This should be all about Metal and Toscano, except they’re in separate matches. Maybe they won’t be by the end? Maybe they’re going to set up Hector/Mistico issues? Perhaps they’re just taking a week off? I dunno. Women’s match should eventually make 52MX and be fun.
Arturo Rivera’s column from earlier in the week made it to the website. He hopes regardless of whomever is working wherever in Monterrey, no one hires Konnan Big. He also implies there was some locker room dispute between Rossy Moreno and Sexy Star before Rossy left AAA.

I guess, to balance getting Mistico and Perro, Neza got a night of a thousand novatos in the other matches. Rudos fouled tecnicos in the third fall.
Puma got eliminated in the third fall by Tiger Kid, but snuck back in to help his partner win.
Cholo can’t even get a win in Neza. It’s own fault here, his team got DQed for excessive violence.
After Luis Cirio used a foul for the win, the tecnicos challenges for the Cirio’s trios belts. Super Man was, in fact, a guy in a old Super Man outfit.
Konnan complained to a gossip site that AAA doesn’t give him a private dressing room, massuese and van with driver, like they do with Cibernetico and Latin Lover. This is just a thin attempt to get AAA talked about by gossip TV people (and it worked, so good for Konnan.)

cubs, I totally agree that Konnan is simply trying to get attention from the media. The stuff he’s saying on the gossip site sounds exactly like what he told Roldan in the ring once when in character.
If anything I think that AAA is probably treating him like a king. I mean they keep going along with his bullshit when he should have been fired a long time ago.
So if true, I’m guessing the Lashley appearance is just a one time deal?
I would guess they have him contracted for just TripleMania but might look for more depending on how things work out and how willing Lashley is to work there. At least that would be sane plan.
Konnan is not perfect but he should not be fired. Konnan does have some value especially with other things behind the scenes besides bringing in foreigners.
Konnan is a great right hand or left hand man. He has tons of great ideas and usually knows what direction he wants to take something. I’ve always said that and still do. What Konnan has never been good at though is leading. He needs someone above him in the food chain who can keep him in check. There is nobody like that in AAA right now.
USAUSA1 and Rob, you guys are defending Konnan saying he had good ideas etc etc. The fact is that AAA was doing a lot better before he decided to show his ugly head again.

Looks like Volador replaced Valiente last night, which is about as good a replacement as you can get at that level outwith maybe Stuka who has showed up in one or two tercera’s.
I always thought Cibernetico was that guy to do that, but apparently I am wrong.

Geez Aero Star was great in that AAA opener. How have they not elevated him to at least Laredo Kid level yet? Hopefully they’re just saving it up.

USAUSA1 Konnan is the EQUIVALENT of Vince Russo back in WCW, and right now AAA is not better than TNA. Three years ago I never thought I’d be saying that but it’s now a reality. AAA is a mess and a joke right now.

I’m sure you get your info from Meltzer and guys like him, but remember that Konnan is buddy buddy with Meltzer and most of Meltzer’s AAA info comes from Konnan, so it will be biased. That’s why Konnan caters to Internet geeks, because he knows that when those geeks (who make up the minority of the fans) post stuff on the net it makes it look like something big.
Furthermore people have been talking about TNA’s alarming drops in live gate/attendance and tv ratings since it began in 2002 and as you can see it’s still going strong.
TNA recent tv rating was a 0.87 and drew 700 in a building that holds 6800 people.
I don’t have AAA numbers but “common sense” just from the television could tell you they still doing pretty well.
USAUSA1 TNA has always had those kinds of TV ratings so that’s not an “alarming drop” as you put it.
You say common sense from TV tells us that AAA is doig well. On tv you see what they want you to see. At Rey de Reyes I’m pretty sure they piped in crowd sounds like WCW used to do. In the opening match it didn’t make sense how the crowd was cheering Zumbido and booing Elegido and then cheered when Elegido pinned Zumbido. That’s a tell tale sign that the image the want to portray on TV is not reflecting reality.

I do agree that Aero Star should be pushed, him and Laredo are insane with some of the high flying spots they do. I’ve said before that Real FuerzA AreA is the future of AAA.
Thank you ConfuSed I thought I was the only one who thought Yuriko was a girl, now I know he is a guy, and I did not know Polvo is gay, makes me wonder about the other exoticos who wrestled for AAA and the ones now (Pimpinella, Cassandro, etc.).
