TripleMania notes, IWRG Thursday results, lineups

Lots of TripleMania reports and news
– Record has stories on each match: Extreme Tiger as ‘welter’weight champ, Zorro not taking all ten shots, AAA beating the Legion, Wagner winning the AAA mega title, Lider & Nicho winning the tag titles, and the crowd for TripleMania running into the crowd for music group Cafe Tacvba.

Konnan says he’ll continue in AAA. He’ll when people get tired of him. (Yea, I know.) Santo just was there to steal the glory. Zorro is out of the Foreign Legion.

Santo says he’ll continue to support AAA, but it sounds like he’s like staying independent.

Luchando Libre runs thru the show, giving the most praise to the Wagner/Mesias match and the production of the show

– SuperLuchas has photos of the show.

– Cesar says the AAA fans came to TripleMania to see ex-CMLL wrestlers, and looks at the things the day after, like how wrestling is clearly not doing as well as it was two years ago.

– Ovaciones has a two page recap of the show.

Videos are turning up slowly. The Mesias/Wagner match is in the previous comments, and the trailer that aired for the AAA video game is on YouTube, via todoluchas.com.

  1. Ain’t it fantastic how Star Fire worked one match where not only did she hurt herself but she also contributed to taking Marcela out of action for a while! Now THAT is a debut!

  2. @Calabcd44: Why would you want the video game to be more based on last year’s roster? Last year AAA didn’t have the all star roster that they do now. A lot of the guys who were in AAA last year are still around this year, but now you have so many more stars.

  3. @Calabcd44: I see your point. Keep in mind though that the game was made months before Triplemania so I’m sure the guys you mentioned will be in it, and beleive me I want them in the game too.

I didn’t watch Triplemania yet so to be fair I’ll save my comments until after I watch it.

  4. Anyone know the IWRG schedule for today since there is a 3 hour Raw? I’m guessing it will be an hour earlier (or a late night showing), but the cablevision guide shows it starting at 6:00 (never the norm) and running until 7:30 which seems unlikely to me.

  5. BOOOOOOOOOOO! Why a repeat when Los Piratas were scheduled against Freelance? WHY???
