Match 1: Amapola (c), Poly Star, Princesa Sujei vs Dark Angel, Diana la Cazadora (c), Luna Magica
Arena Coliseo, 06/10/07

  1. tecnicas
  2. tecnicas

Winner: Tecnicas (2-0)
Match Time: 10:09
Approx Rating: Good, got better as the match went on, but Diana's had better days and Poly Star did nothing to impress.
Other Match Notes: Poly Star - from Monterrey - is listed as one word during the match here, but I'm used to seeing it as two. That's how they have it doing open, anyway. Dark Angel does a promo before the intros talking about Poly, Diana does the usual interview talking about Amapola (seemingly talking a billion words a minute), and Amapola introduces Poly Star in her interview.

1: Rudas jump the tecnicas. Diana's thrown around by hair so many times, I lose count. Diana takes a boot choke and a running big boot (bad bump on that?) Sujei and Amapola team up for double legdrops on her legs. Sujei and Poly bring the other two in while Amapola works over Damian in the corner, grabbing her hair as many times as possible to make the point. Sujei slams Dark Angel on the ramp. Amapola pins Dian with one knee, but pulls her up at the two count. Rudas back together to work over Diana. Whip, Diana goes over Sujei into a double boot, and Diana really has some issues taking double boots. Amapola steps on her hair. Long look at the crowd, but I don't think anything's clipped. Amapola picks her up, and runs her head first in the corner buckle. Big slap. Amapola finally kicks her out, and Dian could use the break. Luna in, and she takes a (not good), double hiptoss. Triple flapjack and double dropkick is better. Dark Angel in, Dark Angel thrown out. I guess they just want to get Sujei faster. Amapola whips both Sujei and Poly into corner charges, and then adds a running sliding dropkick of her own. That one hits hard. Dark Angel in, long shot of the crowd, corner whip, Poly star his a back elbow, Sujei hits a flying clothesline, Angel moves out of the way of Amapola's charge and she spears the post at a high rate of speed. Dark Angel quickly gets a reverse bodyscissors back bridge cradle on Sujei for one pinfall, Diana dives on Amapola with an apron tope con giro, and Luna Magica ends up with a double armbar on Poly Star.

2: Tecnicas stand around the ring, waiting for the rudas to come back in, in between falls. Diana and Amapola in to start the fall, but Amapola doesn't want to deal with her and tags out to Sujei. Diana isn't happy with that, and Luna comes in to take her place. Of course, Sujei and Amapola switch again, but before Luna can tag out, Amapola forearms her in the back and knocks her down. Shot for Amapola while she's at it. Corner whip, Luan moves out of the way, cartwheel for no reason, Luan tries that again and gets a reverse powerbomb. Whip, fireman's carry, and Luna escapes out into an armdrags. Luna off the ropes, flip over faceslam, but Sujei dropkicks her before she can cover. Sujei kicks and chops Luna, and connects on her corner clothesline. Corner whip, reversed, Luna with a jumping back elbow, and a Stunner out of the corner. Luna holds onto to the head, and Poly ends up dropkicking her own partner (which actually made no sense, but whatever.) Luna off the ropes, bottom rope slingshot armdrag, tilt-a-whirl slam, dropkick to send Poly out, and out to the apron - slingshot tornillo! The Air Force don't have anything to worry about, but I wasn't expecting that. Tag out to Dark Angel, who's meant by Amapola, They have a reveal sequence which leads to an armdrag out of a bodyscissors, and Angel follows with a float around DDT. Amapola rolls out, Dark Angel turns towards her, and gets kicked by Poly star. Hiptoss, holding on for another hiptoss, holding for another, but Dark Angel blocks that, knee to the midsection, headscissors sends Poly Star out. Dark Angel looks back for Amapola, then realizes Sujei's probably coming in, and rolls over her sweep attempt, Dark Angel's kick is blocked, and Sujei clotheslines her down. Stomps. Off the ropes, elbow drop, but Dark Angel moves out of the way. 'Rana, no, Sujei blocks it and throws her off, Sujei tries a clothesline, Dark Angel grabs it and gives her a backbreaker, though it takes two tries to get it right. Amapola in - and Dian in for her side. Amapola would like the part of the crowd cheering for her to be louder before they fight. Diana's had a chance to put her hair tie back in. Chest slap battle. Diana with a shoulderblock, but Amapola stops Diana from running by grabbing her pony tail - backcracker! One two NO! Amapola is shocked. Corner whip, reversed, Diana charges in, Amapola backdrops her to the apron, Amapola's forearm is block, Diana knocks her away and goes up, missile dropkick does connect. Amapola misses a weak clothesline, Diana gives her a deep inside cradle, one two three.

Here's the thing - Amapola is captain, so the match should end right here. I went back and double checked. No one in the ring either cares or is paying attention, because the match rolls on. I don't hear the ring announcer say the captains, the only way we could tell is the graphic. Unless the graphics are done live to tape and can't possibly be edited, someone definitely should've changed the graphic to list Sujei as captain so the rest of the match makes sense. Referees don't act like something's up, so it's likely Sujei actually is captain.

Sujei is immediately in and dropkicking Diana. Luna in just as fast for her team, bodyscissors cradle on Sujei, one two no. Luna tries a 'rana, Sujei rolls thru, one two three.  We're down to 2 on 2. Dark Angel in quickly, sunset flip, Sujei rolls thru, Dark Angel moves out of the way of the dropkick. Dark Angel grabs Sujei - reinera! Sujei won't give, and she escapes out into an inside cradle, one two no. Corner whip, Sujei charges, Dark Angel's long out of the way and Sujei slowly flips to the floor. Dark Angel heading up. Top rope plancha connects - she had to go a long way for that one. Poly Star and Diana left in - Poly connects on a springboard spin kick? I think that's what that was supposed to be, it didn't appear to be much. Poly throws a lame clothesline, which Diana catches and turns into a weird "standing on her back hammerlock". This puts Diana way up in the air, and easy game for Amapola to dropkick. Since Amapola's eliminated, that's a DQ, though not a DQ we get that much. Amapola just barely got there on the dropkick, but she makes sure to totally get there with some stomps. Amapola angrily yanks Diana up for some chops, but the referees finally cut her off enough to raise Diana's arm. Amapola slips thru the refs and tecnicas to throw Diana around by her hair again and put a boot to her neck. Break.

In place of our third fall, Diana gets a microphone to challenge Amapola to a hair match. Amapola accepts.

Match 2: Damian 666 (c), Halloween, Terrible vs Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone (c), Rey Bucanero
Arena Mexico, 06/08/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 12:00
Approx Rating: Good High Society match.
Other Match Notes: Rey has his belt. Halloween has his belt, but not Damian. The Perros come out as a team, while the High Society all get their own entrances. Terrible and Damian immediately get into fights with the tecnicos, but Halloween's busy posing in the corner and has no idea.

1: Koslov takes the legdrop/backbreaker combo as the Perros clear the ring. Rey takes a questionably low dropkicking. Corelone seems to have cut his hair, and he's posted on the outside. Alex takes the toss in a spear spot, which almost works this time. Rey's hammered with clothesline in the corner after clothesline. Terrible guillotine catapults him into the middle rope. Giant swing/dropkick come to finish him.

2: rudos still well in control. Usual teamwork spots. Terrible whiffs on a planned trip of Corelone and so that bit goes temporarily awry, though Terrible ends getting a backbreaker. Halloween follows out with his slip 'n slide splash, but meets knees. I guess that means the comeback ins on, but it doesn't become immediately apparently. Koslov hits a very nice no hands tope con giro not Terrible, and Damian takes the Buca Storm for the finish.

El Arte del Catch: La Hurracarrana. Tony Salazar sets up the same two guys from last week, who do a backdrop before showing us a 'rana.

3: Announcers talk about the Father's Day show. Damian/Corelone to start, with Damian doing the Corelone hip swivel and getting kicked for it. Corelone's springboard clothesline looks really good here. Terrible comes in to break the pin, but Corelone just ends up socking Damian twice with the big punch, and landing on Terrible with a springboard plancha. Maybe they haven't matched up Terrible with Corelone much previously because it kinda exposes Terrible - he may be tall for a luchador, but he's not Corelone. Marco obliterates him with a dropkick. Halloween in, and he does the sunset flip so Corelone can hipswivel. Marco pulls him up and gives him the KO punch too. Alex/Halloween ends with Halloween getting a enziguri and being slid out chest first. Alex stops Damian so he can blow kisses, and he's milking the lead up to blowing kisses now. Terrible socks him in the middle of it and the Perros mock him. Double stomp down on Alex, who spins up to his feet as the Perros are celebrating. Armdrags for everyone. headscissors ends out Damian, Terrible misses a plancha and takes a nice superkick. Hat dance! Superkick for Damian for good measure. Bucanero in, wanting to fight no one, but the Perros are not in a hurry to fight. Terrible knocks him down and stomps him, but Rey catches him on the run and powerslams him. Damian in and booting Rey, but Rey moves out of the way of a charge and trips him into the corner buckle. sunset flip on Halloween, but Halloween rolled back up to take a Terrible kick for him. Terrible charges Rey, and gets waved by and out of the ring. Damian in, and he wins the punch battle, but his walking the ropes armdrags fails him yet again. Corelone back in, and all three Perros try to work him over, though eh clotheslines Damian and Terrible and Terrible gets yanked out. Corelone powerbombs Rey onto Damian and Halloween's back, and Alex adds a top rope frogsplash to both. Terrible's yanked back in so the tecnicos have all three rudos as Corelone walks up the ramp - superman dive connects, everyone covers one two three.

Replays and that's it.
