AAA Mini Line - 04/07/07 (#619)
Recapped: 08/23/07

Four sided ring!

Interview: Billy Boy's interviews out on the street, but he really wants nothing to do with Jesus Z. He cuts a promo about Apache and zooms off in his car.

Match 1: Angel Mortal, Gallego, Mr. Condor (c) vs Alan, Aventurero (c), Decnnis
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: Tecnico
Match Time: 13:22
Notes: Why DID Corazon de Barrio change his name to Aventurero? He's just a guy in black trunks, it's not like he has an actual gimmick requiring a name change now. The graphic doesn't even get his name on there - they list Mr. Condor, because he was captain for the other team. Pepe Casas is ref. We start off with rolling German Suplexes, which is a bit odd. This match is completely irrelevant nowadays, so I'm speeding thru it. It is good, with the usual quirks of AAA undercard matches, like being much longer than they needed to be. Tecnico showcases for the first 7 minutes, beatdown for about three, comeback after that. There's a sequence with the tecnicos doing the same spots at the same time, leading to a triple dive. Random theory: this is a tryout for Aventurero to take Billy's place in the Barrio Boys, in an alternate universe where they stayed tecnicos. I'm not sure if that's so correct, because they don't  lot with Aventurero, but that combo makes you think that way. The finish - Aventurero doing a bodyscissors into a small package - wasn't blown, but it was especially smooth.

Interview: Fabi, at the Juice Bar, is asked if she's a ruda - she seems to say she's just teaming up with her father. She's also asked about rumors that Billy Boy is cheating on her with another woman. Fabi doesn't believe it, but while this interview is going on, we get a split screen where Billy is seen talking to and hugging a women with a blurred out face in his car. They don't do the best job of blurring out her face - parts of it are visible as she moves around, and it's totally visible near the end.

Match 2: Fabi Apache, Gran Apache (c), Mini Chessman, Polvo de Esterllas vs Billy Boy (c), Octagoncito, Pimpinela Escarlata, Sexy Star
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 11:43
Notes: Piero is ref. Beatdown at 5. They keep Billy and Fabi apart till the beatdown, and Fabi has no problem slapping Billy Boy when he's held. Polvo is awful. Comeback's a couple minutes later. Fabi sneaks in a double underhook faceslam on Billy and pins for the probable win, but Sexi Star breaks up the pinfall. In the end, Gran Apache accidentally decks his daughter when aiming for Billy Boy. Billy superkicks Gran Apache down, turns to Fabi, and checks on her instead of attacking. Fabi slaps him, Billy staggers, and Grab Apache foul kicks him while Piero is distracted.

Billy offers to put up just about anything to face Gran Apache in a hair match right now, but Gran Apache won't accept

Interview: Sect notes they are also Mexican, and they have the power. (Kinda). They're still looking for the titles - I think they mean the parajes here. Ozz points out they're complete wrestlers, unlike SOME people.

Match 3: Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz (c) vs Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Psicosis II (c)
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 7:30
Other Match Notes: Rudos jump tecnicos after introductions. Copetes is ref and helps out the rudos, so Psicosis gives him armdrags and backbreakers after the comeback (2:30ish). No DQ for that, even though Ozz points out he could totally do that. Final sequence is the captains (and Copetes counting). Psicosis goes for a tope rope 'rana, but Ozz blocks it, and ends up with a middle rope Styles Clash. As these things go, it's relatively safe. Copetes fast counts it for good measure, and Lider argues that count, but Psicosis wasn't getting up. Lider's bodysuit here does not look fashionable at all.

NOTI AAA
-
tribute to Black Shadow
- bounty on Cibernetico is up to $30,000
- someone's getting a sword for Rey de Reyes

Earlier, Billy Boy challenges Gran Apache to a street fight. I guess he was meant to accept it, because now we have

Match 4: Gran Apache vs Billy Boy in a street fight
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: DRAW - doctor's stoppage.
Match Time: 10:45
Other Match Notes: We see Billy warming up behind the apron, and then we see Apache cranking him with a cookie sheet. Copetes tries to stop Apache (why now?) but no go on that. Apache walks Billy Boy thru the entrance, grabbing him by his hair. Is he bleeding already? Might be, but we can't exactly see. Billy gets posted, and Gran Apache covers him for what might be two, but we can't see the ref.

Gran Apache rolls Billy back into the ring, and I guess we're never getting a bell. Billy is choked on the ropes. He's bleeding after all. Scoop, slam. Top rope tope con giro splash, one - kickout? Copetes is not fast counting. Punch to the head. Billy ain't going anywhere, so Gran Apache brings in three chairs, throws one back out, and wedges one in the corner. Billy's rammed head first into it. Cover, one two no. Gran Apache argues the count. It's normal. Gran Apache grabs Billy in a front facelock, but then beats him down. The only thing stopping Apache at the moment are the crowd chants. Billy Boy suddenly reveres a whip into a drop toe hold into a chair set up in the corner. Billy covers for two, which is a little slow. Inside cradle, one two NO. Apache's clothesline misses, Billy's dropkick does not. TOPE connects, and drives Apache into the short wall, close to the ring this week. They battle over the barricade into the first row, and Billy throws Apache onto the steps. It is a street fight, so Copetes goes over to count a pinfall. Billy drags Apache up to the walk way behind the the main seats, and there's punching and kicking and garbage can swinging there. Gran Apache is bleeding. Did he blade while in the crowd? That can't be right, he must've done on it on the chair and we didn't see it before. They brawl going around the stadium, no one having much of an edge for long, but the seats generally losing. How did Piero get up with them? I guess he's working security, as they try to keep people away from the fight. They assault each other with trash bags, which seem full of soft jackets. Someone's got Billy Boy blood all over a jacket. Around and around they brawl. Billy misses a chair shot to the head, and hits the siding of the upper deck, then gets in a argument with security. Apache waits for him to turn around and hits him with a chair., then sets up a table. They're right in front of a hallway, so it's obvious Gran Apache is going off the overhang as he sets it up. Top con giro thru Billy Boy and the table connects. The table actually breaks that's good. Neither guy is moving - well, now Billy Boy is into convulsions. The Doctor is out there telling Copetes that he's stopping the match, and Copetes signals as much to the camera. I guess Billy's gone into seizures, because they stuff something down his throats to prevent him from choking on his tongue, and carry him out. They use a chair as a stretcher for Apache as well.

Match 5: Fuerza Guerrera & Pirata Morgan vs Juventud Guerrera & Octagón
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: Tecnicos (Octagon jarrocha Fuerza)
Match Time: 5:30
Other Match Notes: Tirantes is supposed to be referee for this match, but walks out when the crowd gets on him. Pepe Casas takes his place, and the rudos jump the tecnicos. This is a "Fuerza ties Octagon's mask the top rope " match. Pepe tries to untie it at times, but the rudos come over to attack Octagon and brush Pepe away. Tirantes returns to get in cheap shots on Octagon. Joe Lider makes the save, dropkicking Tirantes and giving Octagon a new mask (so he can slip out of the tied one) at about 5:00. Match is over quick after that. Juvi says Octagon is his new dad. Juvi does crotch chops around Octagon, which I didn't need to see. It's too bad Juvi didn't start dressing in a Hijo de Octagon outfit.

Match 6: Abismo Negro (c), Antifaz del Norte, Histeria, Mr. Niebla vs Alebrije, El Elegido (c), La Parka Jr., Zorro
Tlaxacalita, 03/10/07

Winner: Vipers
Match Time: 17:13
Other Match Notes: Rudos jump tecnicos when Parka is goofing around pre-match. Arturo is hurrying to get in the introductions and says this is 2 of 3, but nope. Piero is referee. Comeback at about 4 when Cuije is pulled out of the way of a Niebla corner charge. Standard match. Endgame is Elegido getting a few near cradle near falls on Abismo, but Abismo blocks a casita and turns it into into his own pin for the win.

That's it.
