Not a lot of angles on this show.

The only really big news coming out of this show was the title change in the second match. Sexi Star interfered, trying to hit Fabi with a chair, and got Cinthia instead. Fabi took advantage for the win. AAA also posted the note officially saying Oriental is done here. Credit to LuchandoLibre for finding that out weeks in advance. Seems like Cinthia is staying. With Esther coming is as a tecnico and a whole bunch of foreign rudos to feud with, maybe this inadvertent chair shot leads to Cinthia being back on the tecnica side. Fabi & Mari can only feud with so many people at one time.

Report says the crowd was 100% against Dr. Wagner in the main event. Gronda and Gronda only wrestled a little bit in their match. Charly bled a lot, again. Decnnis took out Mari with a Michinoku Driver, which means Billy surely owes him.

Next taping is 09/18 in Puebla. Probably won’t get a lineup for that until next week from AAA, but maybe it’ll turn up elsewhere. They’re hinting we may get the Pena lineup soon, but that show is still 3 weeks away.

Edit: See, typos happen to me too.

  1. Maybe the 9/18 Puebla taping got canned due to missing a week of TV and being behind? B/c the AAA website added the Puebla lineup and it looks more like a random show than a TV taping:

LA PARKA, EL MESIAS Y CHARLY MANSON VS. CIBERNETICO, CHESSMAN Y ELECTROSHOCK.

LAREDO KID, SUPER FLY Y RELAMPAGO VS. PSYCHO CLOWN, MURDER CLOWN Y MONSTER CLOWN.

EL APACHE Y AEROSTAR VS. BILLY BOY Y BLACK ABYSS.

Though that last match would be quite awesome to see.

This Sunday is Verano pt. 2, next Sunday can be Tula and they can air part 1 of the Pena Memorial one day after it takes place.

  2. @Rob: Can they really? Just looking back to 2006, I think the quickest turnaround from taped->air is 4 days. It seems like they should be able to do a one day turnaround, but until they do…

I have an idea about how to get an anwer to this question, let’s see if I get to it.
