Match 1: Leono, Sagrado (c), Virus vs Arkangel, Mogur, Nitro (c)
Arena Coliseo, 02/25/06

  1. rudo
  2. tecnico
  3. tecnico

Winner: tecnico (2-1)
Match Time: 10:32
Approx Rating: Just okay.
Other Match Notes: Why is Leono using "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress"? I have no objections to the song, it's just an odd pick. Monito is out with Sagrado. Sagrado is wearing a t-shirt that has a picture of him wearing a belt, and it took a half second to remember why. Mogur and Leono do pre-match interviews, with pointing and such. Rudos jump the tecnicos before the introductions are finished.

1: Tecnicos turn the tide real quick, and tease a triple dive - only Sagrado does it, with Virus sliding out, and MOgur holding up in the ring to draw Mogur inside. The refs are busy with the action on the outside, so after Leono gives Mogur a plancha and stands up for more, Mogur goes down faking a foul. That'll count, and that was quick. Leono can't believe it. Here are some replays.

2: Clip here to start the fall - on moment Leono's on the outside, rolling in pain, and then he's magically inside fighting Mogur. Superkick, check. His superkick never gets higher than mid-chest. Nitro and Sagrado next, Sagrado looks okay on a headscissors and an enziguri. Virus and Arkangel - Arkangel does a random spinning clothesline. Virus slides out to avoid a corner charge, kicks Arkangel around from the apron, and signs in the ring with a dropkick to the head. 2 count. Virus armdrags Arkangel out, but teases the div when he moves. Back to the cats. Leono flattens Mogur with a springboard dropkick, Nitro adds a running boot, Virus lands a top rope plancha on him, Arkangel grabs Virus but Virus moves out of the way of Nitro's chop, Virus tosses Sagrado into a dropkick on both. Sagrado with the up and over sunset flip on Arkangel, Virus with a mounted armbar on Nitro for the fall. Meanwhile, Leono chases Mogur outside and kicks him when he begs off.

3: None of the rudos want to start this fall. None of the the tecnicos either - they're all outside hanging out. Okay, finally Nitro comes in and throws Virus around. They get into a chop battle, and now everyone's wandering around the ring. Leono's isolated, the other tecnicos thrown out, so Mogur can work over him some more. Make a wish! Arkangel suddenly has this brilliant idea to lift Leono up on his shoulders for a move. Both Mogur and Nitro head to the corner to do something, but Nitro can't get his balance so he drops off. Mogur goes to the second rope, not the top, which allows him to perform the worst Doomsday Device ever. Arkangel doesn't fall backwards with the impact, Leono just spins and falls off in a horrible fashion. He's alive, but barely so. Never do that one again. Sagrado's turn, though Mogur keeps working Leono in the ropes. Sagrado gets a double pump slam, and then Arkangel and Nitro to try to help Mogur, though Mogur's in a position were they cant help much. They get him to let go of Leono instead, and work over Virus with chops. That doesn't last long, and Leono's bought back in for each guy to take turns slapping. Mogur pounds him into the mat. Arkangel decks Sagrado as he tries to come in the ring. Triple boot for Leono, but he's held in the ring for leg holds. Virus tries to get in, and Nitro posts him. More beating Leono and knocking the other two off the apron. This beatdown is not every interesting. Ah, they're going to do a corner whip. Leono kips up and over the charge, and then ducks a double clothesline, which gets Mogur instead. Back elbow for Arkangel, Nitro boots him, Sagrado superkicks him, Arkangel dropkicks him. Virus tries to dropkick Arkangel, but he moves, charges and gets backdropped to the floor. Virus out after him, and Leono in with a plancha for Mogur. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and Mogur retreats out - tope! Captains back in and exchanging chops. Sagrado gets in another superkick to send Nitro out, and goes up top - plancha to the floor. Arkangel in and climbing the ropes, so Virus gives him a super armdrag. Mogur in, and looking for Leno - oh, he's looking the wrong way. Leono hits a dropkick, misses a second, and fakes foul before the third. Mogur can't believe someone would do such a thing. That's it. Refs were looking at the dive carnage once again.

Leono demands the hair/hair match. A random rudo fan runs up to the mic and claims it wasn't a foul. Mogur says no hair/hair match for now.

Match 2: Eclipse, Mascara Ano 2000, Universo 2000 (c) vs Blue Panther, Lizmark Jr. (c), Negro Casas
Arena Mexico, 02/16/07

  1. Rudos
  2. Tecnicos
  3. Rudos

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 12:31
Approx Rating: Not horrific, but I don't need to see it again.
Other Match Notes: No entrances. If this isn't bad, it's a miracle. Why is Lizmark captain? Bad strategically move by the tecnicos.

1: Rowdy tecnico fans have Negro Casas 4:40 shirts this week, for whatever reason. Negro vs Eclipse, showing that Eclipse is strong and Negro is smarter. Negro can't knock Eclipse down, and opts to leave. Lizmark in, and there's the superkick. Capos rush him, and we may be going to beatdown right off. The colors are all faded and off here - it's because of the scroll, I think. Blue Panther gets held for a beating from Mascara Ano 200, and breaks free to get revenge. Rudos subdue him and give him corner clotheslines. Panther collapses after taking one from Eclipse, as if it knocked him out. If it didn't, he's doing a fine job of being dead and not moving at all. Referee checks on him - this is far more infesting than the beatdown on Negro, and I think something must've happened because he still doesn't move. HE does appear to be breathing, so that's good. Lizmark's in, so perhaps they'll end this. Hey, Panther's rolled over, that's great. Negro and the Doctor and Baby Richard check on him while Lizmark gets held down for three by everyone.

Panther's talking to the doctor and Commissioner Scorpio. Now I'm back to thinking he was just selling Eclipse's clothesline as fatal. It's easier to by cynical.

2: And the beatdown goes on. Panther is fighting like nothing has just happened to him, so there's that. Lizmark and Panther try rushing at the same time, but that does work, and then Negro comes in and then all three tecnicos get tossed out, so we've got nothing going on. Dig the video screens CMLL's got going in the background. Tecnicos huddle outside, which isn't compelling. Oh wow, they put the rotating signboards up as the ring aprons. That's pretty creative. The text messaging disappears here as well, and the picture immediately improves. Lizmark gets corner whipped, but moonsaults out over two guys and gives a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Mascara Ano 200. Clothesline for the other two, and the comeback is on. Panther has it in for Mascara Ano 2000 today for whatever reason, chopping him a bunch. Negro kicks Eclipse of the ring and then just kinda stands around. That may be the way to go in this match. I think Negro may just be making faces at Eclipse form a safe distance. Meanwhile, Lizmark and Panther beat up on the Capos on the outside. Universo gets isolated in the ring with Negro and Panther. Backdrop by Panther,, dropkick by Negro, Universo out, and Lizmark topes him. Mascara and Eclipse rush the two tecnicos left in the ring, but they turn the tables and take them down. Submissions for everyone! Negro leaves his hold on forever and almost gets DQed for it. Then he poses on Eclipse's body. Then he punches Eclipse. Huh.

In between matches is clipped out.

3: Mascara Ano and Blue Panther start, and look like old men. Panther blocks a sunset flip for three seconds, so Lizmark can walk over and kick Mascara. Whip, backdrop, clothesline takes Mascara out. Panther looked like he was setting up for a dive, but it was just a look. Negro in, and Mascara - who looks way fat this week - into face him. Chop battle, Mascara cheats and kicks. whip, Mascara tries a kick again, Negro catches it and elbows it. Negro grabs Mascara in a front facelock, Eclipse in, Negro tries to kick him but Eclipse grabs the foot, and Mascara clotheslines Negro down. Negro tries to roll out, but Eclipse keeps him in and holds him over the ropes for Mascara to boot. Negro tries to get a tag, and makes it this time. Negro sure don't like Eclipse. I can not argue with him! Eclipse with a kick for Lizmark. Corner whip, reverse, Lizmark corner clotheslines him. Abdominal stretch! Universo breaks it up. Universo calls in Panther, and then begs for handshake. Panther needs input from the crowd if he should accept. Universo gets very upset that the crowd is against him, and beats down Panther. Universo poses for our benefit. Panther fires up with some chops, and Universo goes down to one knee. Corner whip, only instead of running from corner to corner, Universo wackily spins round and round to the other corner. That is the most preposterous thing I've ever seen. Blue Panther somehow misses the charge, and Universo gets him with a clothesline. Corner whip, Universo with a cross body. Universo rolls thru and kicks him out. Lizmark out, and Universo freaking out. Clothesline misses, Universo sunset flip, Lizmark rolls thru, sneaks thru the back, and kicks Universo in the back when he covers up the front. Into the corner, more chest slaps. Corner whip, reversed, Universo charges in and no one's home. Dropkick, and out goes Universo . Eclipse attacks Lizmark before he can do anything, and the other four all in and the tecnicos are whipped into each other. Eclipse misses a corner charge on Panther and posts himself, going to the floor. Panther thinks about diving, then realizes Mascara Ano is standing there and attacks him. Mascara whips Panther, and he turns it into a tope on Eclipse. Negro knocks down Mascara Ano 2000, and Mascara's not taking Negro's corner dropkick to face - he gets a hand up to shield himself on the kick. It looked bad. Negro gets Mascara in a stalling hold while Lizmark comes back in with plancha for Universo. Superkick is caught, Universo trips him up and puts on the STF. Lizmark Jr. holds out a while - or he's taping and the ref hasn't figured out that he's taping - enough time for Mascara to back suplex Negro and get a near fall as well, not that it matters. I can't believe Universo actually pinned someone clean. This is why you don't make Lizmark Jr. captain!

And we're out like that.
