2008 AAA TV Taping
Projected Air Date (#852)
Mexico: 09/07
US: 09/27

Mesias ran out for no other reason but to cause Chessman to accidentally spear Cibernetico, and so those two fought again. Silver King can’t win; something tells me if he was actually Dr. Wagner, he’d be doing a little bit better. The Hell Brothers are no more (for the second or third time this PPV cycle), but I guess the idea they’re going with now is Chessman and Cibernetico are being manipulated by the Legion and Mesias and don’t know it.

Ozz pinned Elegido for the win. I guess Mascara Divina’s big push is not taking the fall? Vampiro and Mesias fought off into the crowd and had to be separated by security. It sounds like the stip for the VdE match will be “no draws”.

Aero beat Jack again, but this time it was by DQ after excessive violence and Teddy and Eletroshock interfering. Both Aero Star and Super Fly were beat up by the Legion duo after the match, including Jack going after Aerostar’s mask. That sounds like the setup to a six man tag for VdE, but they rarely actually set up trios matches. (In my mind, the third tecnico would be either be Laredo Kid or Gronda. You know, they’re a lot alike.)

Luchalibreaaa.com is anti-Billy Boy, not posting the results again. I believe Gran Apache is the webmaster. He’s a talented man.

Mini Abismo Negro moves on, as expected.

  1. “Parque de Beis-Bol La Junta” Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas—

Prices were anniversaryesques, 600, 500, 400 first rows 200 general ringside, 100 bleachers. Estadium is said to hold 5000 (adults), bleachers next to the fields were not used, rest of it had like 80%, ringise was like 95% with only the last row not used but many people waling around so who knows, probably in the 2500-3000 range.

    · There was an extra match with locals, I’ll see if I can remember more later, tecs won and this was a one fall only, rest save for the threee way dance was 2 out of 3.

1.- Fabi Apache & Sexy Star b. Cinthia Moreno & La Diabolica

2.- Aerostar, Super Fly & Baby Rap b Tigre Cota, Tito Santana & Rio Bravo

3.- Elegido, Hombre sin Miedo & Silver King DQ Ozz, Scoria & Antifaz – Challenges were issued for some bogus title Antifaz holds.

4.- Teddy Hart & Jack Evans b. Nicho & Joe Lider b. Halloween & Xtreme Tiger – HF2 won, losers conintinued on another fall ending with Lider pinning Tiger and setting up a match for the Campeonato (which one? I guess AAA’s tag extremo – wasn’t it just a plain old tag title?)

5.- Cibernetico & Mesias b Vampiro Canadiense & Konnan (RI) – Zorro was the only no show of the night, no explanation was given.

6.- Chessman b. Electro Shock (hair) – You can put that in the ‘wiki!

    More, later.

  2. Whys is it that every AAA match is announced as having no time limit except Vampiro and Messias’s matches?????????????

  3. If you think that’s bad, just wait till the Verano match ends in a no-contest and they have a rematch in a “no no-contests” match. Then a falls count anywhere match. Then a cage match. Then a hell in the cell match. Of course this is assuming Vamp lasts that long in AAA.

I wonder when Vamp will do his first “job” for a young guy to prove he’s a “team player”…

  4. BTW, yes, I will be replying to everything anyone posts today since I’m doing office work for 2 weeks and am bored shitless.

  5. @Rob: Don’t you see how he’s putting the Sect over by letting them fight him in the course of a wrestling match? A fantastic generous man.

  6. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeez, no wonder Toxico is so awesome – Chessman and Apache helped train him!

And he’s left AAA along with Head Hunter. Two other guys who probably can’t “work” according to Vamp and aren’t American enough for the bookers.

  7. @Rob: I’m surprised the FMW style, for those who remember explosive barbedwire or Exploding cage death matches, was not even thought of.

  8. In other random news since I have nothing to do but keep refreshing hoping someone will comment…

Lover_ice says he/she taped the CMLL PPV and has other stuff to post first but it will go up.

  9. I think lover_ice is a he, but after La Mistica’s cryinggameesque twist, is hard to tell. Well, now I’ll be able to bash CMLL for their buildup, turnaround AND matches… hehehe, oh well, maybe there was some good in there…

  10. Whatever happened to LaMistica anyways? She went wherever what’s his name went… guy who always used to comment here and sent me some mags…

  11. La Mistica turned out to be a guy named Adam, the other guy is Nick from Indiana, he returned briefly, then went away again.

  12. There was a mano a mano, so there were not really that many more guys sent, I think they always have the top 2 with CMLL guys and maybe a two or three guys in the especial.

  13. Gotta wonder if TVC is going to tape Puebla because they want to use the footage to replace Naucalpan, or if it’s in addition to Naucalpan on their network.

This could end up on TuVision in Houston, San Francisco and LA if it replaces IWRG.

  14. They’ve definitely been sending more guys to Puebla. Just look at a random June or July card and compare it to this week and last week.

  15. CMLL (MON) 10/08 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
    1) Toro Bill & Toro Bill Jr. b Legionario & SWAT
    2) Blade, Negro Navarro, Siki Osama Jr. b Batman, Centella de Oro, Tigre Rojo
    3) La Mascara, Mascara Purpura, Stuka Jr. b Euforia, Nosferatu, Satanico
    4) Blue Panther, Sagrado, Volador Jr. b Sangre Azteca, Toscano, Universo 2000
    5) Atlantis, Black Warrior, Ultimo Guerrero b Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero, Shocker

Went way back at random, Tercera has full CMLL lineup.

  16. This reminds me of something that happened last year. Fox Sports leaving MVS and going with TVC for all production in Mexico. CMLL survived on Fox, as Fox wants CMLL, and there was no other content provider at the time. Now there may be, with TVC in the picture. TVC was definitely in the running to get the Tuesday Coliseo(now ArMex), but Cadena Tres got it.

  17. Random June show:

    CMLL (MON) 06/16 Arena Puebla
    1) Sensei & Trueno vs Calígula & Méssala
    2) Apocalipsis, Hooligan, Loco Max vs Los Payasos
    3) Centella de Oro, La Máscara, Máscara Púrpura vs Policeman, Shigeo Okumura, Skandalo
    4) Atlantis, Mr. Niebla, Olímpico vs Alex Koslov, Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone
    5) Héctor Garza, Místico, Shocker vs Averno, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mephisto

Only two locals (b/c they were feuding) + the clowns.

  18. Nevermind, here it is:

CIBERNETICO – SÚPER FLY – LA PARKA

    VS

KENZO SUZUKY – ELECTRO SHOCK -LUCHADOR SOPRESA

VAMPIRO CANADIENSE – ELEGIDO – ALAN STONE

    VS

MESIAS – DARK CUERVO – DARK OZZ

    TEDDY HART – JACK EVANS

    VS

    HALLOWEEN – XTREME TIGER

OCTAGONCITO – MASCARITA SAGRADA – MINI CHARLY MANSON

    VS

MINI ABISMO NEGRO – MINI HISTERIA – MINI KENZO SUZUKI

FABY APACHE – APACHE – MARY APACHE

    VS

CINTHIA MORENO – ORIENTAL – HECHICERA

GATO EVEREADY – BILLY BOY – ARGENIS

    VS

MR. CONDOR – GALLEGO – ANGEL MORTAL

Seems like a generic show with matches we’ve seen before. Just killing the final TV show before Verano…

  19. Luchador Cerveza… I mean, Sorpresa, HAS TO BE Chessman, right?

Couldn’t they find anyone better than Hechicera? I mean, Tiffany seems to be teasing her return, but last night there were La Diabolica and even a Sexi Star would be a step in the right direction.
