possible Perros del Mal Debut Show Lineup (and related news)

In today’s Ovaciones, Perro Aguayo Jr. announces his promotion will debut on 12/07 in Sala de Arams de Ciudad Deportiva. This makes me inclined to trust dr_landru’s post on el Martiente, where he posts a lineup announced for that date:

PERRO (SUN) 12/07 Sala de Armas de Ciudad Deportiva
1) Juventud Guerrera & Super Crazy vs Damián 666 & Mr. Águila
2) Cibernetico, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park vs Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr., Latin Lover

Not only do we have Cibernetico involved – Cibernetico appeared on La Oreja to confirm his involvement in his group – and blame Konnan and Vampiro for ruining AAA to the point where he felt he had to leave – but Dos is interesting too. There’s no CMLL involvement here, but Wagner and Park are here because they’re independent. Is Dos an independent guy? You think that would’ve come out with the never ending contract stuff, but it sure would explain why he’s on the main event no-program treadmill. No other CMLL wrestlers are involved; I don’t know if that confirms anything about a bad breakup, because that was the idea all along.

With that main event, this show is selling out. This is a building where AAA tapes TV, so it should be a pretty decent crowd.

Future shows announced (from the same post)
12/15: Toluca
12/16: Monterrey
12/17: Rodeo Santa Fe
12/18: Ecatepec

That’s a pretty ambitious schedule, running four straight shows right away. There’s no telling who will work those shows.

And past that? The other story from La Oreja was Santo and Perro Jr. challenging each other. The end result was a teased Perro Jr. vs El Hijo del Santo mask vs hair match as the main event of the Santo Sr. memorial show next Feb 5. This isn’t the first time this week they’ve done that tease; it’s the cover of Luchas 2000 #446. I think the match is realistic possibility, but we’ll know a lot more about it’s chances after Perro’s promotion starts and we see how well it does..

  1. Depending on which side is babyface, and shot in the dark here it’d Dos, Latin and Wagner Jr., D-Wag is gonna turn on his partners.

  2. Wait I thought the debut was going to be 11/30 in Acolman (sp.?)? Are we already pushing back dates and changing locations?

  3. Is Latin Lover an independent or is he under AAA contract? If he is under AAA contract then that makes the legitimacy of Cibernetico leaving AAA that much more questionable.

Real of fake I love how Cibernetico is openly saying that Konnan is ruining AAA. That’s something that needs to be said. I remember one promo he did last year when he refered to Konnan as the “cancer de lucha libre.” ha ha ha

  4. I believe he’s independent. He’s done non AAA independent shows in the past.

Ciber can say Konnan is a cancer all he wants, Konnan isn’t going anywhere for a while.

  5. Meltzer is saying Ciber has really left, even upsetting his clique on the way out. I find it kind of suspicious that Sergio Mayer is involved in both promotions.

  6. Also from Meltzer, they are apparently trying to sell a package deal with promoters with a main event of Ciber/Wagner vs. Aguayo/Damian for a $14,000 fee plus four hotel rooms and four plane tickets, which sounds insane, especially with the business being the way it is right now.

  7. I hope footage of the shows make the internet or be made for dvd.

Perro is a TV star and should be on television same with Latin Lover(which am glad to see in AAA) and Santo. I hope Konnan/AAA brings in Perro in the future which is a strong possibility at this point.
