– Electrico, Mascarita Dorada ©, Shockercito vs Pequeño Damian 666 ©, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior – Universo and Electrico didn’t do much for me – though Electrico really should get the Mini Hector Garza gimmick – but everyone else was good and Dorada spun himself dizzy, so this is a thumbs up. Dorada and Pierroth and Skayde and Turbo in CHIKARA next week is going to be awesome.
– Ephesto ©, Misterioso II, Virus vs Sagrado ©, Stuka Jr., Valiente (part 2) – they seemed to set up Sagrado vs Epehsto here, which could be interesting if not especially compelling. Really, it’s the same deal for tonight’s lightning match versus Mephisto – in a singles match, Sagrado figures either to be just OK or just totally self destruct in remarkable fashion, so it’s more of a battle to see if Ephesto or Mephisto could keep it together. Of course, tonight’s his first singles match in Arena Mexico in two years, since he lost to Aguila in the 2007 Leyenda de Plata, so maybe things will be different. This match here was a good outcome of the CMLL random midcard match generator – nothing you need to see but something that’s good on a weekly show.
Sagrado vs Aguila… *shudder* It was bad enough trying to see Sagrado in a singles match but that was 3 months before Aguila decided to start trying again.
Thought this was a pretty good show. Semi-main wasn’t as mailed-in as I thought it would be. I’d still love to know if Stuka and Virus are feuding or not.
Electrico might get the chance to do that Pequeno Garza gimmick after next Friday!
