CMLL CAN52 GdR - 08/25/07 (#92)

Intro: Announcers hang out with Misterioso II, who is posing and pointing and stuff. They're actually talking to someone who's got a match today, away. Must be a break between falls for the Minis since they're just hanging out in the ring. Alex Koslov rants. Misterioso says Alex is not a wrestler, he's a ballerina. Well, maybe.

Show Long Interview: Dr. Wagner Jr. We see him put the mask on el Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., which better not be his ring name. Kid seems to be in the 16-19 range, but he's taller than his dad by a couple inches. This ends up with both men crying, and then both men doing the Wagner pose. So weird.

Match 1: Amapola (c), Princesa Sujei, Hiroka vs Lady Apache (c), Dark Angel, Sahori
Arena Mexico, 08/17/07

  1. rudas
  2. tecnicas
  3. tecnicas

Winner: Tecnicas (2-1)
Match Time: 10:56
Approx Rating: Fun.
Other Match Notes: We saw the intro during the open, so I know Lady Apache has her belt here.

1: The match starts with Sujei laying on the mat selling something, and Sahori running the ropes. Yea, clip. Amapola comes in to take over for her partner and dropkicks Sahori over. Whop, Sahori tries a spinning armdrags, Amapola blocks it, and Sahori gets a slow bodyscissors armdrag. Amapola with a pausing shoulderblock, to the ropes, spin thru the ropes to fake out Sahori, off the ropes again, and Sahori kicks sends her out. Fake dive pose. Apache tagged in and rolling in. Hiroka in for her team. Both react to the crowd. Lockup, break. Hiroka shoves Apache into the ropes, around and around they go, and Apache ends up in the corner and slapped. Hiroka is thrilled with herself. Charge, Apache moves out of he way and slaps Hiroka. Hiroka is less happy now. Crowd chanting for one more and Apache lading them out. Lockup,. Hiroka with a front facelock, both spin around on the mat look for counters, and Apache needs up with an armdrags to send Hiroka into the ropes. Apache screams towards the crowd. Apache with a single leg, off the ropes, over, quick stop to snap mare Hiroka, Hiroka responds by hipblocking her, and a kick to the spine. Hiroka boots Apache in the chest. Corner whip, Apache reversed, Hiroka backdrops her up, Apache does a handstand while Hiroka celebrates, and Hiroka has a great reaction to seeing Apache stand there. Hiroka charges the corner, but boinks into the turnbuckle when Apache slips out to the apron. Hiroka gets in a shoulder to the midsection and flips over over Hiroka to get in. Amapola tries to cut her off with a kick, Apache blocks that and spins her around, Hiroka grabs Apache by her hair, Apache back elbows her, bodyscissors on Amapola, Lady Apache sings her legs forward to dropkick Hiroka and bulldog Amapola. That was good. Out goes Hiroka, Amapola's whipped, backdrop, Amapola lands on her feet and back elbows her down. Amapola corner whips Apache, Apache jumps to the middle rope and dropkicks her on the charge. There's one more bulldog, and a dropkick sends Amapola out. Apache with the fake dive pose, and tag to Dark Angel. We miss the start of this exchange looking at the crowd, but Dark Angel quickly has a flying armdrags. Sujei cuts her off with a running clothesline, but the next try is grabbed into a backbreaker. Corner whip, reversed, and Hiroka's dropkicked down. Dark Angel ducks a Hiroka kick as she comes in, but Angel's cross body is caught and slammed by Hiroka, which is kinda impressive. Hiroka stomps Dark Angel, then picks her up. German suplex? No, Dark Angel's going to block that. Sujei runs in with a clothesline to knock Angel over, but Angel and Hiroka duck that. Sarah does a standing switch, having Hiroka in the waistlock instead, and Sujei winds up for the big kick to the butt, but Angel moves and Hiroka takes it.  Hiroka rolls out to recover, Dark Angel sidesteps a Sujei charge and runs the other way - TOPE! on Hiroka. Apache gives Sujei a backbreaker, then reverses an Amapola tilt-a-whirl to land on top. Sujei breaks that up with a hard kick to the back of the head. Amapola gets Sahori as she comes in, and we've got corner whips. Tecnicas reverse them - this all a bit off timed, but it might just be the camera angle - but rudas end up in control anyway, and end it immateriality with their finishes.

2: Second fall starts with Hiroka mugging for the camera from 3 inches away, and Sujei jacking the ring car girl. A fine start. Beatdown is on, and Sahori's isolated in the ring when we get around to it. Sahori runs the ropes into a double hiptoss, and then gets a double gutbuster. Sujei is in charge of the lifting, and slams Sahori down onto Amapola and Hiroka's knees. Triple boot for Apache, the GdI sit, and then they use Hiroka as a battering ram! Hiroka's a bit dizzy after. Boot choke for Dark Angel. Whip, double chop, and she's set up hanging on the top rope, so Amapola can be boosted into a dropkick on her. Sahori and Apache in, and they're both worked over. Dark Angel is resting on the ramp, I don't know if that's important, but it seems that way. Both tecnicos are whipped, and they come back with back elbows for Amapola. I don't know the rudas plans there. Sahori dropkicks Sujei out, Apache gives Hiroka a spinning backbreaker. Dark Angel runs to the ring and jumps over the top rope with a tope right to Amapola's midsection. That looked pinfall. Dark Angel stomps Amapola, whips her, and gives her a reverse half nelson slam. Amapola's picked up by her hair, and Dark Angel holds her while Lady Apache goes up. Amapola reverses it, but Apache is paying attention and does a sunset flip on Amapola. Dark Angel gets German suplexed in the process, but rolls thru. Amapola reverses the sunset flip to be on top, Dark Angel kicks at her, Amapola re-reverses it and Apache gets kicked in the head. That's no good. Dark Angel tries to punch Amapola, Amapola hooks her into a full nelson, Sujei dropkicks, and Amapola ends up taking it. Dark Angel gets a bodyscissors, but Sujei shoves her off and dropkicks her out. Sahori comes in off the top rope with an armdrags, and then gets an abdominal stretch, but Hiroka breaks that up. Apache gets Hiroka with a missile dropkick. Sujei charges, Apache duck and Dark Angel gives her a drop toe hold as everything happens at once. Sahori gets a silla on Hiroka in here, and the tecnicas wrap it up with submissions.

El Arte del Catch: Campana Invertida - inverted rocking hose, sure enough.

3: This fall, Sujei forces the camera to stop looking at the ring card girl and look at her instead. Hiroka rushes over when she realizes she can get on TV. The cameraman tries to turn back to the ring call, but Sujei's not having it. Hiroka and Apache starting in the ring, and Apache almost immediately hits a springboard DDT. Chop. Corner whip, reversed, Hiroka charges in and gets Apache with a big boot. Whip, Hiroka's clothesline misses, and Apache takes her over with a German suplex. No bridge on that. Hiroka rolls out, and Apache is to after her after Sujei and Amapola boot her out. Dark Angel misses a dropkick, and Sahori never gets anything in before she's stopped coming in. Tecnicos are whipped into the corners, rudas whip each other, and miss on the corner charges, ending up on the floor. Shari and Dark Angel climb opposites corners - plancha! Apache back in with a plancha on Hiroka. Apache rolls thru, and ends up standing right in front of a ref. That's not a good sign. Sure enough, Hiroka tries to dropkick Apache, Apache moves, and the ref gets it. Surprisingly, the other ref isn't checking on the girls on the floor, and that's a DQ. That's a bit random for a finish. No one's much concerned with the downed ref, more with arguing the finish. Hiroka finds the camera so she can protest.

That finish was not the most surprising thing going on - there's a pop up advertising Verdad y Fama tomorrow featuring "Molotov." There's gotta be someone else named Molotov, right? I guess I gotta tape this.

El Diseno de CANEK! He's still alive! This is a three minute period of wonder. Canek looks cool posing in a suit. He should go no further than that.

Match 2: Misterioso II, Ephesto, Mephisto (c) vs Volador Jr., Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal (c)
Arena Coliseo, 08/19/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 10:42
Approx Rating: Blow expectations for this crew.
Other Match Notes: Entrances. Volador has his belt but seems out of it on the way to ringside. His mask isn't even buttoned up on the bottom. He does the pre-match promo and looks to have taped ribs, so maybe that's it. Alex stops to find people to kiss on the way to ringside. The last one he kisses appears to be there with her boyfriend, who's wearing a Mephisto mask, and they totally start having a fight after Alex kisses her. Koslov is a home wrecker. Rudos are all wearing purple. Ephesto's interview appears to be him saying "Yo soy Ephesto" like four times. There are more words, I'm sure.

1: Rudos jumped the tecnicos when we weren't watching. Heavy Metal takes the double rebound hiptoss. Alex Koslov found some women to hang out with in the first row, how unlike him. He's in next, though Metal gets choked in the opposite corner at the same time. Triple face first powerbomb for Alex. Volador gets chopped around, and then takes corner charges. Side backbreaker/legdrop as required. Metal takes the double hiptoss again, but this time onto Ephesto's boots, which is actually a good idea. Not a fun one, but it's an idea. Replay shows those boots were awful low. Rudos continue to beat the tecnicos around the ring in between falls.

Q: Que nombres utilizo antes de ser Alex Koslov?
A: Alex Piencheck and Nie Hoolligan

2: Heavy Metal gets stomped. Volador covers him up, so the rudos are more than happy to stomp him too. Volador gets sent out with the lightest double boot in the history of man, and I've got to stop doing move by move now. That was horrendous. Beatdown continues along slowly. Crowd is at least into chanting heavy. Alex and Volador totally know when the comeback is coming 16 seconds before it happens, because we watch them get on the apron to position themselves for their spots. Koslov gets to do the Mistico springboard dropkick, and Volador does a headscissors. Metal gets Ephesto with a slingshot tope con giro, and the other two wrap up things in the ring. It looked like Volador was going to give Misterioso the moonsault side slam, and they were up on the top rope talking about it for a bit, but it ended up being a 'rana. Definitely for the best.

El Arte del Catch: El Potro - full nelson camel clutch variant. Hey, that kid is wearing a Dr. Karonte mask!

3: Joined with Alex running wild against the rudos. Spinning backbreaker, jumping enziguri, time to blow kisses. Tag to Volador Jr., who does a lot of crowd interaction and fake handshaking before someone actually fights, and that's just him getting jumped from behind. Headscissors for everyone. Misterioso comes in, which starts more posing. Volador does his worst satellite headscissors ever. Crowd still into him, but this is not his day. Heavy and Mephisto have a chop fest, and Metal cheats and kicks. Dropkick to the head for Mephisto, kick to the knee for Misterioso, spinning backbreaker for Mephisto, casita for Misterioso - no, Misterioso shoves him off, but ends up spearing the post anyway. Metal backdrops Mephisto the apron, and gets his diving dropkick on Misterioso by going under Mephisto's legs. Mephisto gets chin dropped on the apron and sells very dramatically. Clowning around is a-okay in this match. Alex back in and Ephesto works him over with chops. Misterioso takes over as Ephesto grabs Volador, but the rudos get shoved off into each other, and then wandering into position for Volador's boosted up dropkick. Volador's over the top rope con giro hits, as does Alex's plancha to the for. Metal and Mephisto are left inside. Metal misses a dropkick to the knee, Mephisto chops him, corner whip, Mephisto charges in, Metal moves, Metal rolls him out of the corner and get the casita for three. Yay, it's over.

Mephisto and Misterioso ran on the microphone after. That's it.
