CMLL FSE - 04/08/07 (#35)
Recapped: 04/12/07

en casa de: Black Warrior

In this show's open, Monito played with the action figures. Magadan stole the Perro figure away to stop Monito from beating it up.  . Olimpico does a promo for his match that entirely consists of muscle man yelling. Shocker did the promo for his team.

Promo: Mictlan answers the Mictlan trivia questions from last week.

Match 1: Dr. X, Jeque, Loco Max (c) vs Leono, Stuka Jr., Virus (c)
Arena Coliseo, 04/08/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. rudos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 8:10
Approx Rating: Eh. By the book build for the feud.
Other Match Notes: Leono's prematch promo seems to be him kissing up to everyone everywhere, by city name. Jeque has some good evil music - it's not the music he's had recently. Stuka wants to fight him, so Jeque stays out of the ring. Loco Max cuts a Loco Max-rific promo. He's grown his hair out - well, for him.

1: Might have had a clip to start. Match turns immediately into a beatdown. Jeque beats Stuka around ringside while the other rudos do 2 on 1s in the ring. Jeque brings Stuka back in so his partners can hold him, and then knocks Stuka away form his partners in the process of beating him. Jeque does not have good clotheslines. Virus and Leono waits on the apron for a tag, which I don't think is coming. Stuka almost make sit out, but then Jeque brings him back to headbutt him out. Virus brought in, and he turns the tables - duck a double clothesline, dropkick for Jeque, roll under a move by the other two rudos (which they don't actually attempt) and tossing Leono into a dropkick on Dr. X. Loco Max tries a bodyscissors on Virus, but Virus blocks, and Leono comes out for a double team powerbomb. Virus leaves Loco to Leono, and puts Dr. X in La Rosa while Leono gets his own wacky submission. Meanwhile, Stuka chased Jeque almost all the way out of the arena.

2: Seemed like the start of this fall might be clipped as well. Leono/Loco Max start. You'd think Leono would crisper in this matchup, since they've done it quite often. Virus/Dr. X are good. Stuka/Jeque is highlighted by Stuka seeing how many times he can shove Jeque to run the ropes before finally sliding him out. Stuka teases a dive, but Jeque pulls him out and posts him. Virus takes care of Loco Max in the ring, but when he stets up a Gory Stretch, Dr. X kicks him, allowing Loco to reverse to a sunset flip for the pin. Dr. X gets his hanging spinning inverted DDT on Leono for the fall. Meanwhile, Jeque is untying Stuka's mask on the outside, and then dragging him around by it.

3: Beatdown. Jeque, going to the Pierroth school of rudo-ness, acquires a belt from somewhere, and works over Stuka with it till they take it away. It's a little bit late for Stuka - he's got a big cut on his back, which Loco Max and Dr. X pinch. That can't feel good. They stop beating on Stuka to untie his mask. Leono has a pimply back when you zoom in on it, so let's not. A corner charges goes wrong, which sends Dr. X out. Jeque tries to boot Stuka, but Stuka moves and Loco takes it, so we're left with Stuka, Jeque, and what's left of Stuka's tights - one leg  got ripped up somewhere in here. Tilt-a-whirl backbreakers for Jeque, and Stuka goes for the submission -so it's time  for Dr. X to reappear and break it out. Virus quickly sends him out with handspring reverse tope (if that's what it was), and then moves out of the way of a Loco corner charge. Virus dives off the apron to get Dr. X with a 'rana, while Leono dropkicks Loco out and follows with a slingshot tornillo. Captains are left in. Jeque tires a clothesline, Stuka covers and goes for - well, we'll never know, because Jeque just yanked his mask. Both refs saw and that's the match.

Jeque wants to stomp Stuka, but the refs cut him off. So Jeque decides to keep the mask. Stuka ends up cutting a promo with a t-shirt on his head, which is great. He wants a mask vs mask match, though I think Jeque might point out he already has the mask.

Match 2: Mascara Ano 2000, Misterioso II, Olimpico (c) vs Heavy Metal, Mascara Sagrada, Shocker (c)
Arena Coliseo, 04/08/07

  1. rudos
  2. tecnicos
  3. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:57
Approx Rating: Okay. Very little from Misterioso and Metal, whom I wanted to see. A lot of Olimpico.
Other Match Notes: I'm still not sure if Sagrada's lost weight, or if it's the outfit. I'm tempted to believe he's actually lost the weight. We've got the Magadan overdub introductions here - they've added in a really fake sounding echo. They let Mascara Sagrada do the pre-match promo. Misterioso has new entrance gear, including a hood over his hood. Olimpico is ridiculous. Some of the valet outfits are ridiculous, but in a completely different sense of the word. Misterioso II does the rudo promo.

1: Sagrada and Misterioso start, and now I think it's the outfit. Why does Sagrada get the mat open? Olimpico barely taps Sagrada to break up a hold, and Shocker scares him all the way up aisle. Shocker eventually turns to walk away, and Olimpico clubs him from behind. Don't turn your back! Rudos doing beatdown in the ring.  Shocker and Olimpico work outside while the other rudos work inside. Olimpico's finish was Fuerza's trademark foul, but done very very gently, and Sagrada didn't sell it as a foul. Beating on Olimpico. Olimpico got in his giant swing, and then added an elbow drop, but Monito was pulled to safety before Olimpico could finish him with a tope rope move.

2: Comeback apparently happened during the break, which is not the way to go. Monito gets in revenge, check. It randomly settles down to one on one. And an Olimpico/Monito pose off. They want to a piece of each other,, but Shocker keeps stopping Monito, and it gets him knocked out of the ring. Monito walks on the apron to check on him, and Olimpico kicks Monito off the apron. Shocker caught him tough, and comes back in to sunset flip Olimpico - which is a set up for a Monito legdrop. Olimpico gets in a shot, but Shocker slams him and sets up Monito up top - top rope splash, and that's enough for the fall. Sagrada and Mascara do spots even though the fall's over, leading to a Sagrada tope - which Mascara Ano doesn't catch at all. Metal gets a pin on Misterioso too because no one has any idea who the captain is. It happens.

3: Shocker steals a kiss from the valet. (But not THAT one!) Scandal. Anyway, heavy Metal actually gets to wrestle in this match for upwards of a minute before dropkicking Olimpico out and watching him almost knock down a vendor when selling the bump by rushing up the aisles. Sagrada and Mascara Ano next. Sagrada is working hard, that's for sure. Misterioso/Shocker end up being Olimpico/Shocker. Shocker gives him a bunch of tilt-a-whirl, and takes care of Misterioso next. Shocker's got some of his charisma back, but still seems a half-step slow. Monito lures Misterioso into a Shocker middle rope plancha, and then tecnicos wrap up things in the ring.

Monito books for the back after the finish for some reason. Rudos quickly head to the back, so I presume there are some shenanigans to come, but - no. Shocker gets booed doing a promo about Olimpico, that's surprising. They hadn't booed him during the match, as far as we could hear.

That's it.
