3) HirokaDark Angel [lightning]
4) Mascara DoradaMetroValiente DQ Shigeo OkumuraSkandaloVirus
5) Blue PantherHijo del FantasmaLa MascaraFelinoMephistoNegro Casas
6) Dos Caras Jr.TerribleTexano Jr. DQ Hector GarzaMisticoShocker

Dos’ first match on the rudo side.  He won the match for his team by tossing hsi mask to Shocker, who was caught with it. ESTO seems harsh on his performance – I think they wanted him to be more rough and less tricky.

Mephisto replaced Heavy Metal, and the rudos lost in that match to triple dives at the end.

Tecs took the fourth by straight falls, Virus fouling Valiente in the second. Maybe they are doing that feud?

Hiroka beat Dark Angel would be an upset if there wasn’t some expectation Dark Angel was finishing up here. I’ve been seeing some spot show lines up of of her facing Amapola in title matches (though no results), so I wonder if ther’s an actual plan for her to give rudas wins ont he way out, or if it just seems like there’s a plan.

CMLL (FRI) 04/17 Arena Puebla [Ovaciones]
4) Ultimo GuerreroRay Mendoza Jr. [CMLL HEAVY]

No surprise.

AAA Wagner (WED) 04/15 Estadio de la Revolucion
1) Autentico & Centella Azul Jr. b Licantropo & Rey Sagitario
2) Chamuco Trevino & Emperador Azteca b Brillante & Psycho
3) Arana del Futuro & Sexy Piscis b Maquina 27 & Moro III
4) Chamuco Trevino & Emperador Azteca b Arana del Futuro & Sexy Piscis
5) Chamuco Trevino b Emperador Azteca
6) Killer Clown, Psycho Clown, Zombie Clown b Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
7) Silver King b Charly Manson
8) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Mesias b Konnan & Zorro

El Siglo de Torreon hated this show so much, it took took two articles to express it. Silver King came to the ring in his mask, wrestled a bad match with Charly Manson in his mask, left the ring in his mask, and took of his mask just before he got to the entrance (so he could say he didn’t wear his mask the whole time.)

CMLL (TUE) 04/14 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) Quazar b Hierro
2) Angel del Mal b Idolo
3) Rey Trueno b Nube Roja
4) Leon Blanco b Asesino Negro
5) Satanico b Metal Blanco
6) Metro & Stuka Jr. b Misterioso II & Shigeo Okumura
7) Atlantis & Mr. Niebla b Hector Garza & Shocker

Atlantis pinned Shocker with his feet on the ropes. Satanico stripped Metal Blanco of his mask for the pin.

Ovaciones also has an interview with Psicosis and Histeria, touching on their AAA departure and focusing on a Ruleta de la Muerte show they’re running on 04/30. Not a full lineup, but it’s heavy on recent AAA departures.

Juvi’s press confrence doesn’t read like he said much new; he did show offical papers showing he was filing a lawsuit against Jack and Konnna, but not AAA. Haven’t heard much about it outside of SuperLuchas, but maybe it’s all over TV and I don’t know.

Oriental talks about his rough childhood. The Morenos did not have it easy.

Rosa Negra will be out three weeks, recovering from knee and elbow injuries.

Want to see a really dark video of Cibernetico pushing a reporter for asking too many questions? Why were they taping that, anyway? Why did they have many many photos ready to take when the shove happened? Hmm.

Las Vegas Weekly has a pretty good interview with Super Crazy, who’s wrestling Super Parka as part of a show there on Sunday.

Mistico got his handspring on a walk of fame, and talked a couple of stories – he wouldn’t do Solo Por Muertes (because kids are his biggest fans) and he sides with Juvi over Konnan.

Atlantis is a Chivas fan.

Santiago Times covers the big Chile show of the year.

LuchaWorld points to a video Rey Misterio vs Juvi, back when people cared more about Juvi’s wrestling.

Not going to be around until this evening, so feel free to drag lineups over to the comments.

  1. After reading the ArMex results here, I was excited about Dos, and even more excited about the possibility of Shocker vs. Dos in a stip down the road. Then I went to Ocampo’s site, and saw Dos’ new look.

  2. @LLL: Don’t hate him just because of the body paint. Wait until you see him try to play to the crowd as rudo to decide that you hate the idea.

  3. Mistico wouldnt do solo para mujeres because he is ugly as shit and he is right kids are his fans, and in arena mexico probally his only fans

  4. @LLL: That is one ugly look for Dos Jr. The paint job is worse than Gronda. At least Gronda’s look matched his gear. I have warmed up to the idea of Dos Jr. as a rudo. As a tecnico, he was really bland, so maybe a switch to the other side will give us a chance to see if he has any personality.

  5. @Terry jr: NICE!

Sounds like a fun show last night. Alan survived at the expense of Pierrothito!:o I don’t mind Dos Jr.’s new look. A little too late though as the period where every CMLL guy painted their body was in late 2006/early 2007. Now the tights shirts are in.

  6. Veo TV today aired the top 4 from the Sunday Coliseo show on 3/11/07. That includes one originally unaired women’s match. *yawn*

We need them to show more unaired Friday matches – not Sunday shows!

  7. Dorada had an AWESOME simple innovative spot on CMLL TV today. Felino and Virus really fixed whatever was wrong with him. He also did a CRAZY dive!

    C3 is airing top 4.

New lineups went up on cmll.com but Boston/Montreal is starting!

  8. Dark Angel is leaving a promotion the way you should, by putting over others who will be sticking around. Hopefully this leaves her on good terms with CMLL and means that there isn’t any harm to whatever the relationship is between CMLL and TNA these days.

Next Tuesday looks fun. We get Dorada and Damien one week after complaining about it never happening in Arena Mexico anymore and los Romanos in a match that should make tv.

  9. These talent exchanges would work out if CMLL guys only worked with each other in the US. Kind of like Mistico is doing in Japan against midcarders who can work with him.

But Russo is in charge, and he hates luchadors for some reason. Strange too, b/c he comes from such a liberal part of the country, where you’d think he’d be more open-minded and progressive.

  10. I don’t think TNA sending anyone back to CMLL would qualify as a “talent exchange”.

  11. @Rob: LOL. I’m going to Lockdown too. TNA would benefit from working with CMLL, and CMLL would benefit from getting Kurt Angle, LAX, and a few others at ArMex at times.

So Mistico challenged Casas to a hair vs. mask match on LATV tonight. I think that could happen at the competition ArMex vs. WWE at Palacio show.

  12. You’re going to Lockdown Keith? Don’t you live in Tampa? Do you live in a Bus or something?

I’ll put 5 bucks on TNA putting Sara under a mask as Raisha Saeed’s sister or maybe replace Melissa with her. Either way they won’t use her right cause she’s actually good and we all know TNA is the place where good wrestlers go to die.

  13. @Tim: LLL has family up north, so it’s convenient to attend Lockdown. LLL does not live in a bus, but refuses to fly(thus ending years of attending Lucha shows in Mexico), so driving is the primary means of transportation.

  14. Today’s Veo TV was the top 4 from 3/25/07. All aired originally. Bad trend developing here.

  15. AAA is airing the Neza taping down here today. Maybe Las Vegas wasn’t actually taped?

  16. @Alan: That makes more sense – they were way too behind if Las Vegas was taped, and AAA never did their usual results update.

It’s still odd AAA mentioned in on their site as an AAA taping. Either AAA communicated to the website people that it was a taping, or the website people got it from the here or the newsletters.

  17. Maybe they just recorded a generic show that they can use as filler later (much like was assumed with last year’s expo show).

  18. So I am watching AAA and when did Escoria turn into a Charly Manson clone? He has the look down to a tee almost.
