US: 01/03, 01/10

Order of escape in the cage match was

  • Pirata Morgan
  • Electroshock
  • Super Fly (!)
  • Super Porky

That left Brazo, Elegido and Guapito. Guapito turned on Brazo and Elegido helped him escape. That may be funny for a match, but nothing good can come of it.

Before the title match, Chessman tried to recruit Charly again and got turned down. Legion ran in to help Zorro, La Parka and Vampiro (both prior rivals of Mesias who have absolutely no reason to personally like him) ran them off and Mesias won.  All the tecnicos hugged after, and Mesias apologized for all the mean things he’d done while in Mexico. Excuse me while I go puke.

Before the show started, Vampiro un-fired the Stones and Pepe Casas, who were fired on the previous (or the one before that?) taping. This doesn’t seem to have meant much for the Stones, but Pepe Casas ran in on the Latin Lover/Konnan match. Hijo de Tirantes was about to give the match to Konnan again, so Latin KOed him and Konnan, then Vampiro sent Pepe Casas out to count the pin.

El Padrino is the new name of Italian Killer, a Mesias sized guy who was on the spot shows last year, broke his leg badly, was out for a long time, and then started turning up again.

DGM did win over the Dark Family, but got completely destroyed after the match by the Legion. X-Pac was busted open, Rocky was tied in the ropes, and Alex was put thru a table.

The tag team title match was a double count out, a lame finish for a major show to start with, but one that doesn’t make sense when all rules are typically ignored in these tag team title matches. AAA says this feud may go on, which sounds not promising.

Mixed tag wasn’t on any announced card. Oriental got Fabi with a hard powerbomb, causing her to need medical help. After the match was over, Billy “revived Fabi” (CPR?), Fabi slapped Billy, Billy beat up Fabi (maybe now you won’t cheer for him) and Gran Apache beat up Billy.

  1. I knew it. Mesias is AAA’s Cena now. Especially with the fans thing. I can’t wait to see the video of this; serious vomiting going on. Maybe Zorro will defect or something now that the new guy is around. Didn’t Zorro like want to win one on one?

  2. Now Konnan has gone and ruined the Apache angle too? The only logical thing at this point was to have Billy team with the Apaches and instead we get ANOTHER year of them feuding over something stupid like Billy giving his wife CPR. If she didn’t want him to give her CPR I’d sure like to know how she was okay with being impregnated by him.

There is so little left to like about this promotion it’s sad.

  3. “Mesias beat Zorro with help from La Parka Jr. and Vampiro, they all hugged after, and Mesias apologized for all the mean things he’d done while in Mexico. Excuse me while I go puke.”

I’ll go you one better, I’m getting diabetes just reading this.

  4. Is Mesias the new AAA Champion, or was this a Tournament Match? :( Is it so wrong, that I’m so confused?

  5. Until the next taping where Konnan strips him, Roldan overrides Konnan, the board of directors overrules Roldan but Konnan’s new CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE overrules the board of directors and finally Pena’s sister says she runs AAA and holds the title up till Rey De Reyes when Mesias/Zorro can have a rematch in a cage to make sure there is interference.

  6. First off here are the top two matches on the 12/17 taping in Xalapa.

12/17 – Arena Xalapa (TV taping)
    1. ?
    2. ??
    3. ???
    4. ????
    5. Chessman vs. Zorro
    6. El Mesias/La Parka Jr./Luchador Sorpresa vs. Electroshock/Konnan/Luchador Sorpresa

Then the local AAA promoter in Mazatlan Vicente Martinez showed a letter to the local press today sent to him by Konnan demanding that he not book any exoticos on his shows because AAA doesn’t approve of them. It also listed the Stones but that has changed over the weekend.

  7. LOL @ Rob! That actually sounds like something Konnan would do, but I think he would put the title on himself, so he could really become Triple H! :)

  8. LaWagnermania posted clips from this show. As expected it seems Konnan and the legion interfered in every match but the first and main. Match 2 and 3 looked pretty good, Especially 2 as it went into the audience and Jack Evans or Teddy did a Crazy boy type moonsalt off one of the light fixtures.

Oh and when did Hijo De Tirantes turn rudo? I know Konnan kept making him give victories to the Legion but I didn’t know he did it willingly?
