CMLL (FRI) 02/08 Arena Mexico
1) Ángel Azteca Jr. & Sombra de Plata vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) Dark Angel, Goddess, Marcela vs Amapola, Hiroka, Rosa Negra
3) La Máscara, Sagrado, Último Dragón vs Diamante Negro, Ephesto, Virus
4) Blue Panther, Grey Shadow, La Sombra vs Black Warrior, Olímpico, Sangre Azteca
5) Averno, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Héctor Garza, Mephisto vs Atlantis, Lizmark Jr., Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero

I have this idea Averno & Mephisto are going to end up breaking up with Perro Aguayo Jr. & Hector Garza by the end of this match and be back on their own, but that’s just my total guess. We’ll know more about the union between these two teams by the end of this match for sure.

The rest of the show is notable for Grey Shadow’s second match and Goddess’ Friday debut in the women’s trios. ESTO interviews her about her career to this point.

Ovaciones previews CMLL’s Friday show and AAA’s Sunday taping. NotiMex, ReformaESTO have generic previews.

Ultimonito was with the rudos. Averno and Mistico did the usual post match channels.

(Reforma via Jazzo) The Arena Neza Pequeno Reyes de Aires ended in a draw between Mini Damian and Pierrothito. Mini Violencia and Mini Halloween both had interfered to help their usual partners, and everyone ended up getting coutned out. They challenged for a mask vs hair match after.

LaOreja.tv reports Intocable has quit working with the Piel Caliente strippers. I didn’t even know he was working with strippers, though I that’d explain the back up dancers. Intocable says they wanted him to commit to the group full time and he wasn’t going to do that, and also rips the management (and Poncho de Nigris specifically) for it’s disorganization.

Babe Sharon’s death is mentioned in Ovaciones, Diario, and ESTO.

ESTO writes about El Hijo del Santo at Santo’s statue. He’s planning a lot of things to coincide with next year’s 25th anniversary of his death.

El Sol de San Luis previews the 03/05 AAA TV Taping. No new details.

Dia A Dia interviews a mask maker in Panama. He says there are 3 people who make masks in the country, and 3 different promotions running.

5) Dos Caras Jr., LA Park, Shocker vs Héctor Garza, Terrible, Texano

Not only is the semimain tecnicos vs tecnicos, but it’s Mex Trios Champs together. When they did this in Queretaro, this set up a title match soon after.

In a Veracruz carnival, there’s a huge Mistico float to promote the new energy drink.

Not sure if I’m going to be able to the Addison show after all.

  1. This angle of Guerrers v Perros/Averno/Mephisto is strange. There’s no way they could run with this for any length of time, otherwise there are literally no top level rudos to oppose Mistico, Park, Wagner, Casas etc.

It was bad enough when they done it last year, but at least then, Averno and Mephisto were not involved, and they could step up as the top rudos to face the tecnicos. Now, the best the top level tecnicos could face would be the Perro and Guerrero b-teams.

I know CMLL booking ain’t the smartest, but surely this isn’t building to much, that would be suicide. For that reason I would agree that this is only going to be a temporary distriction.

Tonights show looks pretty dire actually. Cadena tres tomorrow looks much more interesting. A shame in particular that the excellent rudo trio in the tercera have shit to work with.

But despite the card looking shit, i’d still have liked a 3hr show covering it all, just so Neutron could be on TV again next weekend – but no such luck. it’s 1:45hrs so top 3. :(

I don’t suppose anyone’s managed to find a source of CMLL Puebla TV yet? :D What do they air anyway – top 2,3,4?…..

  2. Olimpico and Black Warrior with a random patner will oppose them while the rudo feud goes on. they can carry good matches with the technicos, especially Olimpico.

  3. Olimpico? Good? Carrying tecnicos? Eh. I think Olimpico’s job these days is more to just keep taking steroids and look pretty for the yearly bodybuilding contest.

That Puebla card looks amazing. My hope is with the mini’s being booked it means that same match or a similar match is coming to Arena Mexico next week since they’ve all been absent since the mini’s title match a month ago and the women are getting their time tonight.

Looking forward to Cadena Tres big time! Gotta remember to download that new RealPlayer as cubs suggested. (this is more of a reminder for myself for tmrw morning since I check this site first)

That Neza Torneo sounds amazing, especially with the ending nobody saw coming. Ruditos vs ruditos? SAY IT AIN’T SO!

  4. I just realized tomorrow is the ONE afternoon game the Leafs have all year long. What the fuck. Hopefully this record function in Real Player 11 works well.

  5. Is anyone else watching the FSE show tonight? Is it just my TV, or is there no announcers at all? The sound is otherwise there, just not anyone talking.

  6. I’m watching FSE in between commercial breaks of
smackdown. I’m not hearing the commentators as well, just the crowd noise.

  7. Well cubs, you were close. There was a “divorce” tonight but it was Garza being kicked out of Los Perros.

  8. Rob you should get Real Alternative instead of Real Player. Real Player will put Spyware on your computer.

  9. Just noticed we may also get Sombra De Plata and Los Romanos on TV this week – we just won’t know about it for a while :)

  10. Hey Cubs, you never updated the luchatimes page.
I just turned on the XEJ feed and I’m gonna leave it on until it’s time for the show.

  11. Another abrupt turn? Garza out of Perros? I guess it’s another rushed stip match for the Lutterroth show in March.

I didn’t have a problem with CMLL on FSE last night. Did the problem clear itself up?
