AAA Mini Line - 03/02/07 (#614)

Match 1: La Diabolica, La Hechicera, Martha Villalobos (c) vs Miss Janeth, Rossy Moreno(c), Tiffany
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: Brujas (Rossy senton Martha)
Match Time: 9:09
Notes: Well, this won't work out for Martha. Janeth is wearing the Reina de Reinas title - hey, about time. Piero is your ref. Guess we've got the four sided ring tonight - do they have a six sided cage? I don't remember one. Might be a clip at the start. We join with a Brujas beatdown. Martha's team turns it around in 15 seconds, so it had to be a clip. Martha's side gets tecnica showcases, but it's really all the Brujas making their stuff good. A lot of comedy stuff with the Brujas goofing up. Tecnicos do the worst version of the Porky "everyone splash the rudos until he big person does" spot. Diabolica has a nice thru the ropes tope con giro here. With a better group of tecnicos, this could've been actually good, but Martha and Hechicera need to keep things slow, much to their determent. Martha goes to the middle rope for a splash on Rossy, Rossy moves out of the way, Martha stays there, La Diabolica climbs up and armdrags her off. Rossy gets in a senton for the win. That was a waste of time. Hechicera appears to still be a face here, for those wondering. (Who?) I think this continued Diabolica/Martha's feud in Martha's promotion, if there was a reason at all. Just when you think it's over, Diabolica attempts to break Martha's leg - and then Martha walks around fine. So that didn't work.

Promo: Angel talks up the next match and points and such.

Match 2: May Flowers, Pimpinela Escarlata vs El Angel, Laredo Kid in a AAA Tag Tournament Match
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: May Flowers & Pimpinela Escarlata
Match Time: 9:52
Notes: No entrances. You ref is Tirantes. Much Exotico wackiness to start. After that, Laredo Kid and May have an exhcange which ends with May taking a bump into the crowd before Laredo Kid even starts his dive - he ends up landing on his feet off his a tope con hilo (and then slipping on the floor). That was dumb. Very to form match with the Fuerza Aerea getting in a few high spots. Pimpi setting Angel in a reinera on the ground and standing up with it took a lot of work. Surprised at the finish (though I guess I should know, right?)

Vignette: Hey look, Mascara Divina is still wrestling here! Oriental and Divina think they're winning the tag titles, that's funny.

Match 3: Antifaz, Histeria vs Mascara Divina, Oriental in a AAA Tag Tournament Match
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: Vipers
Match Time: 10:34
Other Match Notes: Pepe Casas is ref. Standard match. Nothing wrong with it, but no better or more noteworthy than a half dozen other matches in the tournament, and I don't have a particular desire to see this guys. It's to form - tecnicos early, rudo beatdown where they hit moves and don't bother to break it up, and then everyone takes turn getting near falls and/or breaking them up. Announcers entertain themselves by talking to fans. Antifaz takes out Divina with a slingshot tornillo (Divina only sort of caught him), and Oriental got a giant DDT on Histeria for - one. Oriental is easily shorter than Histeria, and Histeria always looks short. Missile dropkick gets two - why is Antifaz standing around watching? Because it's not the near fall he's supposed to break up. Oriental does a very very slow of Super Crazy's Moonsault From Each Rope. Luckily, he pays for it and eats knees. Histeria has a cool entry into a chinlock tapatia, and that'll do it.

Noti AAA:
- Who's side are you on? La Parka Jr. or Cibernetico?
- and who ran in last week anyway
- Toluca crowd is great.
- Prez Roldan updates the situation - La Parka Jr. says it wasn't him who ran in, and he's still investigating.
- Pirata Morgan reminds us he's the greatest. Okay.

Interview: Pirata Morgan. It's been so long since we heard from him. He's going to beat up those Mexican Power kids ("girls"), and he's got a surprise for Juvi.

Match 4: Fuerza Guerrera (c), Pirata Morgan, Sangre Chicana vs Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventued Guerrera (c)
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 10:53
Other Match Notes: Mexican Powers have the Atomicos belts. Sangre Chicana still works here! Pirata gets the microphone, and repeats his speech to the Mexican Powers. And the surprise is Fuerza, out to fight his own son. Juvi can't believe this. Juvi actually seems surprised he'd hang out with Chicana and Pirata - of he course he would. Fuerza's ashamed that he has a tecnico son, basically. Fuerza gives him one final shot to go rudo. Crazy and Lider try to convince him otherwise. Juvi says a lot to say he's sticking with the Mexican Powers - and the rudos jump 'em. Tirantes is the ref.

Fuerza wastes no time in kicking and punching around his son. Juvi's not fighting back much, but I don't know he has a choice. Juvi gets the comeback after all of 40 seconds. He's got no problem attacking his father. The old guys have to take all the wacky Mexican Power offense, which seems wrong. It's simple drop toe holds into chairs this week, though. Things settle down to Juvi and Fuerza one on one and Fuerza lays out his sown with a big slap. Juvi rallies back when Fuerza misses a dropkick to the outside, and gets him with a pescado. Both Crazy Boy and Joe Lider are wrestling in shirts this week. So is Pirata, but his shirt actually seems to be part of his outfit. Crazy works in a moonsault off the barricade. Fuerza and Juvi again - Joe Lider was in for a short bit. Fuerza suckers his son with the handshake spot. It's a showcase for Juvi otherwise. Juvi's pin gets broken up, which lead to the other four in. Lider and Pirata get thrown out, Sangre and Crazy try dives, except the guys on the outside switch places as the last second and the partners get each other with dives. Well, in theory - Lider was off his mark, Crazy mostly missed him, and Lider took a delayed bump which caused his head to boink into the corner of the barricade. It sucks to be Joe Lider. Guerrera back in. Juvi gets a 'rana, Tirantes counts one, and then just stops. Well, I guess if you're going to do that, you might as well. Juvi thinks about killing Tirantes but does not. Fuerza goes for the Fuerza low blow punt, but I guess Juvi blocks it because Fuerza is grabbing his knee for some reason. Juvi fouls Fuerza, and Tirantes thinks about the DQ - why not? Juvi gets thrown a chair by Crazy Boy, before he takes a backdrop into the crowd. Juvi's spending a lot of time thinking about the chair shot, and everyone's kinda waiting for him to do the spot. Now he drops the chair, kisses his dad on the forehead, and hugs him. That was dumb. Pirata kicks him in the back and chops him around. Mounted punches. Fuerza asks Pirata to lay off - Pirata won't, so they get into an argument. Shoving. Fuerza settles down as Chicana arrives. Fuerza picks up his son, looks him in the face, and knees him low. Chop to knock him down, and Pirata holds Juvi for a Fuerza chair shot to the head. That'll do. Hey, Tirantes, Pirata is counting, you want to count? One two three. Fuerza talks about good parenting with the announcers.

Back in the ring, Juvi is bleeding quite a bit, and they're not doing beating him up. Pirata gives him another chair to the head. Mexican Powers try to help, and they get beat up. How about Octagon? Chest slaps for everyone - Fuerza is long gone, so it's just Pirata and Chicana. Octagon and Mexican Powers try to help Juvi to stand, but he's hurting too much.

Match 5: Alan Stone, Hator, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido vs Alebrije, Intocable, Octagon, Brazo de Plata
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: Guapos
Match Time: 7:48
Other Match Notes: Entrances go Hator, Alebrije (w/Cuije and their belts), Zumbido, Porky, Scorpio, break, Octagon, Alan, Intocable. That was odd. This week, Intocable has male and female backup dancers. They're very much not on the same page, which makes it better. Alan attempts to steal the girls! This starts the fight, if you would believe it. Piero's the ref, so this will be annoying. After beating up the tecnicos some, rudos play Catch The Cuije. Alan sets him down, slaps him, and tells Cuije to watch him dance. Cuije does, mocks the dance, and shoves Alan low. That's how they start the comeback. Tecnico showcases, the same as ever. Highlight is Hator teasing throw Cuije into row 9, and then getting killed by an Alebrije tope. This was the start of a dive train, with Zumbido, Intocable - Alan being cut off and thrown out by Porky - and a Porky thru the ropes tope. Very fortunate that Piero happened to be sitting on the middle rope and pushing it as hard down as possible. Octagon cuts off Scorpio set got the set usual end game - so outcomes Tirantes and Fuerza. Chair shots for Octagon, Scorpio rolled on top, rudos roll out and escape as if that'll be a DQ, and Piero fast counts to make sure. It took me three weeks to figure this out, but it sure seems obvious now Octagon is going to end up winning Tirantes hair. Intocable gets beat up post match too. Octagon is stretchered out. Of course, they attack him on his way out. If that happens every time, it doesn't mean much.

Match 6: Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz vs Charly Manson, Chessman, Cibernetico, tecnico in a cage match
Plaza de Toros de Irapuato, Guanajuato, 02/05/07

Winner: Sect
Match Time: 14:20
Other Match Notes: Ozz's beard is getting crazy long. Cage is filled with weapons - well, I guess why not. They're calling Sect Diabolica here - they did last week and I paid no mind. Cuervo opts to yell at the crowd. Oh, naughty word. Cuervo (yelling angrily) explains a new rule for this match - you leave, you can't return or you'll be auto DQed. Cuervo says they're the ones looking for revenge. Charly's smart enough to wait for his partners before going in the cage. Look at all the camera phones. Pepe Casas is ref. We got kids jumping the rail again. And a break before it can get started.

Outside: Hey, La Parka Jr. is hanging out? He's not being allowed into the building, because he's still suspended. The fans vouch for him, but he's not allowed in.

I like how they list this as A Una Ciada. Best out of three falls cage match is coming, surely. On that note, Pepe Casas is safely on the outside of the cage. Since the Sect have the low ground when the match starts, they can attack the Hell Brothers as they climb into the cage (why they're climbing, I don't know.) Fans try the Ole chant, but it doesn't seem to catch. Cibernetico turns it around, taking Ozz into a chair, which apparently inspires the others to do damage. We see most of Ciber working over Ozz while the other four are fighting elsewhere in the cage. Charly Manson climbs up the cage - I guess we've got no time limit here - but Cuervo pulls him back in. Cibernetico switches to breaking Scoria's leg. Did Dr. Alfonso Morales drop Mistico's name? They must be talking about the awards, but the AAA announcers don't want to talk about that Mistico guy. Cibernetico uses a chair on people and mixes it up by holding people so other people can hit them with a chair. There's people right next to the microphone who yell the Ciber chant, but you can tell it's just three. I don't know how we get there - it's set up as we get a crowd shot of the chanting people - but the Sect all end up with sunset flip attempts on the Hell Brothers. The Hell Brothers break free, and since their opponents are on the ground, run for it. They climb the cage, and Charly makes it the farthest, but they all get pulled back in.  Sect take control and get corner sunset flips, for whatever reason, but the Hell Brothers slip out and try to climb. Again, the Sect pulls them down, though Charly's close to the top. Hell Brothers gets control back rather quick this time. HBs try whips, and the Sect just jump on the cage and try to climb. HBs pull them back off the cage. Hell Brothers settle for beating up the Sect and yelling at the camera. Cuervo gets control long enough to monkey flip Charly into the cage, and Charly hangs on to it, climbing up. It's probably not a good sign that the cage bends inwards as Charly and Cuervo climbs up. They've both got a foot on the top rope and an arm on the top of the cage, battling there. Charly kicks Cuervo feet out, crotching him, and climbs out. He's done

Sect uses the numbers to stomp a mudhole in the remaining Hell Brothers. They start beating Chessman 3 on 1, which allows Cibernetico to make a punch kick Stunner come back. Cibernetico pulls Chessman up and goes to climb. Cibernetico has some trouble on the section that's bending, but he gets up. The problem is, Chessman took a different wall, and the Sect are all over him. Cibernetico, straddling the top of the cage, tries to reach over and pull Chessman up, but the Sect has him and they're pulling him away. Chessman falls back out of Cibernetico's reach - "NOOOOOO!" Cibernetico climbs down, leaving his friend to die. Way to go.

For their part, the crowd starts chanting for Chessman immediately. For their part, the Sect start showing off moves they can do to Chessman, who's already hurting. Nice standing moonsault by Ozz. Chairshot to the head for Chessman. Are they going to use the wood paneling that's been there all match long? Hell Brothers, unable to come back in, lead the cheers for Chessman, but he gets clipped with a chair. Now they're climbing back up, but stop halfway. The Sect decide it's time to leave (and the HBs climb down - maybe that was a goof?), but Chessman grabs Scoria's leg as he tries to escape and latches on. Ozz and Cuervo get all the way up, climb over, and realize their parent's trapped to late. Chessman's down and Scoria's kicking him around, so I guess they decide he's fine. Backdrop by Scoria. Ozz encourages Scoria to leave before he gets killed by the monster, but Scoria's sure he's got this. Whip, reversed, Scoria misses a clothesline, Chessman lands a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Going out? No, Chessman gets a chair. Shot to the gut, staggering around, and now dropping the chair. Whip, chair shot misses, and Escoria lands a wheel kick to the chair. What's Escoria doing now? Propping up one of those panels in a corner. This is will end badly for him, for sure. Chessman misses a corner charge into a non panel side, and Escoria knocks him down with a dropkick. There's another. Both men are down, though. Chessman gets to the opposite corner of the paneling, and tries a dropkick, but Escoria moves. Now they've switched positions, and Chessman's is to the paneling. Escoria charges, Chessman ducks a clothesline, Escoria stops short of the paneling (this knocks it off balance, and it's hanging crooked and wavering in the corner), Escoria shoulderblocks Chessman and turns to turn to the corner, but there's paneling there, so eh turns around again, and gets speared thru the paneling. That actually turned out to look good. They went right thru the center and things exploded. And they had multiple camera angles! Chessman - is still not leaving. Oh, he's setting up chairs.

Outside: La Parka Jr. has scaled a wall and is now sneaking into the building! He really must want to see how this one turns out.

Chessman props up another piece of paneling on four chairs - this only makes sense if he's putting Scoria on it and jumping thru it, but of course he doesn't, just climbing up the cage. Escoria is up behind - he's had plenty of time to recover. They both straddle the top of the cage and fight and - La Parka Jr. is out with a chair, though apparently he's changed clothes in the last 30 seconds. HMMMMM. He climbs the cage - slips off, climbs again - where Chessman and Escoria are. Guess all the other match participants are on the other side of the ring? La Parka Jr. hits Chessman in the back with a chair once, but not hard and loses hold of it, so that's not going to work. You gotta improves, and as Chessman stands on top of the cage (for no good reason), La Parka shoves him over, off the cage and thru the paneling. Scoria tries to climb out, but he's got to get around Charly first. He presumably does, but we're no longer caring - Prez Roldan cuts of La Parka Jr.'s escape path, wanting to know what's up with that. He tries to make a run for it, but security gets him and

- hey, that's La Parka Jr. running towards the ring! He gets to the aisle, and we've got two La Parkas! Why, that's impossible! La Parka Jr. calls the other one an imposter - there can only be one La Parka, and it's him. La Parka JR. rips off the fake's mask - it's Nicho and he's angry. And some how gets his microphone. He yells at Cibernetico - he's angry what he did about to Konnan, and they'll have their revenge on Cibernetico. Nicho tries to get away, but security holds him back. Security does a worse job with La Parka Jr. - nah, they got him. Nicho's dragged to the back.

Cibernetico's has to be held back from going backstage to get Nicho. Chessman's down in the ring still, but he's got people looking at him, I think. Cibernetico rants, and Chessman is carried off.
