note: obviously, my accuracy for the MVS shows (CMLL on FSE and CAN52) is going way down if I can no longer get CAN52, and FSE continues on a delay. As long as FSE is tipping off the main events in their show descriptions, I should be able to get that match. I’ll try to get my best to get the rest right, but I probably won’t be half the time.

FSE-US: so I’ve got nothing much to go on here, because there’s no title! Show airs Monday again and probably should have just random undercard matches.

CAN52: should have the Sangre Azteca/Grey Shadow left turn out of the Mistico/UG feud.

AAA-US: Jack Evans makes his AAA debut. Apaches team with opposite partners. Zorro vs Cibernetico in the main event.

————

CMLL-MEX: two hour slot, from 3 to 5. Sombra v Virus in the opener, and continuation of Toscano/Metal and V5/Panther feuds in the other matches.

AAA-MEX: three way cage match, and Vampiro’s return.

FSE-MEX: Perros vs Garza, random tecnicos vs a truly random rudo team (Loco Max, Satanico and Vangelis?)

Cadena3: the kid’s day show going on RIGHT NOW

04/30: Kid’s Day, Puebla

No Tuesday CMLL DF results, because that show is tonight as the annual Kid’s Day show. Even though Kid’s Day falls on a Wednesday, there’s a lot of smaller shows around the country this afternoon and tonight, as this very general article on Kid’s Day notes. This weekend seems busier for small show as well, and the Lucha Libre Expo is starting up as well.

Ovaciones previews tonight’s Arena Mexico by focusing on all the second generation wrestlers. (For some reason, they’re not allowed to mention who Mistico’s father is, just saying ‘a good wrestler.’ I guess no one can remember what his back story is this week.) In Reforma (via Jazzo), La Mascara promises the title match will be a spectacle. That’s the hope, anyway.

CMLL (MON) 04/28 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) Blue Center & Centella de Oro b Espiritu Maligno & Zigma
2) Cerebro Negro, Flecha, Kraken b Fuerza Chicana, Furia Chicana, Policeman
3) Goddess, Luna Mágica, Marcela b Amapola, Hiroka, Medussa
4) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Volador Jr. b Terrible, Texano Jr., Villano V
5) Héctor Garza, Místico, Shocker b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto

Not sure about the main event. Panther yanked V5’s mask in the semimain. Marcela beat Amapola in the women’s match and challenged for another title match. Policeman bled a bunch in the segunda.

Arturo Rivera’s column is all about Sunday’s taping. ESTO has delayed results from that show as well. AAA tapes it second show in four days tonight in Aguascalientes.

ESTO is also late to the party on Wagner’s march. The more I think about it, the less Wagner makes any sense (besides the self promotioning sense.) He’s claiming to stand up for the right to say whatever he wants, but he’s also apologizing if he offended CMLL by what he said? Pick a side.

(Jazzo via Reforma) At the lucha libre expo on Saturday, CMLL will honor Ringo Mendoza, Blue Panther, Atlantis and Damian 666. Ringo’s hit 40 years of being a wrestler (though he hasn’t been wrestling much in a while), Panther is at 30, and Atlantis adn Damian are 25 years in. Ringo says he’s planning a farewell tour for this September, but he doesn’t want to call it a retirement tour because he’ll continue training young wrestlers for CMLL. CMLL will also be spotlight it’s “Class of 75”, young wrestlers who are representing the company (mentioned are Stuka Jr., Flash, Metalico, Bronco III and other high flyers – I think they spent 3 seconds thinking this out so I will too.)

Atlantis is thrilled Pierroth chose him to be involved in Pierroth’s retirement match. He also gives credit to Pierroth for being able to walk away on his own. It seems more there’s a slight push going on to get him to walk away, but I’m willing to pretend whatever to the result.

The lineups for next month’s WWE cards have changed. There’s still three weeks, so they’ll change again.

Notiver posts about the 05/02 AAA TV taping in Veracruz. Nothing new to report, except they’re running Auditorio Carlos Serdan Arechavaleta, which I should’ve guessed.

CMLL SPARTAN (TUE) 04/29 Auditorio Municipal de Tampico [El Dentista, Dinamita @ box y lucha]
1) Baby Lover & Jimmy Torres b Baby Ruiz & Silver Fox
2) Lumino b Iron Boy, Aborto, Rayo Azteca, Chuntaro, King Boy [ciber]
3) Mascarita Dorada & Shockercito b Mr. Aguilita & Pequeño Damian 666
4) Brazo de Platino, Máximo, Oro Negro b Loco Max, Nitro, Sadico
5) Místico & Sagrado b Averno & Mephisto

Brazo de Platino turned on his partners for no reason, but the tecnicos still won. Minis match was very well received.

AAA (MON) 05/05 Arena Cuatro Caminos Nuevo Laredo [RFC]
1) Mini Hombre Sin Miedo & Mini Laredo Kid vs Mini Black Mamba & Mini Rio Bravo
2) Babe Rap, El Brazo, Tigre Cota vs Escorpion Negro, Rio Bravo, Tito Santana II
3) Alan Stone, Hombre Sin Miedo, Laredo Kid vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
4) Charly Manson & Cibernetico vs Mesias & Zorro

04/27 Galli in Hoffman Estates

Grand Sports Arena is another indoor soccer arena with some offices (including for the AFL’s Chicago Rush.) There are a lot higher ceilings than the place I saw the Chela Salazar show and it was a lot bigger room than GALLI’s running in at the hotel. There were probably 120ish there, but the area was big enough to fit in 500 if they had enough bleachers and such. (As it was, they had the right amount of chairs/bleachers for the people who showed, so I think that means good things.)

Show was scheduled to start at 6:00. I rolled in around 6:07 and the show started about 6:10. I’ve got GALLI’s clock figured out and it’s great.

04/29: GDL, Coliseo, Neza, UG responds to Wagner

Vampiro, back in AAA/triplea.com.mx

Additional notes from the 04/27 taping
– Judging from the pictures, Joe Lider might have ended up joining Familia de Tijuana.
– Tecnicos won the semimain, which sounds quick, and then the Legion all beat them down
– Clowns are now at win 113. AAA says the record is 150, which would be about five more TV tapings.

CMLL (SUN) 04/27 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]]
1) Virgo b Thunder Boy
2) Lider & Metatron b Depredador (Gudalajara) & Exterminador
3) Mini Universo 2000 & Pierrothito b Atomo & Shockercito
4) Jeque DQ Metalik
5) Casanova, Leon Blanco, Máximo b Malefico, Máscara Mágica, Toxico
6) Averno & Mephisto b Alex Koslov & Místico

Metalik fouled Jeque in their singles match, which is a bit odd. Pierrothito got away with a foul on Atomo to take the minis match.

CMLL (SUN) 04/27 Arena Coliseo
1) Astro Boy, Rayo Tapatío I, Rayo Tapatío II DQ Carrona, Vaquero, Zayco
2) Sensei, Starman, Trueno b Hooligan, Pólvora, Ramstein
3) Hijo del Fantasma, Sagrado, Valiente b Loco Max, Satánico, Vangelis
4) Grey Shadow b Sangre Azteca
5) Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone, Shocker DQ Damián 666, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Águila

Rudo novatos lost in straight falls when Carrona yanked Astro Boy’s mask. DQ in the main event was for Perro trying to double stomp Garza and instead getting a ref.

CMLL (SUN) 04/27 Arena Neza [KrisZ]
1) Dr. Trauma & Pillo b Ambar & Moto Cross II
2) Black Bird I & Black Bird II b Black Danger & Black Heart
3) Kid Tiger & Rayo Tapatío I b Puma King & Teuton
4) Rosa Negra & Yeska b Luna Mágica & Marcela
5) Calígula, Misterioso II, Ramstein b La Sombra, Sagrado, Volador Jr.

Ramstein replaced Toscano, who showed up after the match in a neck brace, saying he was in a car wreck and so missed the match. I’m more curious about Ramstein just happening to be around.

AAA (MON) 04/28 Arena Cuatro Caminos de Nuevo Laredo [RFC]
1) Hombre de Negro & Violento b Black Fenix & Street Boy
2) Mini Hombre sin Miedo & Mini Laredo Kid b Mini Hator & Mini Rio Bravo
3) Baby Rap, Principe Diamante, Tiger Cota b Rio Bravo, Silver Cat, Tito Santana II
4) Astuto, Hombre Sin Miedo, Sangre Chicana b Antifaz del Norte, El Cobarde, Picudo
5) Jack Evans, Konnan, Teddy Hart b Extreme Tiger, Halloween, TJ Xtreme

Konnan replaced Ultimo Gladiador, who’s missed a few bookings lately. Hurt?

(Reforma via Jazzo) Sangre Azteca would be willing to fight Greenland’s own Grey Shadow either in a mask match or a title match if he can get the commission would allow it. There’s a vague mention of Shadow and Sangre fighting in Japan – perhaps in a NJPW? As usual, they can’t really explain without telling you who Grey Shadow really is, but they’re more than willing to walk up to the line (except about his country of origin.)

Sangre notes the commission let him get away with a title match vs Alex a while back, so maybe they’ll allow this one too. I think they’ll have to hold in Queretaro to make it work, since that seems to be the only commission who allows it. Sangre’s willing to take on La Mascara in mask match whenever he’s willing to sign his name and Sombra, Sagrado, and Valiente are on his list.

Ovaciones says we may get Toscano/Metal and Panther/Villano5 resolution. IN JUNE. We’re writing off May already.

MedioTiempo has an interview with Jacob Moret, organizer of the Lucha Libre Expo. It’s this weekend, so it’s time for the hard sell for tickets.

Dr. Wagner gives his same “freedom of expression” speech to box y lucha. Who believes Wagner would be making this same speech of CMLL was booking him like he wanted? Exactly. Meanwhile, Blue Demon Jr. got more press for his 5K/10K runs for fighting against childhood cancer. Blue Demon appears to be doing more for his cause than getting people to wear his mask.

Meanwhile, Ultimo Guerrero criticized Dr. Wagner for biting the hand that’s fed him for many years. Also, Wagner is a scaredy cat who talks about mask/mask challenges and backs out of them when it comes to actually sign the match. (Sadly, Wagner does not say “scaredy cat”.) A fine company man interview by UG, which should allow him to sign two more people from Laguna. He also protests the whole “Guerreros Tuareg” name and plans to take it up with CMLL.

Noticas Oaxaca has a profile of Relampago Gomez Jr.

CMLL (WED) 04/30 Arena Neza
1) Luna Mágica, Marcela, Yesca vs Amapola, Hiroka, La Seductora
2) Calígula, Leono, Méssala vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Nitro
3) Alex Koslov, Místico, Valiente vs Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero, Virus

Special Kid’s Day show, moved from Thursday.

CMLL (SUN) 05/04 Arena Neza
1) Dark Angel & Goddess vs Amapola & Medussa
2) La Máscara & Sagrado vs Misterioso II & Sangre Azteca

CMLL (SUN) 05/04 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Quazar vs Milenio
2) Carlo Roggi vs Fraile de la Muerte
3) Idolo & Oro II vs Depredador (Guadalajara) & Exterminador
4) Atomo & Último Dragoncito vs Pequeno Universo & Pierrothito
5) Casanova, Metal Balnco, Metalik vs Jeque, Malefico, Toxico
6) Dos Caras Jr., Negro Casas, Rayman vs Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V

04/28: Wagner march, Coliseo, Monterrey

Links from the Wagner March
– El Siglo de Torreon says Fuerza Guerrera made an appearance.
– tedy_team and Satanico’s Mansion pictures shows Multifacetico and other IWRG wrestlers, so there’s obviously some Wagner/IWRG tie up going on here. They are both going thru the similar issues with CMLL.
superluchas has a photo of the scene. Seems as many people watching the scene as participating in it.
MT says 200 people showed up.
Wagner says he’ll work for anyone calls, “why not, even AAA”. LIES. He says he done with CMLL but also fighting against companies just like CMLL who punish you for talking.
– Ovaciones has a short note on it.

Ovaciones has partial results for Arena Coliseo

CMLL (SUN) 04/27 Arena Coliseo
4) Héctor Garza, Marco Corelone, Shocker DQ Damián 666, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Águila
5) Grey Shadow b Sangre Azteca

Challenge were made, but CMLL identifies Shadow as from the United States, AN ACTUAL COUNTRY, so all my jokes are now ruined. Unless they make the title match anyway. It’s not on the lineup they posted for next week.

AAA (SUN) 04/27 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]
1) Iron Extreme b Rey Imagen
2) Aguila Extrema & Baby Fox DRAW Criminal & Yaco
3) Chico Calavera, Guerrero Blanco, Virtual X b Diabolik, Euforia (Monterrey), Invasor
4) La Momia & Sangre Chicana b Antifaz del Norte & Espíritu
5) Casandro, El Elegido, Pimpinela Escarlata b Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz

Tickets are still available for the lucha libre expo.

Heavy Metal talked up the possible hair match with Toscano with Notimex.

Box y Lucha #2868 has a double cover of Rey Misterio Jr winning the Televisa Deportes award and Estrellita taking Rossy Moreno’s hair. By the way, I like how even Estrellita vs Rossy Moreno turns into a fight between Mesias and Cibernetico. This is AAA.

Medussa returned from a five week injury absence on Sunday. Or at least that was the plan, I don’t have the results.

3) Atomo vs Pentagoncito [LAGUNA MINI]
4) Blue Panther, Stuka I, Stuka Jr. vs Espanto V, Rey Bucanero, Sangre Azteca

Last week’s mini title match was won by Atomo, but only after interference. Atomo insisted on throwing that match out, and so they’re doing the rematch.

LLF (FRI) 05/02 Arena Femenil Monterrey [RFC]
1) RBD vs Dama Hierro
2) Angelica & Venadita vs Bandida & Lady Puma
3) Diana La Cazadora & Perla Negra vs La Chacala & Tsunami
4) Nikki Roxx vs Polly Star [LLF INTL]

Nikki is LLF International Champ.

04/27 AAA TV Results (Zapopan)

Previous: 04/05 (Torreon), 04/10 (Toluca), 04/16 Ceyala

AAA TV (SUN) 04/27 Auditorio Benito Juarez, Zapopan [Tiburon_Blanco @ box y lucha]
1) Killer Clown, Psycho Clown, Zombie Clown b Aerostar, Pegasso, Super Fly
2) Extreme Tiger & Halloween b Crazy Boy & Joe Lider [AAA TAG]
3) Head Hunter I, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart b Alan Stone, El Alebrije, Laredo Kid
4) Black Abyss & Mr. Niebla b Abismo Negro & Super Porky
5) Charly Manson, Chessman, La Parka Jr. DQ Electro Shock, Kenzo Suzuki, Konnan
6) Cibernetico L Mesias and Zorro

At the halfway point, Prez Roldan and Mesias did an in-ring bit, where Roldan teased bringing in a rival to take care of Mesias. (There ends Mesias’ tecnico turn.) Later, in the main event, Zorro was first out. Before Mesias could beat Cibernetico, Vampiro ran in, returning to AAA. I see the retirement is going well!

Four way for TripleMania? Zorro/Cibernetico and Mesias/Vamp singles matches?

Everyone in the Legion beat down the tecnicos in the semimain. I think it was a Legion win, but it might have been a tecnico DQ win; I’ll update when AAA post its results. This was about taking pieces off the board to set up the main event run in.

Fourth match was kinda the same purpose, but done with style: with Copetes down, Black Abyss gave Abismo Negro a Martiente! Cruel irony for the original, who took the loss and needed help out.

Head Hunter beat Alebrije to win the third, but I think that’s because the other four had taken themselves out with dives.

For no reason, Joe Lider turned on Crazy Boy to cost him the titles. It was not a in the moment thing – Joe Lider had a chair/missile dropkick spot to set up to do it. Tiger and Halloween are the third tag team champions.

No announced win total for the Clowns.

Upcoming tapings
– 04/30 Aguscalientes
– 05/02 Veracruz
– no less than 4 more tapings before
– 06/13 DF (TripleMania)
