AAA MARQUEZ (SAT) 07/26 Los Angels Sports Arena
1) Fabi Apache & Pimpinela Escarlata vs Escoria & Mari Apache
2) Mascarita Sagrada 2007 & Octagoncito vs Mini Abismo Negro & Mini Charly Manson
3) Aerostar, Crazy Boy, Super Fly vs Decnnis, Histeria, Psicosis
4) Alan Stone, Octagón, Super Porky vs Cuervo, Mesias, Ozz
5) Chessman, Cibernetico, La Parka Jr. vs a replacement for Zorro, Electro Shock, Kenzo Suzuki

I like how Crazy Boy is just tossed in with the Air Force. Konnan was right, AAA can’t tell these guys apart. Konnan’s also listed to appear in really tiny letters, and is the most likely Zorro replacement.

Ticketmaster says July 26 in San Diego and July 27 in LA. So do the posters San Jose and Los Angeles. The promoter’s event page lists both shows a day later, and I just presume that’s wrong.

Note the posters both list give aways for the first 5,000 kids under 10 who show up. They must expect quite a bit. None of this is mentioned on AAA’s current website, which has probably seen it’s last update.

Ovaciones says the gymnastics Mistico will be announcing at the Olympicos is the rhythmic gymnastics. You know, the thing with the ribbons and the balls and the overwhelming feeling that if they couldn’t easily hold it in the same place they hold 30 other events, there’s no way it’d be an Olympic sport. This makes much sense – stunt cast the announcing for the sport no one could care about. Ovaciones says the other event Mistico is calling is diving, not swimming. The article also mention that Mistico in in talks for a 3 movie deal.

Averno talks briefly about representing CMLL in TNA this weekend. No mention of Volador, who remains unconfirmed. It’s pretty clear from Rey and UG’s comments that they don’t watch the show when they’re not there. Do you think TNA’s sent the CMLL crew some DVDs or something along those lines? I ask because one of the guys is probably going to get to Houston on Saturday night or Sunday morning, and be informed “you’re in a match where you have to climb this one thing, climb across this wire, and then grab this big X in the middle” and whoever it is really could probably use the warning.

Pierroth is on the CMLL Spain tour, which means he won’t be around on August 15 to have his retirement match. Pierroth says he can’t have it in September, because he doesn’t want his party to intefere with the anniversary show, so it’ll happen sometime in October or November.

Hector Garza says he and Mistico are ready for the tag title match, but hope luck is on their side. He’s high on the TNA guys coming in for the July 25th show.

  1. “AAA Marquez”? Now that’s funny. I clicked the San Diego Sports Arena link and I got the San Jose show, so they must’ve fixed it. Marquez does do a few shows a year at SD Sports Arena, so I’m sure he’ll go there if the first shows are successful.

A smart promoter uses his tv to promote shows. I wonder how much publicity we’ll see during the weekly AAA broadcasts? Or on other wrestling shows like IWRG or WWE on Telemundo?

Why is Meltzer so down on ArMex? There’s no indication business is bad. He should’ve gone to shows in 1995 and 1997 like I did, and compare it to today, and he’d see it’s not so bad.

  2. i wonder if any cmll guys will be in orlando next week. i’m going to the wednesday taping, and FCW on Thursday, if they ever give out the address of the FCW arena.

In response to my growing waistline, I’m going back to my peanut butter and lettuce sandwich diet. it’s the best sandwich you can eat. great for workers on the road too.

  3. @luchalibrelive!: What is… Ramstein’s gimmick on the auto show tonight?

Framistan = When the DVDVR crew get sick of a word/saying such as “workrate” they automatically replace it so when someone said workrate it turns into something like “Mickie Knuckles is awesome.” We just thought you wrote something that Cubs disapproved of (perhaps a love for Elegido?) and instead some random comment about food got inserted.

  4. Well, I would not say “Love” of Elegido, but he is valuable even though he does not appeal to the demo that posts here or on byl, etc…….. Sure, I think Elegido should stay in AAA, but I won’t get into a long thread about it like Daniel will over Latin Lover.
