The Perros turned on Garza in the semimain, helping the tecnicos get the win. (Blue Panther replaced Alex.) Garza did come out wearing a Perros shirt, a bad move in retrospect. The Perros in the main event came down and helped beat up Garza, and Mistico and company made the save. In the main event, tecnicos won in straight falls, Volador winning the first clean and Perro yanking Mistico’s mask for the second fall. Babe Richard tried to stop the post match attack and got his shirt ripped. Perro Jr. vowed Mistico would lose his mask this year.

  1. “So I know nothing. Just in case you thought otherwise.”

I wouldn’t worry too much. You’d have better luck learning quantum physics than understanding the CMLL decision making process.

SuperLuchas has the main going 10 minutes and the semi-main going only 9. So either the angle went REALLY LONG or they will be able to squeeze an extra match on TV. Either way…

… that mini’s match from last night is being repeated on Tuesday so we’ll see it next week on CadenaTres.:) In fact next week’s CT show looks AWESOME. The only thing missing is better rudos in the tercera. TAKE NOTE: This is the FIRST TIME the MexNat Trios champs are teaming @ Arena Mexico since they won the belts. I smell a title match in two weeks!

I want to say Friday’s card looks AWESOME but how can use that word with a tercera like THAT? That may be end up being the worst match in the history of wrestling.

But #2, #4 and #5 look like sure winners to me! Time to spend another week begging that the mini’s match airs on the regular show so we don’t risk GdR fucking up like two weeks ago.

  2. Of course no Grey Shadow his altar ego is working ROH but I guess some people still can’t believe it.

  3. Only two months into the year and this will already be the 4th time the Rayos Tatatios and Guerrilleros have clashed on regular CMLL shows. 1/6 @ Coliseo, 1/8 @ Coliseo, some other time at Arena Neza and now this. They’re probably having quite the feud we never get to see.:)

  4. Typical – but oh so predictable. One week. Segunda from Arena Mexico looks good, Coliseo looks horrid. They air Coliseo.
The following week, Arena mex segunda will suck, Coliseo looks great. They choose to air Arena Mex. Go figure.

I’m not so enthusiastic about Cadena Tres next week either. Obviously you can count on the minis being fun, and the semi will probably be decent. But to me, that tercera looks like Mail-In city. I would never count on Flash or Purpura doing anything of note outside of Friday shows, and the rudos, as we all know, are pretty dreadful. So once again, it’s left to stuka to try and drag something out of them and make it remotely interesting.

And the main is pretty up & down. 3 good, 2 boring as hell, and 1 awful. I won’t be holding my breath for anything that’ll entertain me.

It always feels like a letdown when the lineups come out and we’re left without any lowercarders at all, even if we are compensated by mini’s.

And if i can’t get throgh to XEJTV, it’s no lucha tv for me today, because i ain’t giving 2hrs of my time to last tuesdays abomination of a card on Cadena Tres. Even if i can see the main show, i’m not holding my breath for much as only the main looks decent, but it will probably more of an angle than a match.

Still, at least next Fridays segunda and semi look like loadsa fun. But at the other end of the spectrum, that tercera really is the stuff of lucha nightmares. I’m trying to decide whether Misterioso II has pissed someone off to be lumped in with those turkeys, or if he’s in there as opportunity to look good…..which won’t be very difficult…

  5. Victor: CMLL is airing at 6EST today so no worries.:) I took your advice and kept the feed running overnight so it works fine for me.:P

I’m gonna record the CD semi-main this week since it was said to be good.

  6. The tercera was about as entertaining as it’s going to get that with that mix of six guys. I liked it.

  7. Cadena Tres wasn’t that bad today. Sure the women sucked but that’s to be expected. The Infernales match was ok for a 2 fall match involving Fabian. I would love to see Satanico vs Stuka 1 on 1. Good to see Satanico can still go.

The Valiente match was really good. Even La Mascara impressed me. The Valiente/Virus segments were especially good.

  8. Looking forward to watch those two matches. Recorded them instead of watching live. Eagerly awaiting Arena Mexico main although the reliable feed all day long has now started acting up.

  9. Worst camera work ever. They missed the plancha off the ramp to start the match even though it took 2 minutes to set up. Then they missed Voaldor’s first fall finish and Sombra’s dive.

Angel Azteca Jr./Sombra De Plata’s Momentos spot was AWESOME!

  10. Yep, it looked good.

On the other hand that main event was atrocious. It’ll make for a great highlight package with the big dives but everything else was brutal and Volador almost tripped while running the ropes at one point.

  11. I thought the main event was decent, most likely cause of the big dives. Though I missed the tercera, I still think it was still worth trying to get the feed to work to watch the show. Almost gave up after 40 minutes till it started working.

  12. Garza was one of the best faces for CMLL. He really helped make 1995 a decent year for CMLL, along with Santo returning, Jericho, U. Dragon, Casas, and others.

  13. Photos from the mini’s match on Friday look AWESOME! I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope it airs on GdR even chopped up (since it went 17 mins. live).

I don’t get the t-shirts they were wearing beforehand though. Are they doing a mini’s reality show?

  14. Yeah, looks cool.

But this is GdR. You wouldn’t put anything past them. In it’s favour, at least Neutron wasn’t involved, so it probably will safely air! :-p

A bit weird that Dragoncito busted out his suicide front row somersault dive twice in the one match though.

It’s amazing how loaded the CMLL mini’s division is when you think of Dragoncito as one of the b-team.

  15. They’re so deep they have an A, B and C team of mini’s now. It’s quite incredible, especially if they keep getting TV matches.
