So, a couple weekends ago, Henrik was suggesting that Neutron was getting jobbed on TV appears and it occurred to me that I have a giant database that can prove or disprove this.
Long story short, here’s the list of the wrestlers with the most CMLL DF matches which haven’t aired since CadenaTres started. Openers are ignored, because they’re not expected to air. No PPVs either.

Bracito De Oro even making that list pisses me off though not as much as Mentallo being higher than Caligula and Messala.
Out of those first 10 guys that don’t make TV, excluding Molotov, they all seem to always be working together so there has to be something to that. Astro Boy/Tigre Blanco would probably be higher if C3 had not came along.
Virus is a name that surprises me as being so high on the list. I guess all those Arena Mex segundas w/ the Infernales just blend together.
Mistico being so low isn’t much of a surprise since he has better places to be most of the time than Arena Coliseo or a Tuesday at Arena Mexico.
Actually… Negro Casas not being in the top 3 shocks me. It seems like he’s around for EVERY SHOW besides the rare Friday he takes off.
There you have it, Neutron with 3 Tv appearances in total since November(actually 2 matches and a 30 second sequence – fuck you Loco Max!)
Proportionally, when you compare it to the actual number of appearances in total, i would put money on Neutron being top. As the stats show, Metalico and Hooligan get screwed more by TV, but they also get far more bookings so they’re still regulars on TV.
Man Cadena Tres has been on for approximately 6 months now. So between the 4 shows (11 matches per week), that’s around 286 matches, of which Neutron has featured in all of 3. Fuck, Fabian has probably equalled that in a single weekend of TV!
I’m focussing on Neutron here but the same applies to all the other fun undercarders – Los Romanos, Sombra, Guillereros, Angel Azteca, Sensei etc.
But it’s also been the randomness of Neutron’s missed tv spots over the past year that’s bugged me. For example, one that springs to mind right away was last year where the main show was always Fri top 2 and Sunday segunda, with the Fri segunda airing on the b-show, leaving the Fri tercera as the dead spot. Except, after a dozen or more weeks of this pattern, Neutron finally made Fri segunda for once (and it looked an awesome match, bearing in mind it was Fri and they would obviously be upping their game – i think it was Neutron/Super Nova/Metalico V the usual Pandilla/rebeldes crew)…and sure enough, they randomly switched the b-show to air the Fri tercera instead…. THEN CHANGED IT BACK TO NORMAL THE FOLLOWING WEEK!!!
And in another instance around October last year, FSE always airs 2 of the Sunday Coliseo top 3, and Neutron made a rare appearance in the tercera. So it goes without saying that for that week, they decided to miss out the tercera and go down and air the women’s segunda – even though it had already aired on the regular show!! And once again, things were back to normal the following week. Granted, i’m sure that match looked pretty weak with Skandalo, Fabian and Leono also involved, but the point still applies.
Outwith a mini’s match a month or so ago and the very odd week where a 3hr main show leaves the b-shows with nothing else to air but the 4 sunday coliseo matches, i believe that was the only occasion such a thing has happened.
In addition, if you go back to Tuesday coliseo shows before the days of C3 (pre-Nov 07), Neutron was at least semi-regular. Not a weekly staple, but he had his fair share of bookings, but they have now stopped.
For the pitiful amount of bookings Neutron actually gets, missing so much TV and constantly only being booked on Sunday segunda dead spots is way more than an unfortunate coincidence imo.
