10/27: Dos Caras Jr., GDL

CMLL
CMLL

Dos Caras Jr. tells MT that he will be finishing up with CMLL in Decemeber and starting with WWE in January. (Dos notes this is consistent with his last promise of sticking it out thru ’08.) Dos says there are still details to be resolved, but this time it’s not “agree on money” and is more like “take a few medical tests to be cleared by state commissions.” Since he’s feuding with Wagner in GDL anyway (see below), Dos would like to unify the CMLL and UWA Heavyweight Titles before he goes. Dos does not expect big things to be handed to him upon starting with WWE but hopes to earn it from their fans.

CMLL (SUN) 10/26 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [MT]
1) Plata & Quazar b Azazel & Relampago Azul
2) Samurai & Thunder Boy b Milenio & Neon
3) el Gallo, Hijo del Fantasma, Metal Blanco b Averno, Infierno, Mephisto
4) Olímpico & Último Guerrero b La Sombra & Metalik [torneo Corona, final]
5) Atlantis b Dos Caras Jr., Dr. Wagner Jr.

MT had the full results for once, which is nice. Sounds like the main event was worked as a three way (as opposed to three separate singles matches) and Dos had it won, but Atlantis cheated to take the pinfall. After the match, Wagner and Dos continued to have issues and will meet in a singles match next week.

For his part, RFC says Sicodelico Jr. did another tryout match on 10/20 and it sounds like he’s headed to developmental.

Arena Coliseo Monterrey is back to running AAA shows, starting 11/02. They left in May, and they left in February. And a few times before then.

indy (FRI) 11/07 Auditorio de Tijuana [Mr_alzhareb @ SML]
1) Maquiavelico & Zaroc vs Draogn Chino & Zeus
2) Pandillero I, Pandillero II, Wama vs Diamantina, Silver Star, Star Boy
3) Inferno, Principe Arandu, TJ Boy vs Celestial, Extassis, Rubi Gradenia
4) El Fantasma & Fantasma Jr. vs Universo 2000 & Universo 2000 Jr. and Hijo de Rey Misterio & Rey Misterio

Benefit show for a children’s hospital.

  1. RFC is saying AAA will keep doing shows in Soli, which sounds pretty odd, I doubt business would be up in that dead territory for having two simultaneous shows (Soli isn’t that far from ACM at all) unless they’re indeed splitting the company between Roldan and Konnan, which would be an even worse move as they would be competing against themselves and it would make sense to have the same guys in both places to cut expenses.

It would be fine for them if they build it as a territory, with a show in Saltillo and/or Torreon on Saturdays, shows in Mty Sundays, and Nvo Laredo on Mondays, then the following week, having Monclova instead of Torreon, or Madero. Multimedios is available in all those places.

  2. And if we could have a moment of silence in honor of Ultimo Dragoncito losing the mask he’s had for 16 years now…

  3. Don’t know where to put this so I’ll just put it here. Apparently, Volador Jr. wrestled on tonight’s TNA tapings. He teamed with New Japan’s Hiroshi Tanahashi and lost a tag match to Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin. The match is set to air on this week’s iMPACT tv show.

  4. Yep, Cesar posted the news yesterday on the ByL forum but it was down all day so I think Cubs missed it. Volador is also working tomorrow’s tapings. SHOCKINGLY CMLL must have known about this and didn’t double book him for Puebla or Arena Mexico. I know… it’s hard to believe but it’s true.

  5. @Kyle: Actually, it went 3:50 according to New Japan’s site and Volador was the one who took the pin.
