jr., Shigeo Okumura
5) Máscara Dorada b Negro Casas

Dorada lost the first, but came back to win two straight. He’d like that title match now.

Tecnicos won the semimain in straight falls when the rudos got DQed in the first for excessive violence on Maximo.

AAA (SUN) 11/22 Arena Coliseo Monterrey
1) Angel Dorado Jr. & Sky b Epidemius & TDN [AAA NORTH TAG]
2) Baby Rap, Laredo Kid, Máscara Púrpura b Golden Boy, Rey Demonio, Simbolo
3) May Flowers, Pimpinela Escarlata, Yuriko b Black Mamba, Caifan Rockero I, Rey Infernal
4) Sobredosis b Hombre Sin Miedo [NORTH MIDDLE]
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Electroshock DQ Nicho el Millionario & Ozz

Both title matches were title changes. Nicho pulled Wagner’s mask for the DQ.

On Google, “Cancerberos Infernales” translates to “Moderator & Software Editor”. See, Google takes user suggestions for translations, and probably could use a better approval algorithm for them. CMLL’s recap says the tecs won that, though a box y lucha post says Euforia got away with a foul to win, and has a picture of one of the Angels still selling the blow. EH.

Mima replaced Princesa Blanca in the second. And the whole rudo side changed in the opener.

AAA put a post up hinting about the matches at Guerra de Titanes. BUt the poster is already floating out there, so the hints aren’t really that necessary.

CMLL held another press conference today, which included the lineup for the 12/04 show. I’ll get to it in it’s own post, but the other news:

– Brazo de Plata is now being sponsored by Rotoplas, a water container and plumbing company. Apparently, their water tanks are everywhere. I am scared of the ideas you could come up with Super Porky and plumbing. He’ll have new gear.

– Christmas and New Year’s fall on Friadys this year. CMLL will be running special shows for those days, at an early 5pm start time. (Which means they’ll end about the time they usually start.) They’ll also have a special show on January 6th (3 Kings Day), and the Tuesday Arena Mexico show that week (11/28?) will be moved to Wednesday in Arena Coliseo.

Fuego en el Ring has an interview with Satanico about his career. Worth reading, even if I didn’t remember to pull a quote. They also to talk to Terrible, who likes hearing his name mentioned as going to Japan, but will not actually believe until he has the plane ticket in his hand. Smart man.

The Gladiatores has video interviews with Lady Apache and promoter Jose Contreras.

Cronicas and Leyendas looks back at Wolf Rubinskis, Estrella Blanca, and Tortugas Ninjas. Speaking of, the IWRG Turtle appears to be Leonardo.

Box Y Lucha talks to the Brazos (like the other interviews from a few weeks ago), Tirantes, Psicosis, Histeria about their names (same as usual – Psi and Histeria have started adding Xtreme to their names anyway), and the new Karis La Momia (who says he’s got permission from Parka.) Also, Villano III tells a story about how Kung Fu sleeping in his car before a show ended with Los Fantasticos being thrown in jail.

DTU posts promos from Shiima Xion and Drake Younger on Tercera Caida about the DTU/CZW show on Saturday.

CMLL (MON) 11/30 Arena Puebla
1) Milenium & SWAT vs Crazy Black & Toro Bill Sr.
2) Blue Center & Pegasso vs Fuerza Chicana & Policeman
3) Lady Apache vs Lluvia, Dalis la Caribeña, Marcela, Estrella Mágica, Hiroka, Zeuxis, Princesa Blanca, La Nazi, Princesa Sujei [#1 Contenders, CMLL WOMEN]
4) Héctor Garza, Místico, Shocker vs Terrible, Texano Jr., Vangelis
5) Averno vs Volador Jr. [NWA MIDDLE]

A lot of stuff packed in here for whatever reason. Mostly just the way the schedule works out.

Averno/Volador’s been set up the last few weeks. Vangelis teaming up with Terrible & Texano finally gets him a shot against Mistico. Vangelis’ whole deal for coming to CMLL was to get the Mexican Light Heavyweight title back from Mistico (Mistico still holds it, even if they forgot) – this is the first time they’ve met in 2 years.

Amapola hasn’t defended her belt since July, so it’s nice they actually are doing something with it. It doesn’t appear to take much to get a shot to become the top women’s wrestler in the world; forget all the others novatas, Dalis La Caribena has wrestled all of one match and is as close to the title as the national champ. Kinda surprising that Marcela & Hiroka are scheduled back working here but none of the guys from the France tour turn up.

indy (TUE) 12/01 Arena Coliseo Monterrey
1) Infinito & Solovino vs Lover Boy & Sangre Negra
2) Aguila Extrema & Gato Fantasma vs Gemelo Muerte I & Gemelo Muerte II
3) Diluvio Negro II, Furor, Mongol Chino vs Bengali, Difunto I, Difunto II
4) Hijo del Ninja, Potro Jr., Silver Star vs Pierko el Boricua, Sergio Romo Jr., Zumbido
5) Ángel Dorado & Koko Viper vs Angel Night & Sky [Relevos Increíbles, hair, mask]

Two TV tapings and CMLL’s big show lineup to come.

5 thoughts to “Mexico, Monterrey, Super Porky sponsored”

  1. Not only does the new Karis say he has the rights to use the gimmick – he identifies himself as La ParkAAA’s brother!

  2. Wow Zumbido is in ACM now. That’s cool.

I was switching channels this morning and turned on ESPN Deportes. They had a segment about the Latin America Poker Tour and who is there? None other than El Hijo Del Santo. Seeing Santo playing poker in a World Poker Tour shirt and his mask was awesome.

  3. It’s wrong to make wrestlers work on Christmas day even if it is an earlier start time. Even Vince McMahon has learned to not do that.

  4. Except that it’s tradition in Mexico and the guys who work those shows are guys who live in the area anyways. It’s not like they send La Sombra home for the holidays and then say “but you gotta come back on Christmas Day if we book you.”
