03/21-22 Lucha Times

Box.

AAA-US: Abismo vs Abyss, Parka vs King, Charly in the main event.

52MX: Trios title match, and probably Tuareg vs Coliseo Tag champs & Fabian.

LATV: Women’s trios, minis lightning match, and main eventer Angel Azteca Jr.

CMLL: You’ve got me. They saved last week’s main event to air this week, but it kinda has Mr. Corleone. If this was a promotion outside of Mexico, I’d say no way they’d ever air that match. It’s probably airing here. Otherwise, top 4 from Sunday’s show is divvied up between the two MVS shows, and there’s nothing less unaired but openers. Repeats?

AAA-MEX: First half of Rey de Reyes. I’m guessing it’s the tournament and the hair match, but not sure.

C3: Top 4 from Tuesday.

03/18: Sinola, Monterrey, Mexico

CMLL

AAA (SAT) 03/14 Domo del Mar, Ciudad del Carmen [Desde Ringside]
3) Cadaver I, Cadaver Jr., Capitan Furia b el Ángel, Laredo Kid, Super Mega
4) Gronda II, Super Porky, Torbellino b Espectro de Ultratumba, Espiritu, Picudo
5) La Parka Jr. & Octagón b Electro Shock & Konnan [MEX TAG]

Konnan ordered the champs second (Gronda) to the back and pretty much had Captian Furia wrestle for him. Rudos took the first, lost the second and third.

indy (SUN) 03/15 Wild West, El Paso [albert cerda]
1) Octopia & Sublime b Gecko & Netza
2) Darko & Principe RBD b Astro Man & Fuego
3) Peluchin I & Peluchin II b Espectro 3 & Scorpio Jr.
4) Baby Solis, Maquina 45 jr., Nacho Libre b Bestia, Bestia I, Muneco Infernal
5) Felino & Villano V b Crazy Boy 32 & Ultimo Guerrero

V5 snuck in a foul on UG, which seems to be the finish they’re doing eveywhere. This group is running a show this week with Halloween and Damian.

AAA (MON) 03/16 Cancha German Evers, Mazatlan, Sinaloa [Noroeste]
1) Encapuchando, Mario Mora, Terremoto King Jr. b Linterna Verde, Tygon, Wilbert
2) Kempo Dragon & Relampago DQ Cuervo & Escoria
3) Extreme Tiger & TJ Xtreme b Joe Lider & Nicho el Millionario
4) Charly Manson & Super Fly b Electro Shock & Ozz
5) Black Abyss, Konnan, Silver King, Zorro b Abismo Negro, Mesias, Relampago

Kempo Dragon turned on Relampago and joined the Foreign Legion (locally) in the second match. Electroshock ran out and gave Relampago a martinete. This seems unnecessary, but also turned out to be dumb. Kempo Dragon tried to help Lider & Nicho in the third match (a bloody hardcore match), but failed. Relampago shrugged off being piledrived and strechered out in two matches, running on to attack Electroshock and help Charly & Super Fly win, then running in again during the main event to help out the tenicos after Silver King turned on them, only to be pinned again. That’s about three shows of angles in an hour and half.

indy (TUE) 03/17 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]

Sagrado replaced Marco, as CMLL.hi5 had said. DQ in the third match was for Blanca hitting Tigre Hispano. Given what’s usual for a Tuesday show, poor sounds quite vacant.

Televisa Deportes previews the AAA cruiserweight tournament by pointing out all the other (worthless) titles still around. Not getting hyped for this. They probably should’ve had Mini Charly defend his title at least once before creating another one. This article thinks the Atomicos titles are still with Chessman and the Psycho Circus and the national middleweight title still matters.

El Siglo de Torreon talks to Pirata Morgan, who says wrestling today is not as good as it used to be (as everyone over 35 says.) Pirata explains he’s allowed to work independent shows in places where there’s no regular AAA shows.

Laverdad has an interview with Marinero Acosta Jr. of Córdoba.

The weekly NotiVer talking about the show at Gimnasio Bimbo rips DTU for their low turnout and not paying the place they were to hold their press conference. FWIW, DTU says they’re running Monterrey next, and RFC already has the card up, though the building seems to be unlisted for the moment.

A movie about The Fighting Cholitas has been airing at film festivals and will be on IFC next Wednesday at 1. Gotta DVR that.

Guerreros del Ring #182 has Ultimo Guerrero & Villano V on the cover, though I’d buy it for the Olimpico interview.

WrestlingObserver has their AAA recap.
