01/03-01/04 Lucha Times

My schedule has changed. I don’t know quite know what it is right now. We’ll figure it out together.

box

FSE-US: No show this week or next week, due to Fox Sports covering the Interliga tournament. (Which isn’t totally it – they could cut out one rerun and find a spot for it, but it’s the excuse.)

Seeing as this show seems to be setting up a Princesa Blanca vs Marecla title match, I don’t think anyone (but possibly me*) will care as much about missing that as much as Sombra/Ephesto. But missing out on the Lightning matches will be a disappointment.

52MX: is the show you should be annoyed about seeing, because the minis feud is tracking over here, and no one’s going to see the cage match (which may not actually be good, but never mind) unless someone bails us out. Plus, Averno & Mephisto uncovered.

AAA-US: Part 1 of GdT brings you the mixed tag match, DMEX vs Sect, Latin vs Konnan and the cage match.

AAA-MEX: They aired a new taping last week, so that should carry over to this week, with a Parka/Latin/Mesias vs Electro/Konnan/Zorro main event. Find out if the new Espectro is any good.

CMLL: Holiday layover grab bag.

FSE-MEX: More women’s Trio, Skandalo/Angel and a rare Lizmark Jr. sighting.

C3: Whatever’s happening right now. They’re planning on running this day of the week’s Fan Appreciation show next week, but there doesn’t seem to be an obvious match set up so far.

* – this is only for the “can Marcela be be great enough to get a + match out of Blanca?” factor

  1. Couldn’t they have at least given Marcela the CMLL Women’s Title before the ruda turn? Dark Angel will never win anything at this point.

  2. I don’t get FSE, but my buddy does, and after getting preempted by soccer for a couple weeks, it record and we sat down and watched it.

I can’t believe I was willing to shell out the extra fifteen bucks a month for the package with the channel. Is it normally this lame? We had a women’s trios match, a boring non-title, non-hair, non-mask match with two guys (I didn’t know that was even allowed in Mexico), and a lame trios match with a very gay guy. I was disappointed. So disappointed, that I watched AWA on ESPN Classics. Boy, did Eric Bischoff have a goofy hairstyle back in 1990… Also, the guy doing commentary with Lee Marshall moved from doing AWA to calling Dallas Stars hockey games here.

But yay, Guerra de Titanes this week!

  3. Due to the NFL Playoffs there isn’t a new CMLL TV show on Saturday. It’ll air 11am – 1pm on Sunday (Mexico time) – still on Galavision.
