The secret big story of 2007 is Universo going from main eventing back to back major shows to being a non-factor. Mascara and Pierroth had similar declines, and I’m so not nostalgic for them after this match.
What did you think of the build for Sangre vs. Metal? I’m hoping this is to give Sangre a successful title defense over one of the biggest stars of the 90’s.
It’d be nice if they did it, but seeing as this was taped weeks ago and they haven’t moved an inch closer to it, I take it as seriously as all the other quickly forgotten big match challenges on the GdR shows.
Are we in any danger of losing the 52MX show now that it’s done in Mexico?
52MX lost SKY TV. It’s still on all or most cable systems around the country. Losing SKY in Mexico would be like Galavision losing Directv and Dish but keeping Comcast, Time Warner, and Cox Cable here in the US.
There’s been somewhat of a backlash against SKY for pulling 52. SKY says the ratings are low. 52MX says they have popular shows like WWE, telenovelas, etc….
52MX is launching their own satellite that competes with SKY, which might have something to do with SKY pulling 52MX.
